I called this office on the recommendation of a family member who had had only positive experiences…read morewith them. I changed my insurance carrier and coverage to Allstate - specifically this office - after conversations with Christie Gasman. Christie was the catalyst driving my change to this specific office. She was professional, extremely helpful, enthusiastic in offering help and in my opinion, willing to go "the extra mile" to help. Here is the body of the email I sent thanking her: I can't express how much I appreciate your willingness to dig in and help with the insurance changes. I've been trying to institute. It would have been a miserable process without you and your help. I hope that the Allstate office has some idea of the caliber of employee they have in you. I found you to be generous with your time, personable, professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. You anticipate need, investigate options, and help without having been asked. I was a people manager for a lot of my career. It was in the ICU and Cardiology areas of hospitals rather than insurance, but I learned how to recognize employee excellence. I have been very happy that when I was referred to this agency- it was you who I received to work with. Thank you!

I posted a review about the lack of coverage knowledge and the exposure the agency created for me…read more The response from the Wiley agency eluded to "they can only work with the information they are given", suggesting that I did not explain my coverage issue with them. I have been in the insurance industry since 1983 as both a Loss Control Consultant and a property underwriter. I understand risk transfer and loss control very well. I also know what I don't know. The Wiley agency knew my coverage needs because I explained them very carefully, but it is easier to throw the former customer under the bus than admit they may have made a mistake. I explained very clearly the following: I have two cars in Texas with full coverage which my wife and I are primary drivers. My daughter is attending college in OK. I am on the title of the car she drives and she is the primary insured driver with Liability only coverage. I now have a company car. The scenario I asked to have covered was to give my car to my daughter to drive while she is at college in OK. All the cars are covered by Allstate through your agency. Your agency told me she would be covered in my car under the permissive use clause of the policy. (I'm a property underwriter, not auto or liability - refer to "I know what I don't know"). I thought I was covered. My daughter then had an accident in OK driving her soon to be husbands truck. I learned from the Allstate adjuster, the coverage follows the person, not the car. Allstate denied covering the damage to the pickup my daughter was driving when she had the accident because her car which she is listed as the primary driver has liability only coverage. OK, I get that. So I asked the adjuster about her using my car in OK full time under the permissive use clause. Permissive use is when your friend comes to town and you let them use your car with your permission. Having another primary driver is not permissive use, it's a new driver. You told me I had coverage when this clearly violates the terms of the insurance contract. My scenario of who owned the cars, who would be the primary drivers and where the cars were located and garaged was explained in detail to your agency. Your staff made a mistake. The made a mistake and REFUSE to admit they made a mistake. Rather, you continue to blame your client. I thought you were the personal lines insurance professional? Isn't it your job to make sure you know all the details? Look in the file, you have them. Funny thing is, your staff reached out to me after my 1 star Google review and asked what they could do to get me to recant or remove my review. Here's what you can do... be honest and accept responsibility. If your staff does not know what they are doing they should ask for help. At the end of the day, and insurance policy is a contract between the policy holder and the company. Had my daughter had an accident in the car in which I was listed as the primary driver, Allstate would have denied the claim under material misrepresentation and I would be stuck. Your agency is free and clear. I am sure your reply will be the same as the Google review, you can only do so much with the information you are given. You had all the details, your staff simply cannot handle and understand complex insurance placements. If you have a car and need to cover just you as a driver, your office is great at that. Beyond that.....
