I found 4 from an author I really enjoy for 3.00 each. I'll read them and pay them forward to someone else. This was a great was to spend the afternoon. It's fun to be among other book enthusiasts. We all had a great time looking and finding little treasures for our summer reading.

It's a popular spot for community meetings, concerts and musical performances. There's always something happening especially for the kiddos. Overall, I had a pleasant experience. The ladies there were…read moreknowledgeable and helpful, and I always enjoyed the childhood memories that the smell of the library brought back for me. But shame on me: in recent years, I've contributed to the slow unraveling of American society by shunning the small but community-centric offerings of the local public library. I want to blame TV and the internet, Amazon and TikTok, but that's a childish dodge, obvious and irresponsible, like blaming the rain for ruining my car's interior, instead of myself, for not putting up my windows. Libraries are - have always been - more than simple book repositories. They're classrooms; study halls; venues for public meetings; and "third places", where people can relax and interact with folks other than those they know from home and at work. Like many Americans, I've found technologies and places to stand in for the library. Much of the research and reading I do, I do online; and when I want the bustle of strangers, I sit in coffee shops. [half-hour long pause] I was going to add something here about the charming old-fashioned American tradition of submitting ballots at a library or other public venue, and I was going to ruefully assert that COVID-19 is to blame for my having stopped doing so. But COVID-19 isn't the threat it used to be, and the ugly truth is that I'm afraid to go into crowds of gun-totin', antisocial, right-wing extremist MAGA nutjobs whose attention is focused on politics, and who would rather see their fellow citizens shot dead than to see their candidates lose fair elections. I miss the library, but I'm not willing to die for it.

It sits in the middle of the campus and you walk across a bridge to access the front desk area. There are lots of places to go to study in quiet and privacy. When I was there, a class was actually being held in the library. Alliant International University is interesting because it prepares students for professional careers of service and leadership in psychology, education, business, law and forensics. Alliant has lots of international students and the campus is very multi-cultural & diverse. Approximately 1,200 graduate students and 150 undergraduate students are enrolled here on the 120-acres of rolling, tree-bedecked Scripps Ranch campus. The Walter Library, which was recently remodeled, is also "home to the San Diego circulating and reference collection of over 60,000 titles and part of both the Alliant library system and of the Link+ library network, through which students have access to over thirty million volumes," according to the Alliant University website. 5 YELP STARS for Alliant University's Walter Library.

There are a few different meeting rooms for different activities, library hosts many events for kids and teens. I'm a frequent visitor there for baby, toddler story times and related actives. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Morgan is great program coordinator for kids, he is very engaging. If the library doesn't have the book you need you can request it from the online catalog and pick it up in a few days, their book collection is very extensive.

I absolutely love the staff here; they're always super friendly and welcoming. I even made a library card, which was such an easy and exciting bonus! The library itself is surprisingly spacious, with tons of books and a really inviting vibe. They have computers you can use, plenty of areas to walk around, and even a nice selection of Colleen Hoover books (some of my favorites!). Parking is also really convenient, the lot is pretty wide, and there's usually plenty of space during the week. You can also find street parking if you prefer. If you're looking for a cozy, clean, and free place to grab a book or get some work done, I definitely recommend stopping by. Just sign up, and you're good to go!

It's a community library that's small in size, but large in heart…read more The reason why I don't read more is because there is an ocean of novels and I fear picking the wrong story and end up wasting hours of my life. But at the College Rolando public library the librarians are my guide to a wonderful adventure, thought provoking tales, or inspiring memoirs. They are the secret sauce to the whole operation. I come in with a blank stare and they subtly guide me to an unforgettable journey.
