We stopped in before a wine tasting at Coffele and lingered at one of their outdoor tables for a while, just enjoying the beautiful town of Soave. The shop could get away with charging a fortune for the scenic seats and tasty gelato but it was very reasonably priced -- about €5 for two flavors and the tasty wafer cookies.

What little I do know of olive oil is that it's delicious and at their tasting station, it was confirmed that made the right choice stopping here. The lady helping me was wonderful and helped me find the "right" oil for dipping. Others for cooking and even the right balsamic vinegar! Then I went crazy and picked up each of the infused varieties too. Inside is rustic yet gorgeous with a few remnants of oil processing. Prices were great in my opinion and definitely the must stop when traveling through.

We spent about an hour tasting and selecting from a wide variety of excellent olive oil, pesto, olives, soaps, lotions and much more. If you want to ship some home just ask for a shipping box and they are happy to provide you with them at no charge and they will included the packing materials too. My favorite oil was the lemon olive oil. They also offer an amazing balsamic they have made specially for them. As I write this my boxes (yes, I sent myself two boxes of amazing yumminess) have yet to arrive but I did bring back a jar of pesto that I've been sharing with friends, everyone says it's the best they've ever tasted.

Gelateria Patagonia is definitely doing something right! Skip the romanticism of Romeo & Juliet's grasp on the city of Verona and focus on the gelato here, first off it's located in a great shopping center and there's a line out the door. Great signs! After managing to find out where the line was after pushing through people, I got my hands on a cup of Amarena and Romeo Baccio. A little fruity gelato to go with something more rich and decadent ... you know, like Romeo ... BACK TO THE GELATO- focus. The gelato has a great thick texture, definitely creamy, not too sweet with great flavors. The Amarena was okay, but the Romeo Baccio was perfection! As I learned from my visits to gelaterias it's that you can't go wrong with the following flavors: pistachio, chocolate, cafe or nocciola (hazelnut) or some kind of variation. Price wise, average with a bigger portion! Dropping a star at the lack of apparent line, it's more like who's up next gets to place their order and that it gets way too crowded, especially being walking distance from the Arena and Juliet's balcony.
