Been here two times now and it's good. Service is quick. Both food options I got were delicious. Will try something new next time.

For a family of four, paying over $100 is pretty reasonable nowadays, but with that comes certain expectations. So my family is split down the middle on this one. My fiancé and I weren't very satisfied, but our sons devoured theirs so that's the conundrum. We shall likely give it one more go.

Custom Ramen - Shoyu broth, thick noodle, grilled steak, shiitake mushroom, marinated bamboo, soft boiled egg, cilantro and serranos :)

I was craving ramen so I decided to stop by Ramen Hayashi. There was a lot of seating inside and outside. It was well spaced out and first you would get in line to order then you would pay at the counter. The employee that took my order was courteous. I ordered for a custom ramen with shoyu broth, thick noodle, grilled steak, shiitake mushroom, marinated bamboo, soft boiled egg, cilantro and serranos. The ambiance was nice and the seating was comfortable. My food came out pretty fast and I took a first sip of the broth and it was delicious :) the noodles were the perfect size and all of the ingredients went well together. Every ingredient was the right amount and I left the restaurant full and happy.

This ramen place is located in the middle of Fresno which I usually lower my expectation of their quality and services, but this place seems to serves a decent quality of ramen and other dishes such as Takoyaki. I was surprised at how quick the service is while it tastes pretty good. There are plenty of seatings and it's self seated based after you order at the front desk. PRO: convenience & quick service CON: good taste but don't expect authentic flavor like a family own ramen place. ( it really a con but just not over expecting quality from them)

    Tonkotsu ramen, gyoza, passionfruit lemonade
    Sunitha G.

I have tried both locations and I personally really enjoy this one. There's plenty of seating/space and on a busy weekend night, it doesn't feel overly crowded or overwhelming. My go-to is the tonkotsu ramen but I've also built my own and both have always been great! The broth is very flavorful and rich, so comforting for the colder season. If you've only ever tried it through a delivery service/pickup, you need to try it dining in, it taste way better that way! The only downside is every time I order a Thai tea, they tell me they're out and have to switch my drink to something else. The last drink I got was a passionfruit lemonade (I panicked and randomly picked something else) and was disappointed because of how sweet it was for me, I had to put water in it. But the Thai tea must be popular if I keep missing it lol Definitely try this place out, it's great for a group or solo dining.

Shio Ramen (left) & Hokkaido Ramen (right)

Decided to try Ramen Hayashi for dinner on a cold day and we were pleasantly surprised! The interior is modern and spacious. You first order in the front, then find your table and the provided tracker will allow your food to be delivered to you. On our visit, we ordered the Hokkaido Ramen and the Shio Ramen. The shio broth is advertised as a lightly salted chicken broth which was used in both ramen dishes. The Hokkaido ramen had scallops, shrimp and fishcake with a fried egg. The seafood added a lot of depth to the broth but I thought the seafood portion was very small and the fried egg was not a good addition. I would suggest trying if you can substitute the fried egg for their marinated boiled egg instead. The Shio ramen was nice and light. My friend said she really enjoyed it. It is a tad pricey but it is a delicious, quick meal!

    Mochi Ice Cream

This was the most delicious ramen! The shio ramen broth was so light and tasty. I absolutely loved the sweet corn and the boiled egg-- I was saving them for last because they were so yummy! Don't sleep on the mochi ice cream!!! The tartness of the strawberry balanced out the sweetness of the ice cream; the whipped cream was a perfect counterpoint to the earthiness of the matcha flavor. I was immediately struck by how big the seating area is! I was worried about the "order the seat yourself" but they have such a smooth system where they give you a little tracker for your table, so you still get your food with no delays!

Great tasting ramen! My family and I made this place a pit-stop for dinner on a Sacramento to Los Angeles trip. It was a little off the freeway exit, but it was well worth the short detour! Our orders were quickly taken on the counter and we were off to find our table. A lot of places to choose from inside and outside seating was also available. And the place was nicely decorated and well-lit! Feels comfortable to dine inside! The menu was quite expansive. And you even have the choice of minor changes to the regular menu. I ordered an Oxtail Ramen...a first of this kind for me, so I just had to have it. And it passed with flying colors! Weird ingredient...but absolutely tasty! And at a really affordable price range! You just have to try our this place when you're in the area! You will love it!

    Tonkatsu ramen and gyoza
    Priscilla M.

Good quality broth which quick service! Love that customers order at the counter so wait times are short. Featured is the tonkotsu ramen with gyoza. The broth must've been brewing for hours or even days because it makes each bite of noodle so savory. It's nicely complimented by the saltiness of the seaweed and umami flavor of the soft boiled egg. It's open seating and this location has a pretty big space. The workers will occasionally come to check on you even though there's no assigned waiter/waitress for each table. One of my favorite ramen spots in the valley!

