I can't praise Dr. Hobby enough. He's been with us since the beginning! I had originally picked…read moreanother doctor in the practice (just going off of who a couple other parents told me they liked), but saw Dr. Hobby once and ended up sticking with him even after the one I'd originally requested came back from extended time off. I just liked him so much and knew he was a good fit for us. He's is just very straight forward, all the while having great bedside manner. He's knowledgeable, bright, etc ... all of those good things you'd expect from a doctor... all the while making you as the parent feel that he regards you as competent and important, too. I've never felt judged by Dr. Hobby. He doesn't rush, either. He will take his time and answer all your questions. I'm also really happy with the office in general! They've been nothing but polite and efficient! And any other doctor I've seen here when an emergency came up, has been wonderful and knowledgeable as well.

I was baffled by what a terrible experience I had with my 11 month old's very first appointment and…read moretrying to switch our pediatrician. They were not willing to hear, help or be bothered at all with our experience. Clearly not interested in making it right. The lack of basic professionalism and real care is ridiculous. Every person I have spoken to is clearly only there because they have to be, not because they enjoy what they do. They will treat you and your child like a task, not like people. My son was failed at the appointment that was supposed to prepare us for him turning a year old. I do not feel prepared at all. We didn't talk about milestones, development, or what to expect. They didn't get to know him at all. Just looked at his numbers for weight and height and highlighted that he was 'unhealthy' because I was allowing him to 'eat too much'. It has not been a personable experience by any means so if you want your child to be cared for as a person and not just a box to check, don't bring them here!

Had my baby's follow-up appointment today, 6/13. The doctor saw my baby 6/11 for the initial…read moreappointment. Upon walking into the office today, the front desk asked us to sign in, and the first words she utters are "you're late". Yes, our appointment was scheduled for 11:15am. Yes, we are checking in at just after 11:30am. But if my baby is showing signs of hunger at 10:58am, you better believe I will feed my child rather than deal with Armageddon to arrive on time. Next, she refers to my child as a boy when that's incorrect, then even says "I don't know how to say this baby's name" while on the phone with billing. What could've been done is to put yourself on a moments hold and ask me "I'm sorry, but how do you pronounce your baby's name?" I don't know, but that's just customer service training, and an individual with common courtesy, would maybe do. When we're finally taken to the back, the staff and doctor are telling me to sit down to help with my postpartum swelling, telling us how baby is doing great, and even offer the nursing room towards the end of our appointment when signs of hunger are apparent. A completely different experience from our arrival. But that's not to say it was the same during our initial visit. During our initial visit, the front staff were understanding and joked with us that it's expected, especially with new parents, to run behind schedule, so we shouldn't feel stressed. Someone working the front desk today obviously missed the memo. It was a completely night and day experience.

Our sons have only been patients for about a year. The well visits were ok but we will be finding…read moreanother pediatrician. After both children being in a roll over accident with a semi truck we were told Kids First does not do follow ups after car wrecks and if we have any concerns to take them back to the ER. Um, the ER is who said to do a follow up with you. Do your research there are better doctors for your kids around here.
