Clarification: Soups & salads are Nothing like your boring watered-down chicken noodle soup (or whatever the equivalent is in Finland) and uninspired wilted greens. It's much more elevated than that. Think: celery soup with salmon tartare, goat cheese & cashew salad. I'm not a big salad person, but find myself diving into a bowl of crisp lettuce more often than not. The restaurant also serves breakfast in the mornings 7:30-9:30, mainly for the hostel guests, but quite practical for us working at the campus too, but it's the lunch that is worth coming here fore. It didn't take long for the word to spread about MAU KAS in Otaniemi, around lunchtime there is already quite a lot of people, but with the additional two cabinets in use there is room for everyone. This hidden gem in Otaniemi is well worth a visit IMHO.