    Donburi
    Jennifer B.

Please stop being so good!! We stopped in for donburi and some appetizers. The cheesy corn croquettes were winners again although they seemed a bit small, but no worries, we also got edamame! Delish. The bowls are so wildly good! I got steak and my friend got chicken and they were cool enough to get my friend gluten free teriyaki! Always a win in my book!

    The Fried Rice (Yakimeshi) 6/12/25

My family and I came here on 6/12/25 for my nieces birthday as she picked her bday spot. Upon arriving there was a long line. Both of orders to dine in and Togo. We decided to dine in. We ordered. The food was delicious. Every single item was flavorful and tasty. The fried rice was so yummy 9/10. My sister got a rice bowl which was delicious too and I got the Spinach Noddles with one of their noodle dishes. It was probably the best dish I had for noodle ever! So addictive!!! The appetizers were tasty the spring rolls, gyozas and unsure what the balls were but they were so tasty but had a weird texture. Staff was very. Cleaning up as they go. Very spacious outside and inside as well. Overall, the food is hands down delicious and definitely gonna add this place on rotation. Definitely goof eats here!

    Tonkatsu
    Sam G.

Yum, yum, yum with an extra side of YUM!! Perfect spot for colder weather and you're just craving a good batch of warm soup with all the toppings! Once you enter, you order at the desk and pay before you pick your seat and the food is brought to your table. My only con with this was the woman taking our order didn't seem to be the post patient to work with, but that's fine. Plenty of seating, with booths, seats, high chairs, and outdoor seating. I ordered the Build Your Own, with a Spicy Miso broth base, thick noodles, chashu pork, corn, marinated egg and inari. My mom ordered the same but with a tonkatsu base. Another con would be the charging of the toppings, which if you're like me and enjoy a ton of toppings, your bowl would be on the pricier side so I opted to pick what I wanted most. Spicy miso broth was super rich in all the right places, savory, the noodles had the perfect amount of bite in it! I've had better/more tender chashu pork, but it got the job done! We also ordered some chashu tacos which were also super yummy! Came in 3 and just the perfect small bites to get the meal going!

    Chicken Karange
    Helen T.

I gave it a few visits before I wanted to give a review as I had mix feelings. Realistically I would give it about 3.5/5 as I wished the broth was more rich in flavor consider the price point. We tried the spicy oxtail miso ramen which was like $23 and it didn't quite meet expectation and I also ordered the tonkantsu ramen and other than the veggies and cha shu was decent but the noodles and broth wasn't all that I expect it to be. Kids did like the masubi (2 pieces per order) and chicken karange which came in a good amount. Service was ok but on a Friday night the line was long due to only one taking orders. But it's clean with plenty of seating and located by shopping and movie theater so it's convenient.

It was quite an interesting industrial, unfinished aesthetic. Definitely nostalgic and made me miss my fixed up white Acura Integra..ala 2001. Yea..I'm a girl and yea I use to race. ;) Such a good pit stop on our family's Spring Break road trip to Yosemite. It definitely refueled us for the rest of our journey. Known for its customizable ramen bowls with flavorful broths and a wide variety of toppings, as well as, other menu items like rice bowls, bentos, and dumplings, Tsuchiya Ramen definitely lived up to it's almost 5 star Yelp reviews. The waitress was friendly and the food came out fairly quickly once our order was taken ~ less than 10 mins for sure! I ordered the spicy miso ramen ($17.99) with a sweet corn side (+$1.50) and complimentary topping of the fried garlic. The hakata (thin style noodles) were perfectly cooked, with a lil al dente bit to them. It had all the trimmings that I like ~ green onion, chashu, jammy egg, crunchy wood ear mushrooms, naruto fish cake, marinated bamboo, and nori. The broth was authentic, flavored with such depth. You can really taste the slow-cooked, miso quality in it. I loved the fried garlicky taste too! It was the right level of spice, I didn't even need to add any chili oil, like I usually do. My picky daughter opt'd for the "make your own ramen" option (starting at $12.99) ~ getting the same hakata thin noodle with tonkatsu broth, chashu (+$3.25), fried tofu (+$2.50), and freebie toppings of nori, sesame seeds & fried garlic. My son ordered the OG tonkatsu ramen w/ extra marinated bamboo (+$2) on the side. Lastly, the hubs wanted to eat lighter & healthier, so he opt'd for the teriyaki chicken rice bowl. Everyone loved their meal pick. Dare I say..I even think it ranks better than some of the ramen joints in the OC. Who knew Fresno was poppin' in the foodie dept? Lol A total RxFoodie recommend and I'd return if I'm ever in the area again!

