Jack really helped me out to clean up my Mac. I got some malware and wasn't able to get it off in-spite of numerous google searches and having a moderate level of IT experience. I had several fake flash programs removed and a browser redirect which didn't show up under the extensions of the Mac. Needless to say, was very happy my Mac computer is now clean and runs like now. They have always made sure a tech was available to us in a reasonable time frame to answer urgent trouble shooting issues and remote in. They came to my house after a panic call from me on a Friday afternoon near the end of the day, picked up my laptop, took it away, fixed it and had it back to me the next day! Now that is superior service. Later when a motherboard went out on me, they handled everything for me and got me a brand new one from Dell for free, even though the computer was about 2 years old. First of all, we brought my computer here because of the great reviews, office seemed professional and it seemed trustworthy. When my husband brought it in he told the guy "it might be the power source because everything else is new" and the guy just shrugged it off like "yeah we'll be the judge of that". Well, we brought our computer on a Wednesday and were suppose to get a diag with in a day or two. Well, truth be told, it took till next Tuesday for it to be ready. In the meantime we were told the diag fee was only $50. Seems reasonable for trying to find out what's wrong with a "complex machine" (as the receptionist called it). But after two days the guy calls and tells my husband they can't figure it out and if we wanted to let them keep searching. Um... I'm pretty sure that's why we brought it and are paying a fee for.... but whatever... of course we want to get to the bottom of it! So they continued working on it. When they finally let us know it was ready the receptionist gave us a bill of 100. Wait. As far as I know the fee was 50? So I questioned it and the lady started getting short so I started getting short back. She finally called the guy who worked on the computer and explained that the call in the middle of the week meant that they were going to charge us more but we were never aware of it, I just thought it was a courtesy call letting us know it's taking a lot longer than it was suppose to. The guy then tells me that "the power source MIGHT be the issue". Um, excuse me? I'm paying $100 for not having my computer for a whole week and the issue not being resolved. My husband had the same guess and he didnt charge me! We argued a bit back and forth and the guy was like so... are we okay I'm the price? I asked "do I have a choice" and I knew by his face it was a no. Then he asks a third person "so what do you think?" The lady asks in response "Well, did you fix the problem" and his response was "no." And it got awkward so she just sat back down and said "I don't know then". All in all, we left, payed $100 for something they couldn't figure out. Once we got home they called us and said "after much thought we are refunding you $50 and we're sorry for all the misunderstanding " Fine, I guess. But after buying a new power supply that was $120, turns out the problem isn't fixed. My computer still goes into a white screen. Oh well. His "Its more than I guess, I'm like 99% sure it's that" was wrong. Lastyly, the receptionist seemed really short and rude, while the guy who worked in the computer kept his manner and not let his temper show (even though my temper came out). read more

I wanted to share the excellent job that Steve, Andy and Harry at Rancho Computer Network has done with my computer. I had the data transferred over from my old PC and they were able to transfer everything without any problems. The service was done quickly so I had very little time without my computer. I was able to find all my files without any difficulty. I later downloaded a virus on that same computer, which was completely my fault and not the smartest move. I recently got my lap top back from Rancho computer networks and I just had to write a review about their level of professionalism. They were very thorough when it came to updating me with the progress they were making on the repair. Whether I was via email or by phone. They took the time to suggest what measures I need to take to optimize my lap top, which I found very helpful. Thy even provided me with an external drive which at first I didn't think I needed, but upon further analysis, I found to be most convenient for it even provided a cloud based saving option. Even though my lap top was there for a while they were certain to charge me for only the hours they invested in the repair. So if they were transferring my data to an external hard drive, I wasn't charged for unnecessary hours of work. These guys are very trustworthy and I would seek their expertise for any future computer repairs. They truly do put a personal touch back into personal computer repairs. I'm not sure why there are ALL 5 Star reviews....looks suspicious. I'm not sure about this place. We just took our laptop in to figure out why it doesn't start and the guy said it was coffee spilt on the system. No one in the house spilt coffee. And when we went to go pick it up Sean was going to keep our computer cause it was "junk" and still have us pay the $100 diagnostic fee. I get the fee cause no one looks at it for free but the whole coffee thing doesn't add up and to assume we didn't want our stuff backs looks suspicious. We are going to get a second opinion because I don't know what to think about this place. Anybody else have this problem? Update: They have responded to this review and have taking care of us. I am currently working on a family genealogy book and nearing the final stages was really anxious to get started last Friday morning. I turned on my computer first thing and it kept shutting itself off. I was sure it couldn't be because it was overheating as the vents are always clean. I use a can of electronic duster almost weekly...thanks to past lessons learned! So for pretty much the rest of the day I tried everything, plugging, unplugging, recleaning, deleting useless files, you name it and all the while getting more and more frustrated...we all know that "what's wrong with my computer trauma", it's almost worse than losing your purse! By the afternoon, I was beyond frustrated and I'd had enough so started calling computer repair shops in my area...no one was picking up even though it was still during business hours, but it was Friday afternoon too. After five calls to no avail, I received a call back from Bridget at Rancho Computer! She was super nice and very professional as I told her what was happening, even though it was Friday afternoon she did her best and squeezed me in to come by at least for a computer diagnosis. I was there just about five minutes, when Steve Wagstaff came out and took my computer to see if he could find the problem. About a minute later he came back and told me the reason it was shutting down is because my computer was dirty...I was mortified....."BUT BUT, I CLEAN IT ONCE A WEEK" after I explained my cleaning skills, apparently there's not only a vent over the fan...but there's also exhaust vents....WHO KNEW?? Apparently not I....yikes!! Steve went above and beyond, he actually went back, cleaned it right then and there and refused to charge me. We all know what it's like on a Friday afternoon and you're trying to get the last of your work done, the fact that he took the time, the fact that Bridget took the time to call me back speaks volumes about Rancho Computer!
