As a former New Mexico resident I'm perpetually disappointed in the Mexican offerings here in Germany. While it's confusing, it is even more baffling to have all the right pieces and still be bland and nothing like Mexican food. Tortilla, meat, beans, cheese, and rice do not a burrito make. Imagine I asked you what is in a cookie, and you told me, "flour, sugar, butter, chocolate chips." Then, I hand you a literal pile of flour, sugar, butter, and chocolate chips. That's what a burrito is like here. All the right ingredients and intention without the desired results.
