No. Never. Absolutely not. Never again. About face. Halt. Freeze! Reverse. Backup. Run away. Keep clear. Speed pass. No parking. Negative! Do not waste your time. Attention all people with purchasing power. Stay as far away from this place at all cost. The customer service is the very worse on this planet. The manager is arrogant and delusional. The prices are a bit higher. The range lanes are small and tight so it feels like you are crowded in like sardines. You can only shoot lugs and don't dare buy a gun from here as it instantly loses its value and they compare it to buying a car. So I have been to this place 4 times. Purchased a riffle, got the whole membership thing and returned a month later to buy a handgun. I was talked into buying a specific model that they didn't have to rent to test. (Yes, to test any gun you have to pay to rent it first.) So I bought it, didn't like it, took it home overnight to think it through and decided to take it back to trade or return it for a model with a safety. So you have to talk to the manager to inspect the gun before you can trade it in. They offered me half the price I bought it for literally 2 days later from when I bought it and it was shot 1 time. I told them I wanted one with a safety. So with some casual back and forth to explain my concern about wanting a safety these dudes told me they refuse to let me trade in the gun even if I agreed to take the half price hit. They wanted to force me to keep the gun and get used to it instead of allowing me to trade it in at a lost to me all because I wanted a safety on it as the gun was going to be a gift for my wife. I was shocked. Wait .. I WAS SHOCKED! That's better. So I say, wait?! "So you don't want me to trade it in because you disagree with my reasoning and you will not sell me the one I want because you want me to keep this gun I don't want and keep coming back to pay for practicing with it more until she's comfortable with it vs me take a lost and getting another one that she is already used too." They said, "exactly." I said "cancel my membership and I will never come back here again." Regardless of the policy, the rudeness in customer service from the manager himself was completely inexcusable. I would have simply kept the gun and bought another gun as well if the customer service was such trash. I left there angry, found another spot up the street who traded it with zero problems with a way, way, way less hit than Suck Range USA and then the new spot was like, "if you buy anything from us you have 30 days to return it for full price." I'm like ..heck yes! So. Never shop at Range USA. Don't even waste your time on the tight range where even the target button never works right or at all. And they don't even warn you that the moment you buy anything from them, that you can only take it back for half of what you paid for it. Range USA is out of range! Stay safe and Prosper. read more

Before I begin let me start off by saying that this review is based solely upon my personal experiences and my personal experiences alone, so with that being said let's go!!.. My brother in law is a collector of guns, he calls it his hobby. So while I was visiting he asked if I wanted to go shooting at the range and of course I am a lover of guns as well ( but not to the extent of him ). But I haven't been to the gun range in quite some time so it was great to blow off some weapons. The gun laws in the state of Texas are a lot different then than the ones in Virginia and the licenses are as well. For instance his permits are valid in a lot more states than mine. Texas concealed weapons permit is honored by most states other than NY and NJ. ( I am from NYC, born and raised there and I know how strict the hun laws are there) and a couple of others where my concealed carry wis not valid in quite a few states..But enough of that because I could go on and on about the difference in gun laws between Texas are Virginia. Let's get back to this review!. My brother in law and I pulled up in the parking lot and walked in. There was a large selection of guns and ammunition to purchase to the right and also the line to wait for the gun range. To the left of the store when you walk in was a vending machine and the restrooms. The restroom was clean. My brother in law mentioned that this location was newly built and it showed. We stood in line, I had to fill out a waiver because it was my first time here. When we got to the register I just had to show my identification. My brother in law had his own weapons and gun chart papers so we didn't have to purchase theirs. We waited until they called his name and which stall was ready to use for practice!. I believe you pay by the hour, we were able and had enough time to use all the ammunition and new magazines he brought to try out at the range. My family and I literally just left this establishment (if you want to call it that, it's more like a club and hangout spot). We paid for 2 lanes, among other things. First off (and maybe we should have turned around here), during the check-in we were advised that they no longer had rental ear muffs but we could purchase our own ear protection? I find this interesting given there are a set number of lanes, with (apparently) a set number of people that can be