It was small talk... no 'preparation'. He had not deposed witnesses, did not prepare a defense of any kind, and did not prepare us for three days of trial. In the courtroom he did not defend (yes, he objected to a couple things) but did not even attempt to get the jury to see doubt in the case. EVERYTHING we needed was in front of us. He was unfamiliar with the police report or anything else provided to us. Truly, when all is said and done, we feel like some sort of deal was made, my husband was traded off for something else. He allowed the prosecutor to offer up testimony to the jury without objecting. He didn't read or study the material. We paid him for defend us (I say us because it is our life that was destroyed) and now my husband has been convicted of a lie. John didn't address the the smoke and mirrors used or the deception of the prosecutor. NOT A SAFE CHOICE IF IT IS A SERIOUS ALLEGATION!
