I would give 10 stars if I could. We had solar panels installed and I wanted to make sure there was no damage to our roof. I sent out requests on Yelp, Ryan responded within 10 mins at 8pm. He came out the next morning IN THE RAIN and it is also 2 days before Christmas. Most of roofing service companies told me that they couldn't come until after New Years. The inspection was fast (about 10 mins). He went on the roof in person, not with a drone. Because we didn't have any damage, the inspection is free as promised, not $300 like other companies quoted me. We offered to at least buy Ryan a lunch for his time and his service but he said no. Where can I find someone who offers services like Ryan? From now on, if I or any of my family / friends need roofing services, Ryan will be the one we call. I found Rational Roofing Services on Yelp while looking for a company to conduct an inspection of a skylight in my home. I am selling my house and as a result of one of our home inspections, we were informed we needed to inspect the skylight and ceiling for water damage. After locating several companies, Ryan from RRS was the first and only one to contact me back within the hour. He offered me to come out to conduct a free estimate while also providing and explaining potential options over the phone. Ryan maintained communication the day off and before arriving. This company is the real thing, they are incredible and very, very honest. I put out a request on yelp late in the evening, and Ryan replied to me early ithe next morning that he could come out that day. I had a leak on my roof that I thought came from my solar installation last year, Richard came out and indicated to me that the leak was most likely not from the solar installation but to talk to them and see if they would fix it before he did any work. The solar company came out and did a courtesy patch on my roof. Richard had volunteered to come out after the solar company came out to verify everything was done correctly. Again, Richard came out and verified that all the work was done correctly and I do not need to do any work. I really wanted to do a patch on the roof even after the solar company did the patch Richard told me it would be a waste of money at this time. Both times they came out I was not charged for them even though they spent at least two hours at my house, I did offer to pay them but they would not take any money from me. The other companies either never responded, never followed up if you were able to get ahold of someone, or if you were lucky enough for someone to actually show up to provide an estimate, would give you a wildly expensive quote. One complication of this roofing job is the repair required was located under a solar array, which had to be removed and reinstalled. Rational has a solar contractor they work with, and this was included in the price whereas higher bidders said I had to arrange this myself and pay for it separately.