at each lane. So how do you not (at a minimum) have enough protection equipment available to cover maximum capacity. Plus some. Ok, no biggie we will purchase the protection. The next (and main) issue I have was that during our hour long rental, one of the lane's target line was shot out. Now, I may not be too bright (and I say that with all sarcasm) but it's very hard to pinpoint who and how exactly the lane was shot down. I mean, it's not like there are bullets flying everywhere, right? So, half of our party was advised the lane was out of order but they could shoot on our lane. No problem, except 1) we paid for two lanes, 2) there can only be two people on a lane and the others would need to wait outside, 3) the lanes are time. It sorta defeats the purpose of purchasing two lanes. Well since we planned an outing to celebrate my mom's birthday, let's just all leave since we can't all participate at once. Now at this time, we all still had about 20 minutes on each lane. So my thought is (maybe) we would be able to recoup something for no longer being able to use an entire lane that was paid for. The front desk associate advised we would need to discuss it with the manager. Ok. Reuben arrives to "assist" us and he is immediately combative. He doesn't greet, doesn't introduce, nothing. We explained the situation (which he knew because he came over with a bias). I asked if we could receive some kind of refund or accommodation. He said no on the refund. I responded with 'but we paid for two lanes for an hour. Is there another lane we can go to?' He responded with 'we don't have other lanes and you also shot down a lane'. Wait. Are you sure? Are there cameras you can confirm or have already confirmed this with? If not, who is to say that is true? He responds, well I know the lane to the right didn't, they are in here all the time. Oh, interesting. So is this customer profiling (when one members of our party on that lane used to have a membership at this location? Or are these your buddies? I responded with, are you certain of that? He respond with, 'it's a 90% chance you all shot it down'. Ah. Now we bring mathematics into the situation. I asked Rueben if he knew math, because I would really like to know the variables used to arrive at the 90% he just threw out. And again...even with that there is a 10% likelihood that his assumption was in fact false. As a manager, he should be trained in customer service (based on other review you all don't care about this but he won't go far), and conflict resolution. Why not offer to add the remaining time to our open lane? Offer an additional 20 minutes added to a feature lane reservation. Or say and explain for certain we caused the damage. Anything but the nonchalant and condescending treatment received. If they choose to respond at all, pay attention to their responses. Almost all of their responses to negative reviews goes something like 'it's not our fault xyz'. No accountability. No remorse. No empathy. This place and the manager sucks ass. read more

Used to be a good place when it was Shoot Point Blank. I have spoken to Management about having a 223 round bounce back from the ceiling and hit me. No, I was not shot it was a bent round from a hipster and his friends renting a Tavor. I told them to watch aim when the Safety Officer should have caught it. I still have the bullet from the incident. Second they post sales on line and then make you wait for back orders for weeks if you get it all but full price items arrive within days. Finally what got me was a false advertised firearm on their website. I purchased a firearm that they had in stock. Paid. They took the money from my account and processed the order. They cancelled without reason and I had to call their corporate office. The corporate office stated that they would not sell a firearm that cheap. So why post it, run the order, and take my money? Dishonorable company. So I go because it used to be affordable and safe. Now the rebranding tells me unsafe as I still have that bullet in my possession so they can run a ballistics to check my story and review footage. Anyone can just use their lanes. They take money but not deliver products. They charge your accounts and cancel. Probably to show 4th quarter revenue while not having the actual product. Save time and shop mom and pop stores. This company has gotten too big and forgot where it came from. EDIT: The company has since this order cancelled my other back order. The operator was not looking for customer satisfaction when I called and suggested to cancel my membership. So if that is their view on customer satisfaction to cancel orders and be snarky then their customer base will move on and they will turn into the rest of the ghetto ranges that proper customers used to frequent. This new indoor shooting range has been in a soft opening mode for a couple of weeks now and will officially open the weekend of Feb. 22, 2019. I went a few days ago to shoot and experience this new business. This is a national chain of shooting ranges rapidly opening new stores in Texas with this the first Houston area store and the next one opening in Humble soon. The store is in a new building and has its own large dedicated parking lot. Walking in the front door is a large room