I discovered that I am unable to ride due to some serious spinal issues and I tried to trade the bike in, MY ONLY VEHICLE, in on a used car. The car dealer contacted Rawhide to work out the deal, but Rawhide doesn't care about their previous customers or treating people with dignity and respect after the deal is made and offered to buy it back for 65% of what I paid for it. Harley's don't depreciate in value THAT quickly, but they don't give a you-know-what!!! Stay Away!!!! Brand new owners were made to feel like old members of the family, they played "thunderstruck" and everybody cheered and congratulated them. There is a great selection of clothes, gear, parts, and bikes available. They did seem to be perpetually disorganized, but if you are patient, you will get what you want. I have a 1950 WL45 and wanted a new set of rubber,(tires),and was told by the service guy at the desk that,"We don't work on old junk"!! And I'm going in my mind,it's a friggin' Harley,I'm not asking for an engine overhaul,just tires!!! So I ask what was the big deal on the year of the bike cause all I wanted was new tires on it and he started to get real vocally arrogant and reiterated "We don't work on old junk"...So,I left and headed down to Gale's Harley and boy I'll tell you what it was like night and day...they offered me coffee or a soda,rolled my WL45 in asked what tread style and gave me a 20% discount on the tires with free balancing!!! Yesterday, I used the HD Freedom Promise Guarantee and upgraded from the Sportster Iron 883 to a Softail Street Bob. Throughout the whole process, I felt like Chad in sales really listened to me and my worked to understand what I wanted to in a bike. He has a cool, laid-back kind of personality (from Seattle and Midwest roots, I learned) and good conversation skills that is enjoyable to be around. Justin and Mike who negotiated the financial side with me were never pushy, but, eager to help and they bent from where they probably should have stayed to get me on the better bike I wanted. The whole crew that I met in the various departments such as Randy in Service, Hollywood in parts, Jaclyn in Retail, Tim and Harvey the Managers, to name a just a few, were helpful and fun to be around. Part II: So, we received our fender cover in the mail just today. Remember we took our Harley in for insurance repair at the end of Oct. We called to see when someone would be in our vicinity to put it on the bike. All I can say is DONOT buy at RawHide Harley until you've shopped at least 2 other dealer's. I stopped in for service on my 2017 SG CVO. While waiting on service dept. I saw a beautiful 2019 SG CVO. salesman wanted to wanted to run numbers on a trade in of my EXC cond. 2017 SG CVO w/2400 miles. They came back $9100.00 over Harley's printed MSRP on their 2019 SG CVO. And 13K under NADA on my Bike. Then got upset at me when I said I wasn't interested in the deal. Had me going from Owing19K on my 2400 mile bike to owing 50K on a 2 year newer bike. Sales manager lied about several things during our sit down. Salesman Big Tim was really nice. Do your home work before buying. Know what Harley's real MSRP is. Know what your trade in is really worth. read more

Ok better late then never. My wife and I stoped in on a little ride from Wichita ks to Lincoln Nebraska ya the long way. We were going to do 7 harley shops in 4 states in 1 day. This was are 2 nd stop I wish I could rember are sales girls name but she was great told her what we were doing she got a good laugh out of it then took the time to look up all the dealers in the greater KC area put them in order and call each one to check and see if they were open for us. Also gave us her employ discount and told us good luck with the greasiest smile of the day. As we were walking out it had got around the store what we were doing about every sales Pearson had to stop and tell us us good luck. As we left the sales manger seen my bike land had to come out and check it out because they didnt have one ( 2017 street glide special in the purple flake ) all in all if I get a new bike I just might go down there and talk to them. read more

