They have a maze for kids. Hayride and wagons to Cary. It's a small farm. Very kid oriented. Only sell pumpkins here.

Review specifically for dining, not cafe…read more Spectacular evening with friends at the Farm Table! From start to finish, everything was delightful! Purchasing the suggested pairings (ahead of time) added to the overall experience. We also had wines that were brought on preference and the paired wines won out every time as they perfectly complemented the prepared courses. Our two servers were friendly and attentive, explaining every course and refilling our wines without asking. Present, yet out of the way. The atmosphere is very cozy in the back of the cafe at Talula's Table - the original table as opposed to the smaller kitchen table added a few years back. Reservations still take a year (though it's easier to snag a cancelation or weekday as they recently added online reservations in April 2026). However, it was well worth the wait (and I'm not sure why I waited so long to try it)! We left stuffed between the hors d'oevres, eight courses, bread, surprise course, and plenty of wine to wash everything down. We experienced the Spring 2026 menu and look forward to dining again in another season.

My friend and I had fun touring not only the inside, but several shops that had set up outside the day we came. Plenty of fresh produce, homemade goods, flowers, and fun things to look at. I wish the air control was a little better, coming on such a hot day! We preferred to be outside as it was very stuffy inside. Still a very fun spot to walk around, and a much bigger farmers market than I am used to. We ended up, leaving with several items, and were very happy with our purchases!

If you only visit Lancaster for a few days this is one of the places you have to go. My favorite stands: 1) S. Clyde Weaver has insane specialty sandwiches and is one of my favorite delis. I typically get a large roast beef sandwich with mayo, lettuce, tomato, and the sweet bell peppers. The peppers are my favorite and I always ask for as many as they are legally allowed to give me. Caution: the large subs are ginormous so I usually eat half then save the rest for later. The bread holds up pretty well and doesn't get super soggy, but if you plan to eat it the next day, I would forgo the tomato which can get a bit slippery. 2) Kom Essa features the best breakfast sandwich around. It's greasy, but if that's something you don't mind, this is a must try. 2) Mean Cup is for anything coffee/caffeine related. This might be the best coffee in Lancaster. I practically give all my money to their storefront shop on Harrisburg Pike. 3) Shady Maple is the perfect stop for sweet treats: donuts, whoopie pies, etc. They used to have the best maple bacon long johns (hear me out) but I haven't seen them there for a while. 4) The Candy Stand is nostalgia central for me. Pretty much any type of candy you can think of, you can find there. This was a staple for me when I was younger. 5) Long's Horseradish features the best horseradish you can buy in a gagillion different flavors and variations.

We started with a few drinks, mine was run of the mill but she had the expression Martini and it was really good! Our waiter was extremely enthusiastic about the specials and he sold them to me hook, line , and sinker. I started with the Burnt Ends and my lady ordered her favorite, the Wedge salad. Her salad was a nice crisp portion of iceberg lettuce and the Blue Cheese dressing was home made and you could tell. It was a good start to the meal. The Burnt ends were very tasty and rich so the pickled onion was a great topping for them since the acid complimented the rich flavor. For our main dishes, I ordered the special Beef Wellington. I have seen this on Gordon Ramsey shows but I never had it. It was good, not great. The bottom had dough that was undercooked and raw. The truffle sauce it came with was earthy and rich. The steak was cooked medium but it was a little less tender than I had hoped. As I was eating it I thought that I'm not sure what cut of Beef they use for Wellington, but overall, it was pretty good. It came with garlic mashed potatoes and they had great flavor, but a little too much salt for me. Glori got the petit filet and shrimp Marsala and she really enjoyed it. The shrimp were huge and cooked perfectly. We got desert to go so the photos didn't make the review but the Cheesecake and the mud pie were an excellent ending to a really nice nice out. I would definitely go back and I enjoyed our meal.

We could tell it was popular! I ended up trying a Whoopie pie, as I am from out of town, and have not tried them before. This location is certainly gargantuan size for dinning hall, buffet counters and queuing for payment and waiting for table. The line moves moderately for payment and waiting for a table. There are some benches available for customers who are mobility impaired unable to stand for long times. Senior citizen and children discounts are available. My party experienced authentic Pennsylvania Dutch cooking. It was an experience with an open-mind without judgment. Dinner prices for one adult range $23.99 to $33.99 depending on the time of day, meal, and day of the week. Tax and a 12% service fee are additional, but beverages and desserts are included. Shady Maple Smorgasbord practice penny rounding when meal payment is cash since the initiated and followed by executive directive from No. 47 of the discontinuation for the U.S. penny (utterly despondent). I did obtain my sales receipt which indicate the penny rounding implemented. The sales receipt is attached to a blue slip which upon meal completion customers are to turn over signaling table clean-up. Shady Maple Smorgasbord offers a 20% discount coupon for their nearby gift shop during meal payment. This 20% discount coupon, my party gladly utilized which is a very good marketing promotion to lure customers. Restroom facilities are large with a restroom lounge. The facilities' sink is very modern as it is an "all-in-one" sink golden faucet mechanism: L (soap), middle (water), R (hand dryer). Ergo, no excess soap is dripped on the sink counter for clean-up and no water will be spilled or splattered on the floor. I have never seen this modern sink faucet. I think it is a modern convenience innovation for progress with technology always improving. Shady Maple Smorgasbord's air conditioning is rather weak during our pre-Independence Day 2026 visit as I felt warm during the Northeast heat wave oppressive humidity continuous week. The food quality is good and the selection is gargantuan. I wished there were more meat offerings as Ribeye which contains the most flavorful cut of beef. Hanger steak is my default favorite. I also wished for more seafood offerings as shrimp, salmon, Tilapia or striped bass fishes. The vegetables were a good selection. I like the baby carrots which were boiled cooked soft and fresh. The red onions were extremely strong. I wished for Caesar salad lettuce as my default vegetable, but iceberg lettuce was quietly yet noticeably substituted which did not agreed with my stomach. I despise iceberg lettuce. I did not see any chicken. There were abundant baked potato of red skin and home fries. I highly prefer potato au gratin, but to no avail. I have a predilection for chocolate lava cake and soufflé as desserts, but again, to no avail. I was hoping for ice cream as dessert, but to no avail either. Nota Bene: Shady Maple Smorgasbord is family oriented style, ergo do not expect any alcohol. Lemonade, root beer, cola, soda, ice tea, coffee, hot tea, cold water and hot water are abundantly available as beverages. Disappointedly there is no ginger ale soda available as a beverage option which would greatly reduce my anxiety and motion sickness of being in a car for four continuous hours on the road driving. Shady Maple Smorgasbord also has a gargantuan gift shop adjacent on the grounds. This gift shop is old school traditional where tourists and non-Pennsylvanians (like myself) can purchase key chains, post cards, magnets, and T-shirts. Parking is abundantly available and free. Upon promptly exiting our car the air had a high functioning stench of horse manure to high heaven! The noisome horse manure odor emanating from nearby unseen horse stables made it difficult for my party to enjoy the grounds, amid the dangerous excessive heat wave of Independence Day 2026 holiday weekend. We were among the Amish in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

We came for breakfast and were seated quickly and had a very attentive and helpful server. Thank goodness we had already decided on having breakfast because the menu was impressively extensive! The portions are larger than we expected for the prices and solid belly fillers. Both of our meals came with Home Fries but they are closer to hash browns (which was our preference).
