Popped in for National Donut Day & was immediately greeted by both staff members who were at the counter.... There were three trays of free donut options in honor of the holiday. I ordered the cinnamon crumb which was moist, fluffy & full of flavor! Unfortunately, the lemon old fashioned donut was extremely disappointing. Though beautifully decorated, there was zero taste of lemon...even the icing drizzle left me kinda down. I initially stopped by to see if their security cameras had captured an accident, but after having no luck getting the footage, I couldn't resist trying a few donuts -- they just looked too tempting. I went with a regular glazed donut and a chocolate Crondy, and both were absolutely delicious the first time I had them. The glazed donut was fresh, light, and airy, while the Crondy had that perfect contrast of a crispy outer layer and a soft, fluffy inside. I felt a little guilty after finishing the whole Crondy, but it was totally worth it. I did come back a second time specifically for the Crondy, but unfortunately, it wasn't as fresh or tasty as before. Because of that inconsistency, I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5. read more

After my Christmas tree fiasco, I really needed to vent. Had a sweet tooth, felt like getting a donut from somewhere. That somewhere happened to be at this lovely Randy's Donuts. Past by it so many times and always wanted to try this place. So yesterday I did!:-) Glad I did. The minute I walked in, was greeted with a nice, sweet, friendly, charming, pleasant lady by the name of Daniella. She was organizing some stuff, stopped by to help me. Had a personable approach, with a beautiful smile. She was so WELCOMING, that made me want to buy the whole Donut shop. I only wanted 2 of my favorites. Round Glazed, & Coconut Glazed. You should have seen the sizes of both donuts. HUGE!!:-) I gobbled them down with one breath.Really needed that. With her, there was Clara, another sweet, lovely, charming lady. Both chatty, welcoming, and working hard. Taking out the trash, stocking more donuts, replenishing what needed to be replenished. Even though the case was filled with colorful, beautiful, fresh, delicious donuts. One bite, and I was in HEAVEN! Daniella, was so modest/humble that didn't tell me that she baked those donuts. Clara told me. Nice music playing at the shop. Quaint, medium size shop. A lot of to go orders, but the shop was empty. Better for me, had my donuts, and the place all to myself. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. They have variety menu options like most donut shops do. Fridge of cold sodas, water etc...also hot & cold beverages. Had a great experience at this lovely donut shop. Place was spotless clean, including the bathroom. Go to this shop and get your favorite donut, beverage, and see those 2 lovely, modest, hard working ladies. The setting and the layout of the place was comfortable. Im not sure if its just me who doesnt get the hype on these donuts or what.... Its not terrible but it doesnt live up to its phrase of being "world famous" in my opinion. The service was nice though and it was clean on the inside. Maybe the quality of the donuts wasnt as great towards the end of the night because we did show up about and hour or two prior to closing so im willing to come back for a second time but the donuts were alright. I felt like i could taste the greasy in the apple fritter and the matcha one didnt even taste like matcha. It still tasted pretty good but I would like it to taste like matcha if its called matcha. I was excited that they opened another Randy's Donuts in my area, but to be honest I was a little disappointed with the donuts here . None of the donuts tasted fresh. This place is pricey with all the hype they get, but the donuts fell flat for me. If you're craving Randy's Donuts I would recommend one of the other locations. Finally got around to trying Randy's in Noho. They had a full glass case with a wide variety of donuts. I got the original glazed, maple bacon long john, and chocolate long john filled with custard. Overall, their donuts are denser than my usual preference, and they're quite generous with the glazes. Out of the bunch, my favorite was the original glazed because it wasn't as cloyingly sweet as the others. The maple long john had some balance due to the bacon, but the chocolate with custard filling was too much for me. If you like your donuts super filled and on the sweeter side, you may love theirs. The parking lot is a bit small, but they have fast turnover since it's a takeout spot. Service was quick and attentive, so no complaints there. read more

