I got the most incredible case of assorted wines with the theme of Italian regional wines. All exceptionally curated by Randy himself. Glad I met him. When I walked in, Randy stared at me with his pale skin face and eyes that seemed to tear through my innards. As he reached down slowly, I began to ponder on what to say to this intimidating man. Randys build is humanoid, but upon glazing at his upper half. I wonder if he really is someone to consider as a threat. As I pick up my order, his hand grazes mine to hand me my item. I look at him with uncertainty, as I begin to count each of his skins pores. His pores were like giant gaping craters on a distant space rock, that stared back at me more than his eyes did. Great selection of wines and cold beer. A great neighborhood store with friendly and knowledgeable service. Randy seems to go out of his way to make sure that he doesn't just carry the same old plain bottles, he has a great selection of excellent wine that you won't get anywhere else. My favorite liquor store in town! While it isn't the largest store, they pack a smartly curated selection of wines in all price points. Randy has never steered me wrong and even if he's not there, his knowlegeable staff helps me make the right choice.... from beer to wine to spirits. What can I say? This is my go-to place not just in Cos Cob, but in Greenwich. You have the 3 for $30 wine rack which has some really great vintages and then you just ask Randy or Jerry what you're in the mood for (or just what mood you're in) and they will steer you right. This is a small shop but well stocked and the service is excellent.

If you want to use technology to pay for your liquor than please don't go to this place. The owner might snap at you and curse you out. He also might recommend that you go to the bank instead of using your technology at his store. It cost him 50 cents for you to use your tech for your purchases. They have their inventory on their website and when I emailed to double check that they had something not only did Randy get back to me very quickly but he also asked if I wanted him to put one aside to guarantee it was there for me when I got there. Unless Lana was looking for Boones Farm and $10 is too much for a good bottle of wine, her rather unkind review and one-star rating doesn't even closely resemble the store I frequent. Randy and his staff are first class. They not only have an incredible variety, but they are knowledgable and friendly. They will take the time to discuss various whiskeys and the delicacies of certain scotches, and they know their wines. The prices are crazy, very small selection, the parking doesn't exist. avoid at all costs - either go to the store right across CVS (small selection as well but decent prices) or ex.5 at CVS/A&P lot. That said the staff is very nice, it's just a very small store with a very overpriced selection that was not researched beforehand. read more

I've been there twice now. The first time was not memorable. Today however, was a little different. I walked in and saw the owner and what I assume was a teenage kid who must've been the help. As I walked in, a lady walked out. The teenage boy said, "See you later, crazy woman." They both had a chuckle and made some other comments. Apparently, this lady was a regular that the teen didn't like dealing with. This is certainly NOT professional and pretty much typifies Greenwich. I won't be going back. read more

If you want interesting wine, well selected producers and wines leading the way in the best restaurants in NYC then you check this place out. Ask for Randy. He shoots straight but has no real bite. Great store with wonderful variety of wines and liquors - I was shopping for a gift for a wine lover and had no idea what to choose - the owner of the store Randy was so knowledgeable on the different types of wine that I was confident the selection made was the right one.