with many firearms (handguns and long guns) in display cases and on the wall. Also available for purchase is a large ammo display and other shooting gear. They have 2 classrooms and offer group and individual training. The shooting range part of the business consists of 20 lanes separated in two rooms. Each lane is 25 yards long. They offer both 1/2 hour and full hour rates for both handguns and long guns. Also lower special rates for lunchtime, seniors, military and police, ladies and a date night for 2 people. They require a liability waiver signed ever year and charge a fee of $3 for this. There are rental firearms too. You can also buy monthly memberships that are more affordable if you are going to be a frequent shooter. I paid for the waiver fee and a lunchtime half hour rate. Targets here are .99 each and not included in the range fee or you can bring your own. Once inside the lane area everything is new and nice. Each stall has a toggle switch to move your target to the desired distance with yard markers painted on the floor for reference. Lighting was adequate. The first room of 10 lanes can be viewed from the retail area through large windows. A range officer stays in the shooting area observing for rules compliance. My experience went well. Here they don't allow rapid fire nor drawing from the holster which are bummers in my opinion. That has to do with them being a national chain. What I liked here: flexibility of half hour rates along with other special rates, easy parking, large selection of firearms, ammo and shooting gear for sale and reasonable priced monthly memberships. What I didn't like: The $3 waiver charge, no rapid fire and not being able to do holster work here. I expect this facility will do well appealing to the novice/casual shooter. read more

I went to Range USA Cypress this afternoon for some target practice. I purchased a box of Magtech 38S and proceeded to the shooting area. Loaded 5 rounds in one gun and 6 rounds in another. When I started to shoot, two of the five rounds did not fire. I picked up my other gun and this time 2 of the six shots did not fire. At this point I returned the box to the counter where I had purchased 15 minutes prior. The manager told me that they would make no refund or exchange. He said ammo sales were final whether they work or don't. He ask me what I wanted to do with the rest of the box. I am ashamed to say to I told CNN him to put them up his $$$. Lost my temper. I am canceling my premium membership as soon as their down website is up. This is an update; I did send an email as they requested and guess what ? No response. I think they only posted a response to help their image. Selling defective ammo should be taken seriously. Here is what should have happened: test fire the remaining ammo to verify my results. If verified then identify the lot pull all and contact the manufacturer. If the test did not verify my results then I need to take both guns for repair. read more

When he got there he was put on the other side entirely! I went to the front to tell them he's supposed to be next to us, the guy couldn't care less. Said he assigned the one he was given. I started off by taking the intro to handgun and then the basic handgun classes. The instructor Tim was really good, offered a lot of great tips, and was extremely safety-focused. The facility itself is is pretty new, I believe it open in February but they still keep it neat and clean. The store is well organized and well-stocked, you're greeted immediately upon coming in, the employees are very helpful and friendly. The range is nicely equipped and it was a pleasure shooting there. Some of the prices are slightly higher and some arr slightly lower than competing gun ranges. I noticed a lot of the employees name tags added small markings on them indicating their background, such as US Navy. They have a big parking lot and clean restrooms. I had an unfortunate experience with a competing gun range and store where I had a gun shipped to them as an FFL, and they never called me to say that it was in even though they said they would. When I went to pick it up, and inquired about classes they seem to be confused. This place was extremely organized in comparison. I will likely continue shooting here. read more

I signed up for a class in March. I chose to pay the day before because the pandemic was just beginning to shut businesses down & I understood there was a risk with trying to get into a class at Shoot Point Blank. I received confirmation for my class via email & the following day (Sunday) I went to the location near to me & had arrived about 20 minutes early. Once I was there I was told we needed our own ammunition. I didn't bring any because the on their website we were instructed to NOT bring any ammo to a class or any loaded magazines as there would be purchases of ammo on site, before class. Once I arrived the day of class I was told there was no ammo to be sold, which was understandable because there are many people clearing the shelves at that time...no big deal, I live minutes away from the location so I just headed back home to grab my personal rounds. Upon return I am then told that the class would be cancelled due to the instructor calling out saying he could not make it. Again, at