Once I picked the one I wanted she went above and beyond and helped me do a little editing to it which made the picture all the more perfect. Her persistence throughout and helpfulness really made her stand out. Pricing was also great! Didn't just get a photo but a fun photo shoot, multiple pictures to choose from, and the help of her editing my favorite one. The overall product is of decent but not great quality. The photos are not edited well. When I got the professional prints, my eyes are closed in 6 of them! Our big 8x10 group shot has weird contrast and does not show the true colors of skin or dresses. It took forever to get anything fixed/finished and sometimes more than one phone call to get a response from Cynthia. There were over 1800 images on 4 discs, and not in chronological order. Figuring out what to order was confusing and took a long time. And while many of them are very good there was a lot of garbage that I had to sift through to find the good ones. I really enjoyed the photographer, Jacques, who has a great personality and lots of creative ideas. My makeup looks cakey in the bridal shots and again there was no effort to edit them to make it look natural. My wrinkles are obvious! I am so glad I got a video. The videographer was courteous and professional and got some good footage. He gave me a mic to interview people and I really liked that part. But the audio in most of it is quite poor. A lot of it is shaky. And there was NO footage AT ALL of 2 of our parents even though they had speaking parts in the ceremony. JayLynn got all the main parts correct, but the overall product is disappointing. I can say from experience that other studios who charge similar prices deliver a perfect product for that once-in-a-lifetime event. I will not use JayLynn again and do not recommend them for weddings.

So I got married on Mars (or the Planetarium's equivalent) a couple of weeks ago. It was the best…read moreever. When one is having such an awesome wedding, one must have an equally awesome photographer. It was really important to me that the photos truly captured the feeling of the event. I wanted people to look at the photos and really feel what it was like to be there. After browsing the websites of scores of professional photographers, I was starting to get discouraged. Either the photos in their portfolio seemed way overly posed, the photographer was wayyyy out of my price range, or both. Then I happened to come across an ad Samantha posted on Craigslist. Her portfolio was one of the best I'd seen. I knew she'd be way out of my price range, but I e-mailed her anyway. I was wrong. Her quote was really reasonable, and she was very enthusiastic about photographing our Martian adventure. I knew we'd found our photographer. We met up with Samantha several months before the wedding so she could check out the planetarium and talk to us about what we wanted to see in the photos. In the weeks leading up to it, she did light tests at the Planetarium to make things would look right. And on the day of, she took tons of killer photos. She was always professional and very easy to work with. We got the photos back two weeks after the wedding and they are all that I hoped for. Really. If people want to know what my wedding was like, all they have to do is look at the photos. All the emotions, all the happiness, it's all there. I also recommended Samantha to some other friends who had a much different ceremony than ours: outdoors, private, low key. (Our reception was pretty raucous.) And she did a wonderful job too, capturing all the serenity and tranquility of that situation as well as she captured our big party. I'm so pleased with our wedding photos, and if Samantha is your photographer, I'm sure you will be too.

Sam didn't meet my expectations for a wedding photographer -- she excelled well beyond them! My now…read morehusband and I decided to elope; but the only thing we wanted to be SURE to really invest in was our photographer. We were so happy when Sam agreed to accompany us on our not-so-traditional walk down the municipal asile. Calm and collected during the whole event, Sam managed to keep us at ease as well. I was a hectic waiting period at the City Clerk's office (nearly two hours!) but Sam took it all in stride, making sure to fully capture the excitment and energy of the whole event. And boy was I glad that she did. Honestly, it was such an emotional time for me I don't think I fully appreciated the beauty of it until I got Sam's photos back. We may have scrimpted on the ceremony but THANK GOD we made sure to invest in Sam!
