It has recently extended its list of NHS patients and is this current climate is one of the rare few that has done so. All of my family have recieved their dental health care from here, and over the years we have had numerous treatments, all excellent. All 9 surgeries are computerised, equipped to the highest possible standard and fully air-conditioned. Treatment is offered to NHS, Private, Practice Plan, Denplan and Bupa patients. A full range of dental care is available. We can reccomend it because of the excellent orthodontic care my children have recieved, and in all honesty find that the staff are so friendly and courteous that they put us all at ease.

I subscribe via an insurance plan, which does work out pricey at over £40 a month, but this covers my husband and our two children. The reception is elegantly decorated and there are magazines and a tv to watch, while you are waiting. The receptionist is always courteous and very helpful. There is a hygienist on site, who you have to see to meet the terms of your plan. Most importantly, they always fit you in if it is an emergency, which gives you a feeling of confidence. There is parking at the side and a couple of spaces at the front. It is closed on Friday afternoon though. Recommended.

Like, ever…read more But the Bupa Dental Centre is situated on St Anne's Square in the middle of Manchester city centre so it's super-easy for me to get to - less than a five minute walk, in fact. The staff are friendly and my dentist explains everything he's doing as you lie there, mouth wide open and shaking at the thought of what's going to happen next. One thing that bothers me though, is that they will try various tactics to get you to part with more cash. I know that's probably the case for any dental surgery these days, but about a week ago, they called me and recommended a clean, which would set me back £40. They said it's not essential so I politely turned them down. I mean, why pay all that money then eat something an hour later which will just make a mess of your teeth again? Ridic! I'm having quite a bit of pre-wedding dental work done here over the next few months so may report back with more details but at the moment, Bupa Dental Centre are going to have to settle for a simple 'meh' from me.

His…read morebedside manner is excellent and he quickly puts you at ease; and he makes the effort to get to know you, remembering details about your family, job etc. He's been particularly tolerant of our two kids (now aged 3 and 5) who have sometimes had to accompany us on various visits. The surgery itself is a good one (although the parking isn't always straightforward) -- there's always plenty of reading in the waiting area and some toys for the kids too. It's a slight pity that he's not an NHS dentist, but then that's the way of dentistry these days All in all, a decent dentist.