They were quick to answer the phone when we called to check if they were open for the holiday, our food came out fast and piping hot, and the staff checked on us multiple times throughout the meal. Our water glasses were always refilled, which we really appreciated. Overall, a great experience with both delicious food and attentive service. Only got a photo of the tonkatsu below! The first time I tried the tonkotsu ramen as takeout and gave it 2 stars. The noodles were soggy from the start and the broth just didn't hit the depth of flavor I was expecting. It felt like something was missing. This time, I dined in and ordered both the spicy miso ramen and tonkotsu ramen, plus a side of chicken karaage. Eating onsite made a difference right away, the noodles held up and the overall taste of the ramen was significantly better. The spicy miso ramen was good, but I was honestly hoping for a stronger miso punch and a bit more heat. It leaned a little milder than expected, though still enjoyable. The tonkotsu this time was better balanced than my first visit. The chicken karaage was good as well. Crispy, light batter, juicy inside really solid fried chicken. I personally would've liked a squeeze of lemon and maybe some Japanese mayo on the side to elevate it even more, but that's just preference. Overall, I feel like this place redeemed itself on a second visit, especially dining in. I'll need to come back to try more of their specialty ramens.

I was immediate greeted by the two Sushi chefs behind the counter as I walked in. Not long after, the host greeted me and handed me a menu for me to select my order to go. So instead I opted for their seaweed salad that came with a number of protein including tuna, edamame, shrimp, avocado, and masago. It was $19, so it wasn't necessarily inexpensive, however I figured a poke bowl with a couple proteins would run me right about there as well. The sushi chef got right away to work preparing my meal and I was in and out within 5 minutes. When I got home, I opened up my box and was a little underwhelmed with the presentation. So while the presentation was not what I was expecting, I was pleasantly surprised that I really enjoyed the flavors and textures. I will definitely order this again.

Unfortunately, there have been times where my family and I have gone but it's so busy and we never got refills for waters. Ambiance: Great, cozy, warm atmosphere. They have large flat screen tvs that usually play compilation videos on them. I wish they synced the tvs up to play kdramas or kpop on them instead. Every time I've gone, the tvs are usually turned off or playing funny/meme compilations from YouTube. I think many of their customers would enjoy a Korean show while eating Korean food! Maybe even play some mukbangs, as many young people nowadays enjoy watching those! My family and I are regulars, and we will always be back to support our favorite local Korean restaurant!

The food came neatly packaged with everything in separate containers which I really appreciated. Let me start with the wonton appetizer. WOW! The flavor of those wontons are what dreams are made of. I'll go back just to get more of those for sure. As for the noodles, I chose the beef noodle soup with the wide noodles and it was also reallllllly good! The broth was the best part actually. The beef was tender, but could have been more flavorful. The noodles were chewy and good. My husband got the Q noodle soup and honestly it wasn't much different from the regular beef noodle soup. Overall, a very decently priced meal bursting with incredible flavor. Would definitely recommend.

We were literally sweating as we were eating. The table ordered a variety of noodle soups and also a lo mein style noodle. All of it was decent-- not super rich but also not lacking flavor. I was disappointed at how rough the chunks of beef were, especially since the beef in noodle soup is supposed to be tendonous and fall apart. As for the service, all the employees were very nice. You can tell this is a family owned and operated restaurant. Unfortunately, we did have to remind our waiter for water and utensils. I would come back and take out, or dine in on a cooler day.

One word of advice: if you're planning to join the waitlist, I recommend calling ahead for a more accurate wait time. The website initially showed no one ahead of us, but after joining the waitlist it indicated several parties were waiting. When we arrived, we were told the wait would be about 45 minutes, which wasn't ideal with a couple of hungry kids. Thankfully, we were seated within about 10 minutes. Our server, Patrick, was fantastic! He provided excellent customer service, took the time to explain the sushi rolls, helped us navigate the kids' menu, and was attentive throughout our meal. Patrick, thank you for helping make my mom's birthday dinner so memorable. Khasey was our chef, and the food was absolutely delicious. He made sure we had every sauce we asked for. The teppanyaki experience for the children was engaging and fun. To top it off, the staff brought out a cute birthday dessert and sang a birthday tune for my mom, which made the celebration even more special. The location is another huge plus. It's situated in a great area near Fresno State with plenty to do before or after dinner, including ice cream shops, boba spots, VR gaming, and movie theaters. Overall, we had a great experience and can't wait to come back!