The sales department is like a bunch of "used car salesman". They offered me a price HIGHER than MSRP and wondered why I was not happy? They proceeded to reduce their price to MSRP, as they said all dealers do (which they do not). They then tried to get me into or state what monthly payment I could afford (before we agreed on a price). These guys are all about getting buyers into a monthly payment and not about negotiating the "sales price". I walked away and bought my Harley at Topeka Harley-Davidson. It's the difference between a dealer who is just selling bikes at or above MSRP and smaller dealer who actually understands and cares. Drive to Topeka and save a lot - I did!! read more

Bought the Rawhide Harley VIP service(don't recommend). 5K service, left bike 2 days. Picked up bike, rear tire burnt off and oil blowing out intake. Look on the north side of Rawhide Harley building you can see the amount of burnt off tire rubber on the drive. Had a speedo problem (sticking), Rawhide would not warranty it. Went to Historic Harley and they ordered another speedo and fixed my problem. Also purchased extended warranty from Historic Harley, because I don't know if the a-holes at Rawhide hurt my bike (other than needing a rear tire). The VIP service is good only at Rawhide and you should not buy this. Mine is still within the coverage and will not be going back there for service, even though I already paid in advance. read more

I had been exchanging emails and phone calls with this dealership for nearly two weeks, trying to get some information about inventory, pricing and some answers to questions about the purchasing process. After having to work through a lead-generator several times, I finally reached a salesperson, then a sales manager, a public relations/customer care specialist (I have NO IDEA why), and finally the dealership general manager, however none of them could or would answer my questions about inventory or price. Since I'm an out-of-town customer, that was a deal-breaker. When I asked the general manager about his "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau, his response was "Well, there's a lot of stuff out there on the internet." There sure is. Read for yourself. Went to the service department for a brake job and a cruise control check. Was told it would take 4 days and I'd get a call when service was finished. The bike was there for 3 weeks. It took me 6 calls to get past the "should be getting started on it today" BS and get to the service department manager Will. When I finally got the bike back, throttle cables were loose, accessory fuse pops every time I start the bike, no cruise repair. This place was horrible! Fun place to go plenty of eye candy, pretty much the typical Kansas City area Harley Dealership....be on your game when you go. They sell hard and don't like to give out prices. These people will tell you anything to make a sale but not deliver afterwards. VIP is a joke, your bike will take just as long as everyone else's and most likely not done right. The service manager and staff are all under 25 (that should tell you something). Looking back I wish I would've bought from another dealer. BEWARE! They have some shady tactics about signing you up for credit cards without your approval and they will mislead you about additional products. They took a card out in my name saying that I gave them permission when determining credit worthiness for purchasing a motorcycle. Also, they misled me into believing that the VIP Passport was good at any dealership. I live in D.C. where it's not useful at all! Susie sold it to me and lied to me about the product AND about talking to her boss. Jerry is a terrible person calling me a liar. They want me to pay over $300 to cancel the product. Went there yesterday and was there for 20 minutes and nobody bothered to assist me. I just sold my motorcycle last week and for the first time in 35 years I don't own one. My experience was mixed emotions. I loved my bike(2005 soft tail springer)very low miles ,just an incredible bike.. It was uncomfortable riding especially with my wife due to a previous back injury. Rather then give up riding I decided to lighten up and shop sportsters . During the negotiating I was informed that no one would want my 2005 springer that they would have to give it away or wholesale it to a dealer in Oklahoma .This bike had 4590 miles on it and was close to show room new. About one more minute would have been a deal breaker .They did give me a fair value for the bike about 2 hours later . The rest ( shaking hands with the staff) and a grand tour of the place was impressive .They just have to realize just because you're shopping bikes doesn't necessarily mean you're trying to get rid of a piece of crap. read more

nice place to start if you enjoy being lied to and wasting your time and/or money. the sales people are great the management leaves much to be desired as well as they don't tend to keep information on customers to help in one buying a bike (even if the sales rep you spoke with isn't in that day. I cancelled my application for financing based on the idea I don't appreciate being told one thing and then when I make it happen it requires me to make several more trips out there, my time is valuable as well as what it costs me to make the trips.
