I have always found Rawtenstall Post office to be well staffed and efficient. Even at peak times I don't think I have ever been waiting more than a few minutes. Staff are always welcoming, polite and informative. Well kept store. The layout is well thought out and with a generous selection of greeting cards and stationery for those last minute errands! Rawtenstall Post Office is located on Kay Street, it is slightly hidden behind the new bus station in Rawtenstall town centre. When I first entered, it felt more like a card shop than a Post Office, the selection of greetings cards was very large which is unusual for a Post Office. They had barriers in place for queuing which again I feel were an unnecessary obstacle given the fact this particular location never seems to get too busy. I do think it could have been laid out slightly better. They have a good number of services/facilities on offer, the weekend opening hours are pretty poor, closing at noon on Saturday and then being closed until 8:30 on Monday, however during the week the opening hours are slightly more generous than most, opening until 6 pm.
