Once you get a craving for Randy's donuts, you have to see that through! My Daughter is home for Easter break and I wanted to get something special for her and use some of my Randy's credits that I had. I was super excited that the app offers delivery - but apparently not my address since (I'm guessing) I live just outside of 3 miles from two different Randy's?! So I went with Grubhub this time. Because like I said, once you have the craving for Randy's, you need to see that through. My daughter wanted the Nutella raised, and I also got her the fruity pebbles raised. Chocolate milk will be a fun surprise to go along with those donuts. I preferred something savory and went with jalapeño ham and cheese croissant, which was just the right size and heat. But I was also intensely curious to try the glazed Crondy - so I got one! All the donuts are beautiful, huge and delicious! They hit the spot! So in the end, I didn't get to use the rewards I had earned or earn any new ones, but I still got donuts! I will point out that I've never had any issues ordering with their website that is always super easy and reliable. I hope that whatever is up with the app can be fixed or updated (I didn't even tell you about trying to order ahead yesterday and just pick up). But it says something that we kept trying. I can't decide if the taste and texture of these donuts have dramatically changed over the years...or have my preferences become more refined? Absent an answer to that question, I will admit donuts in the morning with a cup if my Peet's Coffee is usually a luxury to which I look forward. I knew I would be dropping my bestie at LAX so it wasn't out of the way to stop at Randy's. Like any self respecting lazy shopper, I ordered online the night before. None of the buttermilk/old fashioned options were available for online ordering but (surprise!) all of the buttermilk/old fashioned varieties were abundant in the glass case this morning. What's up with that? I was in the shop promptly at 929am for my confirmed pick-up at 930am. There was a line. Service wasn't speedy, and the chatter at the front of the line wasn't the right optics when you want to grab and go (especially knowing my order was ready). A five minute wait wasn't horrible, nor will it ruin my day. I grabbed the bright orange box that was handed to me and went on my way. At home I poured a fresh cup of piping hot Peet's Coffee, opened the box, snapped a shot and grabbed my most favorite donut of all. The plain. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I judge all donuts by the plain type. If the plain isn't great, no amount of glaze, icing, filling, or fancy toppings will make a donut great. After the first bite, I did not get any sense that this little guy was made fresh early this morning. It didn't taste bad, it just didn't have that fresh pillowy texture I love plain donuts to have. I dunno. Maybe it's me. Maybe donuts are no longer a favorite. Maybe I've had the best and nothing will ever compare. Maybe aliens are among us. Maybe Moon Pies will come back. Parking is terrible, I was determined to get a donut, so I waited for a space. The decor was cute, great for a photo op. The selection of donuts were limited. I broke down and wanted a doughnut. When I walked in, I saw the SpongeBob special Krabby patty doughnut. All I could say is it was delicious, beautiful and a good value ! I really enjoyed the green coconut lettuce the little nugget that came with and the patty. It was really tasty. I hope you bring it back or have a similar promotion. The doughnuts are not made at that location but instead an offsite location I believe in downtown. This is the El Segundo outpost of the famous Randy's Donuts. It's in a nondescript office complex and kind of easy to miss(no big spotter donut). The donuts were not as good as what I like at Krispy Kreme and Sidecar but I bump to 4 stars for excellent service with good attitude. read more

While this shop has a smaller footprint than the one in Inglewood (with the huge donut sculpture out front), they offer a wide selection of donuts! If you get there later in the day, there's a chance that some varieties will be sold out. The service is consistently friendly and prompt, and there's both indoor and outdoor seating available. I enjoy their donuts (I usually get the chocolate raised), and I also like their cinnamon roll with its pillowy texture. The iconic Randy's Donuts is something I have always wanted to try. On a trip to aek Segundo today, I saw a new location tucked next to a Shake Shack and decided to try it. They have multiple flavors covered in churros, M&M's, you name it, it's here. I bought a couple and knew what I was getting. That oily old school donut. Solid if that is what you are looking for. Probably one of my favorite donut spots ever. The dough is better for all of their raised donuts and their chocolate is better for all of their chocolate dipped donuts. My favorite is their custard filled long john. I enjoy all of their raised donuts. Their donuts are affordable and quality so you can't go wrong no matter what your preference. Randy's used to be our go-to place in El Segundo to get our donuts, we shunned other donuts because of the past quality of Randy's. We were shocked on a recent visit, to find all the donuts were subpar. The maple donuts frosting was hard and crumbly, good luck eating that and not getting all that frosting on your shirt. My beloved toasted coconut donut was removed and replaced with something that says coconut but does not look like coconut. Thanks, corporate... We also noticed the texture of the donuts were off, did not taste fresh natural.. had a chemical aftertaste. The kicker, was we saved a couple donuts to eat the morning after with our coffee... They were rock hard and tasted even more like they had chemicals inside of them... Unsure if the whole chain is falling apart or this location is getting sloppy with their baking. There's no denying Randy's is a good donut shop! They have a huge oversized donut that looks sharable for 2-4 people that's like $3.50 I think. I don't love donuts nor often crave 'em but when I do feel like one, Randy's is a solid go-to spot to get 'em. I like this location, as I was accustomed to the Inglewood location you can see off the 405 in the ghetto 'hood, but they've expanded to nicer more convenient locations in the South Bay and it's got greater appeal and accessibility for customers like me.