this time (late March) no big deal people who are feeling sick are staying home & that's smart. I later call to ask how/what are we to do about paid courses & I am told I have to contact headquarters via their website to arrange a reschedule. They can't do that on site. I send an email & receive a reply a few days later. The reply tells me to just pick a new date & I'll be set. So, I'd like to choose April as my make up date but the next available is in May. I'm a little frustrated with this but other people have already reserved their dates & I get it. SO...I roll with the late May date. By this time I'm already thinking I made a mistake as I could have went with a local instructor & had this course handled already. I was trying to take a basic AR class. I receive an email on May 5 confirming my request sent out on April 13...poor communication on their part but hey it's a pandemic, right?? So I get it. Finally, May 24 has arrived & here in Texas things are slowly creeping to some kind of normalcy. Ammo is restocked online & in most stores. Restaurants & bars are reopening to some capacity & Shoot Point Blank has inserted measures to appease regulations & customers alike. I pull up about 30 minutes early for class, this time with ammo ready & if they say we have to buy onsite no big deal. I park & walk to the front but the doors are locked. It was around 4pm I believe that day. The lot was unusually empty where the customers would be but there were plenty of cars around side of the building. I just assumed those were employees. I'm thinking maybe they are closed to the public but only holding these classes so I call. No answer...another customer pulls up & he's asking me if I know what's going on & he begins reading the literature on the door to see if maybe there's a clue there...nope. I'm calling again at this point & I get an answer. I explain I'm here for the class that is now to be starting in a few minutes & I'm casually told the power is out & to try back in 30 minutes or so. So...I wait...AN HOUR. Needless to say the power did not come back on as far as I know & to no fault of the employees. My issue was the lack of communication. Everything that I've gathered to that point suggested that these classes were not going to be large. 10-15 people max. So with all of this being done online you would think there would be a contact list made so that Shoot Point Blank could call customers & tell them, 'hey, powers out we have to reschedule' or 'hey, no class, instructor is sick' Even a call 30 minutes to an hour before class would be nice especially seeing as how they have a no cancel policy in place that would later be brought to my attention. An email to corporate was sent out requesting a refund on the 24th of May because of course they can't handle this on site. I received a return email on May 27th saying that a refund would be issued out & an apology. Handled like true professionals. Then later that day, I get another email asking how I paid. I sent the method, also the confirmation # as well as screenshots of their responses on the initial payment from March. THEN I get no replies & no refund from that moment on. So I reach back out AGAIN via email on June 8. I receive a reply email on June 9 telling me that there will be NO REFUND & that the class was scheduled for March 27 & that I should go check out their rescheduling/refund policy...at this point I'm pissed! I KNOW exactly when the class was set & I KNOW about the reschedule because unfortunately I have been trying to do so for damn near 3 months!! Just for pure curiosity I go online & check class dates. The next class is set for the current date June 9 @ 5pm & even if I was interested in making last minute plans to be there I couldn't due to work...take a wild guess at the next available class...AUGUST 2020!!! AUGUST!!! I don't even know what to do at this point I am beyond disgusted at how this played out & how I was handled by Shoot Point Blank! read more

Very disappointed that I wasted an hour and a half driving to this range just to be turned away. My 23 yr son wanted to take my 14 yr old. I called in advance and asked if he would be able to bring him to shoot b/c I was not coming and was told yes. Upon arrive he was told he had to be his legal guardian. So it definitely depends who is working when you decide to come in. The first day we went in, the process was very smooth and the gentleman that helped us was excellent! I believe his name was Elias. We returned literally the next day only to stand at the counter for about twenty to thirty minutes without ever even being acknowledged. There was a couple that walked in about five minutes after us and they were receiving the same treatment. We ended us just walking out. The main woman behind the counter we saw whom we were waiting for never seemed like she wanted anything to do with us. Since we have purchased firearms before, we were trying to be patient, but this is ridiculous. Very disappointing. I went in on Saturday to look at buying a new gun, S&W Shield Plus 9mm. They had it in stock, a bit more than what I could get online. I liked how it felt, so I bought it. So today out comes the Shoot Point Blank email flyer with the weekly sale promotion. Smith and Wesson days at the