So I won't lie I am a creature of habit and tend to go to Dunkin or other big name brands but nothing compares to that family run donut shop. The workers here are always nice and treat you like regulars even if you don't come that often. You can tell a lot of the clientele are return customers. I go here every time I'm having a late night donut/ice cream craving. Before finding this place recently, I used to think there wasn't any place nearby I could satisfy my cravings at lol. The donuts are always fresh and delicious, and their Thrifty Ice Cream always hits! We have been going to this place for almost 15 years now for our ham and cheese croissant. Their cold cut sandwiches are really yummy too if you are in the area and looking for a quick lunch. The owners are very friendly and courteous. Since we've moved farther from Norwalk, we still drive once a week for ham and cheese. Number one I thought this is associated or in conjunction with the Randy's out in Downey cause I know they have a chain somewhere somehow but no they don't. The service here is horrible. They don't answer the phone. There's no way to order and even though the yelp says call to make an order if you can't do that as far as the ambience goes, I have not been that far into the store but looking at the pictures, I can't say very much. I would have to go in the store. The food probably is good but again I cannot get inside because again I don't know if it's open it says it's open, but nobody answers. Please answer your phone or disconnect it. It does deter customers from even bothering. I hope to do business in the future but for now I'm gonna have to say toodle loo. read more

Randy Donut is owned by a nice Chinese man. I usually order the breakfast sandwhich here, which comes with egg cheese bacon on a croissant roll. The ice cream here looks good too and is something I want to try next time haha. Inside is a little tight even for a donut shop but still I highly recommend. Another great donut find! Can't believe it took me years to finally try this local donut shop. Tbh I wasn't really expecting much coz I went during lunch time and they still had a lot of donuts. I took that as a sign that they didn't sell much today. Well, I was mistaken. This place is really good! It's nothing compared to the last one I tried. As usual, I got the glazed and sugar bars... I even took a chance on the raspberry filled one (my first time ever). Let's just say that I'm glad my expectations were low coz I was shocked. All three were fluffy, pillowy, and fresh. The raspberry, while quite sweet for my liking, had a nice tart contrast which I liked. Sadly they didn't have blueberry cake donuts so this was a bit disappointing; however, I wouldn't let this stop me from giving them a high rating. Prices were okay (albeit a slightly higher than others) -- $1.25 for regular and cake donuts, and $1.50 for the filled ones. I have literally been going to this donut shop since I was young and I always find myself coming back because their croissants are soooo good! They're always so fluffy and flaky. I always get it with some ice cream in the summer and hot chocolate in the winter. (But if you're looking for some good hot chocolate I wouldn't recommend coming here because it tastes like the packet hot chocolates where you just add water. I only use it to dip my croissant and after that I just trash it.) Aside from that everything else that I've had is delicious. If you come not knowing what to get I'd recommend the butter croissants, ham and cheese croissants, and basically any donut cause they're all delicious. read more

It is a low price and a decent amount of ice cream which I think is incredible because Thrifty is one of my favorite brands of ice cream. I was doing some work around this neck of the woods and was craving donuts! And bingo! I found this very inexpensive and delicious donuts. Store sign is DONUTS and its 24hrs! I bought about 15dozen donut holes so far and they were one of the most delicious donut holes. However you dont exactly get the amount you order. The first time I was there, i ordered about 6 dozen donuts and it didn't seem like I got 72pcs. Being the crazy me that I am...i counted! And behold the count was 57pcs. Its only $1/dz so I'm jot going to cry about it. I'm sure it's difficult to count that many in the mornings anyways. The following week I went in and bought 4 doz and she gave me about 8pcs more. So I guess it all evens out in the end. But I'd rather get a closer count to what I'm paying for at the time of the visit. I bought more later and didnt count them since it was for someone else. But it definitely looked less than ordered...o wells. So I think buying less donut holes is better to ensure you get what you pay for. read more

Very odd visit here ; although ended up on the positive... Initially found this place on my phone Maps; was very late & not much open or around. This place is not in any way shape or form affiliated with the flagship 'Randy's Donuts,' which some searches, pictures, etc... seem to suggest. This place is literally a small family-owned shop in a clandestine corner strip mall. Not sure what's up with that.... BUT... Wordplay aside. The customer service was extremely impressive and friendly. Prices were very reasonable; they accept cash or card as well. Also, considering we went here near the later hours of the evening; I had no problems with the freshness of the donuts whatsoever. They were soft , flavorful , and possibly just baked. The coffee selection is above-average; many flavors available hot or iced. Also; they serve a plethora of smoothies & other fresh-baked goodies; including some of the most scrumptious chocolate chip cookies you could ask for. Just don't go looking for a giant donut in the sky like in the movies! The only banner this place has is a blinking neon sign that hangs overhead saying "Donuts." read more

Ordered from this doughnut shop a couple of times and the experience wasn't the most pleasant on numerous occasions. The place is kinda run down and the staff here don't seem to be in the best mood, as in they always seem down and unhappy, never talkative. I don't expect much from the staff but they are just not the kindest here and it shows like they hate their jobs or something. Also wanted to point out that there was bees where the doughnuts are enclosed which i noticed behind the glass. Like not flies, freaking bees dead on the inside of the glass container. The doughnuts here are pretty cheap as well but they ain't no krispy kreme doughnut quality i'll tell you that. I always feel like i'm going to get sick from eating these doughnuts. There glaze is there only good one. I tried there sprinkled and frosted doughnuts, let me say that they were just very hard and not soft at all. Unless you like more firmer doughnuts, go ahead and get these. Like they taste okay yet I always feel nauseous after consuming them. They just aren't the best quality. However, their ice cream is absolutely phenomenal they always have big buckets of ice cream with multiple flavors filled to the brink of the gallon. So i have to give them that. I also tried their boba here one time. Never again will i do that, there boba was so stale and the topioca pearls were so hard and small, not your typical boba. I got the thai tea, the thai tea itself was really yummy however the boba pearls weren't. Anyway that is my review. Never getting doughnuts here again that's for sure though. read more