What is an iconic donut shop without its iconic, oversized giant donut sign? Just another donut shop. We've all seen Randy's Donuts if you've ever driven near LAX or watched some movie set in Los Angeles. They're known around the world, but surprisingly I've never had them until they started opening up more locations around the southland. After trying their first new location in Burbank last year, I finally gave the NoHo one a try and I was very much whelmed by the experience. First off, the donuts are good. My go to are the yeast raised donuts...the bigger and fluffier the better. Size wise, their donuts are huge. They aren't sickly sweet like other places that spells crispy wrong. The flavors do skew on the sweeter side, but with a cup of coffee or if it's a cheat day, they're perfect. My go to flavor is their coffee raised donut...it tastes like an over creamed and sugared coffee...there's just enough coffee flavor for someone who doesn't like coffee. The other donuts are just as good and depending on what you're in the mood for. The downside is the cost...yes, the donuts are very large and tasty, but almost 4 bucks for a (specialty) donut seems steep, even in the times we live in. There's like 5 pink box donut places within a mile radius of this place that's cheaper and is as good, if not better. You're paying bespoke bakery prices for corner store donuts. That's not to say don't try this place...for being in one of the worst intersections in Los Angeles, it's surprisingly accessible. If you come at the right time, there's ample parking in their tiny, mini mall parking lot. Being that it's a new location, it's still got a fresh coat of paint on the place. When I walked in though, it all felt a bit sterile...it didn't give off classic donut shop vibes. Maybe it just needs to be lived in a little bit more and for that reason, give it a try. My husband is a donuts aficionado and he got excited when he saw they will open a location within walking distance, circling around like a vulture for them to open! We missed the opening day and a few weeks after, we were busy and left town but recently we managed to stop by. Small, clean location with a few tables inside. Nice lady working here, great to chat with. The donuts aren't made on site, they bring them from their Burbank location. Nice selection and they are plenty fresh! We settled for 2 crondy-s, their cronuts, big and delicious, a fritter (my husband has to try one at every shop), which he enjoyed, a strawberry jelly filled one with sugar on top, lots of filling and finally a nice buttermilk bar. Delicious donuts, on the bigger side, they don't skip on anything. Reasonable prices, great flavors. Love their boxes. Great to see a local businesses expand and open nearby. Tiny, corner location at Vineland & Lankershim & Camarillo... Too bad it's not a drive thru with the limited parking around here! Came for Grand Opening Day, 3/27/24, and it wasn't crowded at all but definitely some snafus for other customers regarding their coffee orders. I'm trying the Butter Crumb Latte, hot, $5.50 for a 16 oz. It's pretty sweet, but tasty. Only whole milk available (no skim) and plant-based milks are $0.80 extra. I received my free glazed donut for opening day and additionally purchased an old-fashioned. Good donuts. I like how the donuts are all clearly labeled in the case. This location only has seating for 8: two tables and one window table top. The windows don't seem to have any sun glare protective film- and it was bright with glare in the early morning, 8:15am and I could already feel the heat. I can imagine that it'll be very, very hot in here in the summertime unless they do something with awnings or film over the glass. They did a great remodel of the old H. Salt Fish and Chips restaurant in Noho. The donuts were fine and fresh. For a pretty long line for a donut shop, it moved very quickly. Not a ton of seating inside the space. I think they have room for some outdoor seating. Oh, I wonder if they cook donuts throughout the day. I would love to know if they have warm donuts. read more

I placed an online order for delivery on February 14, which included two dozen donuts and a carafe of coffee. They delivered the donuts but not the coffee. I called them, and they did not seem to care. I asked for a refund (twice) the same day and was told by a manager that I would receive the credit. Very good donuts here, but the coffee is just average. The butter crumb donut is a standout, no wonder it's their number one seller. Many other donut choices, too, but not a lot of the traditional ones. They tend to focus on more unusual toppings and flavors. Parking is very limited, could be a challenge. Good service. read more

I got some the specialty donuts and just their regular cake and yeast donuts. The cake donuts were dense and pretty much went stale the next day. I am used to getting at least a few days on these types of donuts. So it makes me think that the donuts were already on their last leg when they were sold to me. I was hoping that the yeasted donuts would be better but nope they were not. The yeasted donuts were under proofed as the donut was not very fluffy at all. And honestly the flavors were not that good as well. I honestly liked the yeasted donuts from Winchell's better. Their specialty donuts was their play on a cronut I think. I usually go to the one in Burbank because it's closer to me but since I was in North Hollywood, I stopped by this location. The parking situation isn't the best so you might have trouble finding parking later in the day but since I came in the early morning it wasn't an issue. They were not busy when I arrived and was able to place my order right away. It didn't take long for the drink to be ready and my wife loved her drink. Donuts were excessively sweet as well as the lemonade I ordered - brought it home and had to add at least 3-4 cups of water to make it drinkable for me (so at least I got a good amount of drink for my money?) Service was good and friendly. I'd had donuts from Randy's before and enjoyed them so I'm not sure if there are some quality control issues with batching but the maple and maple-based ones were incredibly and overly sweet. Ive Been wanting to try randys for forever now. It just moved into my neighborhood and wow, incredibly overrated. I got the "premium" $4 red velvet donut. What a let down. Firstly, $4 (double the price of my favorite donut spot right down the street), secondly, what a weird spongey consistency for a cake donut. It should never be this hard to split a donut in half . (Im sure someone is gonna ask why i didnt just get a regular frosted, or whatever their staple is) but i had to go for the top spot. For 25 yrs my schools been next to a winch elks and now Dunkin' close. I wanted to bring the teachers some Randy's to try and a thank you as I just came back after a year on cancer leave. But to get two dozen or three would be 65 to 90 plus dollars. Even if I cut them in half. Guess not. One donut is fair prize for the size. . Negative. A medium (grande in Starbucks comparison) late with almond milk and foam (which all lates Normally have ) came out to almost $9. I get venti almond and oak drinks at Starbucks for 6-7 for double the size. The app was glitching to pre order. But it's new. They are working on it What shouldn't happen is they were out of quite a few doughnuts. You can see the Blueberry and raspberry and another. When I looked online an hour before coming they were out of those. My friend likes blueberry things. Kinda poor planning. It was 11 am.