range. The gun was on sale for $50.00 less than I paid, not a huge amount but it was something. Called up asked if there was anything they could do? Salesman says nope " we don't know what's on sale prior to it coming out". I said you have to it was "Smith and Wesson day at the range". He then transferred me to the Manager, who was the person who sold me the gun. I Asked the same of him, he said no, nothing he could do. He isn't aware of what is on sale prior to the add coming out. I wanted to learn how to use a gun properly so I selected Shoot Point Blank Cypress because of its location. On 2/10, I booked a private 2 hour lesson on line. I showed up on the date and time I requested and they had no record of my booking a lesson that day. I have to add that they had no problem charging my credit card for the lesson. So, I rescheduled for a different day. I got a call 2 hours prior to the lesson time that the instructor would have to cancel due to an emergency. No problem, I gave the instructor several different dates and times and he said I would get a call from the manager. So, here I am on 2/23 with no lesson, no phone call and I'm out the cost of a private lesson. Read the reviews and I am not the only one with a problem. read more

First, the range fees are expensive. Be prepared to spend over $30.00 even if you take your own weapon and ammunition. Second, I had an issue at the range. After shooting, I cleared the weapon, and safely transported it to my case. The range safety officer didn't say anything to me and I was about ready to head out. All of a sudden, a hard charging employee darts into the range area and commences to chewing me out because I didn't load the weapon in the case in my designated lane area. He then grabbed the muzzle of my weapon and burned his hand. He quickly left after realizing he made poor choices. I'm all for range safety...huge proponent of it. If I'm doing everything right and make a minor infraction a simple correction is all that is needed...not a show. This OIF combat veteran will go elsewhere to shoot for now on. I have been to the range USA aka SPB for many time and and purchased many thing included firearms. But this is worst one I have been with the company. Purchase a firearm online and have it transferred to this range just because they open everyday and close a bit late so I can be able to pick it up. But for the price of 75$ plus tax for the ffl fee. I expect it's goes smooth and fast. But it's not, they took 5 days to release my gun after I have no patient to come in the store to ask for it. After 3 days had no clue why they took so long and called the store for the reason. Answer is the guy work at receiving dock wasn't there for couple days. Oh woah, so no one else can do process? And where is my gun at if no one else control the shipment receive. Wait for 2 more days coming the store to check out what's going on. Then I got it done. No more business with the company anymore. O.K. I have not been in the gun scene for a few years so when my family ask if we can go to a range and do some target shooting I agreed to go along. My first impression when enter the place was Wow lots of ammos and lots of guns. They also have LTC classes going on at the time as well. We finally got two lanes and they were very professional and with the safety in mind very organized in my opinion, they also give Vet a discount that is a plus. When entering the range I would expected shells everywhere and the range marshal be very up tight like some other gun range. But I find it to be very different, the shooting booth was not filled with used shells and there was no gun power smell so the air circulation was very good. The range marshal that I was observing was very friendly and every once in awhile they were helping some green horn new shooter. Of course with all the safety and precaution in mind. it was a bit more pricy than some other range I was told but with that type of service and atmosphere I have no problem paying a bit higher price. definitely will return and do some more target shooting with the family read more

I would give a ZERO star review if I could. They ripped me off for over $50 with their monthly membership. They never said it was an auto-renewal, I only wanted it for one month, little did I know it would renew the following month. When I contacted them and explained the situation and asked for a refund, their answer was simply "we will not issue you a refund". What terrible customer service! As a California native with Texan parents, it's Oklahoma vs Texas games, Smoked meats and hot brass. First time actually shooting had to be in Texas...naturally. Yelp'd shooting ranges near me and SHOOT POINT BLANK was the first on this list, so I gave it a shot. Walked in and was immediately greeted, (like people who were raised right often do)..drooled over the firearm selection. Back in California we have water guns, and a slingshots adorned on the walls of our gun stores. Walked over to the range counter, A1 customer service, clean range, all the staff was super helpful. Some guy three lanes down from me brought in a gun that could shoot Godzillas kneecaps clean off, it was all a great experience for the first. I'll definitely be back. read more

Purchased gun in January. February 26th - 5:00 or 5:30 PM Date Night to use range voucher. Called ahead and explained we were new and could we attend a course or have assistance with getting started as we had a voucher to use. Were told there would be someone working the range to assist if we wanted to take part that Friday. CHECK IN Checked in and explained we were new. Never shot before, not previous gun owner. Counter clerk spoke fast, didn't provide any information, we were the ones asking all the questions. He was running back and forth between registers. He did ask where are ear plugs were so my husband shows him two sets of the tiny ones that go in your ears. He said okay. No explanation or recommendation of others to buy/rent or WHY they were important. Ask if we needed targets (REMEMBER WE ARE NEW HERE, NEVER BEEN TO A RANGE BEFORE). I said well I guess... isn't a target what we are shooting at? Then he asks how many? Hummm, I don't know NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE. My husband says... I guess two. EAR PLUGS/EYE WEAR We finish things at the register... walk towards the range and he stops and says you need to "put on" eye protective wear and our ear plugs... HUMMM, my ear plugs do not get put on they go in (no direction on this either). We question as to eye wear and explain we didn't know about eye wear... he begrudgingly goes and gets us two pair. No instruction was given about how to enter the range, to keep guns in the safe zone of the range etc. ROOM SAFETY My husband sets up in the assigned lane and I put my purse down on the table behind the isle and begin to pull out a .22 my dad has given me. Clerk then abruptly tells me to get into the lane that all guns must be loaded and unloaded in there. Again, shouldn't that have been stated PRIOR to entering the range? At this point, I am a bit shocked at the unprofessionalism going on here in what is suppose to be a SAFE space. TARGETS He then turns to me and asks, "Where the targets are?" Are you kidding me? I just paid you for targets... I don't know where are they? Begrudgingly, he walks me to a different range room and points through the window at the rack of paper targets against the wall and says go get them. Humm, okay... like do you have any recommendations for newbies? Do I just pick two? RANGE PRACTICE Guy quickly and hurriedly loads OUR gun clip and then cocks it into position and then hands the gun to my husband. Hummm, what part of we are new to this and need some direction is not understood? Again, we are the one's asking a million questions just to try and feel safe about what we are doing and where we are. RANGE NEXT DOOR About 30 min. in, first guy leaves and new guy enters... this guy seems to be more helpful and patient. Also new is now a guy to the LEFT of us in the next cubicle with a big, powerful, rest on your arm kind of gun and begins to rapid fire his gun, consecutively that even the range help cannot speak to me and we have to wait until the guy goes though many rounds and there is a pause in fire. The range guy says, "Geez" about what is taking place right next to us but says nothing to the person next to us. Of course we did not know this should not be taking place as this was our FIRST TIME (see below) NOTE: my ears hurt and I now clearly notice we are the ONLY two in the range without big ear muffs. At no time was ear gear discussed with us... options for buying/renting/recommendations? EXIT RANGE We don't really know when we started or what time we were to finish as this was also not DISCUSSED but after about 20 more minutes, I could not take the sound anymore and we finished and exited. IMMEDIATELY I could not hear out of my left ear and everything was muffled and my left ear was ringing. FAST FORWARD-A MONTH LATER I have had to see a specialist who determined I have high frequency hearing loss in my left ear. A treatment of steroid was tried for 14 days with no change. My follow-up appointment is tomorrow the need now to pursue a hearing aid. A discussion with the manager will be taking place today or tomorrow. read more

do not! do not take a class here!!! poor customer service online and you can only get a hold of someone via email! i signed up for a class march 22. after paying, i never received a confirmation email or instructions on what to expect for my class to take on march 28! when questioning and calling the location they told me to show up at 7pm for this class! so i did! when i got there they told me i should of been there at 2pm and ended at 7pm!! well!!!!! how was i suppose to know that! if no confirmation instructions or nothing was provided!!! i couldn't even access proof of the class because my account wasnt reflecting the class ! but you know where it was reflecting!!! my bank account!!! all they could do is tell me to email the main page!!! on march 28th guess what? i went home and later that night received the famous confirmation number!!! attached a screenshot of the email! when i finally heard back through email! they told me it was my fault for missing the class and there was no reschedule or refund! that i had to pay the class again!!!!! they must be stupid! i told them multiple times i wanted a refund and nothing was done ! now ive been ignored!!!!!! worst place to do business at ! read more
