I've had two pairs of Ray Bans that I was about to toss out because one of them (Aviators) was missing the little rubber nose piece and the other (Wayfarer) had a busted left eye piece. I've had both of them for years -literally like 10 years- I LOVE both styles and both are truly classic so I've kept them thinking I'd figure out what to do with them at some point. I was just about to throw them away because I figured I held onto them long enough, when I decided to Google "how to fix" Ray Bans. Good 'ol Googly moogly set me in the direction to the "nearest store" which I had no idea even existed! I called the Venice location and was told I could go online to purchase the glass replacement pieces and they would put them in the frame and the for the other, I could come in & have the nose piece fixed for free. WHAAAAAAAAAT?!? Hot diggitty!! Had I known this was an option I would have fixed them yearrrrrrs ago! I went onto the website, ordered those babies and as soon as they arrived I took my hiney right on down to the Ray Ban store to get my oldies lookin new again. The salesperson working was unable to put the new glass into the frames and I had to hang out for a while until the manager Chris got back to see if he was able to work some magic. THANK GOODNESS I waited because Chris put some MAD elbow grease in an effort to get the new glass pieces into the frames and was successful which meant I could wear them again!! Happiest girl ever!! Man, I missed these shades! SO HAPPEH I held onto them instead of tossing them out. Thanks Ray Ban for making such awesome "never go out of style" shades and thanks to the manager Chris for making HUGE effort to get my Wayfarer's put back together! #happycustomer

Now, this review is not about their Optometry team, they might be great, I have no idea. I went in with a prescription for 3 glasses, needing 5 total. There selection was pretty good, not great, but I can't see so I really needed these glasses. They are a tad pricey, but that was also okay, as they promised me these glasses would be ready in a week and a half. I said, I'll give you two weeks, can you do it. I can't drive, I can't read. They promised that 1 and a half weeks would be plenty of time. Right. Almost a month later I called them and I got the "we were just about to call you" line, which you know is always false. They said my last pair just came in. I asked why they had not called when the first pair came in as I was very clear I could not drive or read. I got silence. I went in to get my glasses and waited close to 20 minutes Just for them to be fitted and put in a case. Now when I finally saw someone she was great, thus the 3 and not a 1 rating. She took care to fit the glasses right and put them all in cases--not the cases I thought I would have like the ones with the name of these expensive designer glasses I bought, but whatever. I won't be back. Don't make promises you can't keep, if there is an issue call the customer and don't make them call you, because having my husband drive me around is just so much fun and not at all a waste if his workday.

I'm honestly blown away by JINS. I've always just gone through my optometrist for glasses, and this…read moretime I was quoted around $700 for a frame (granted, it was a nicer designer one), plus another $550 just to add my prescription--even after insurance and basic upgrades like blue light filtering. It felt insane. Then I found JINS randomly strolling down abbot kinney, and the difference is unreal. Their frames are actually stylish and super affordable, but the craziest part? The prescription lenses are INCLUDED for free. No hidden fees, no add-ons stacking up.. I even added a rosy cheek tint to my lenses for about $100, which I've literally never seen offered anywhere else. Such a unique touch and it actually looks amazing in person. It feels like they completely rethought how glasses should be priced and designed. Super innovative, transparent, and genuinely worth it. I don't think I can ever go back to buying at the optometrist!!

I purchased a pair of glasses for my 11-year-old son in September 2025. The young woman who helped…read moreus at the time was friendly and professional, and the glasses were ready within an hour. My son loved them. A couple of months later, one of the screws on the frame loosened and fell out. We returned to the store, and the issue was fixed within about 20 minutes at no charge. The woman who helped us was polite and helpful. Unfortunately, the same issue happened again. In January, the screw loosened once more, causing one of the lenses to fall out and break. This time, our experience was completely different. The man assisting us showed no empathy or apology despite this being the second time we returned for the same problem. Instead, he blamed my 11-year-old son, suggesting he didn't know how to properly wear or remove his glasses. His tone was condescending and dismissive, which was unacceptable. We were told the lens needed to be replaced at a cost of $90, were promised the glasses would be ready in 30 minutes, and that we would receive a text when they were ready. After waiting over an hour with no text, we returned to the store only to find the glasses had been ready but no notification was sent. To make matters worse, the same employee again lectured my son on how to wear and remove his glasses, stating, "Glasses only belong on your face or in the case, nowhere else." He then added that if we returned again with issues, there would be additional charges, as if he were doing us a favor -- despite us paying for a replacement lens and dealing with repeated defects and poor service. This employee's behavior was unprofessional and far below the standard of every other staff member we've interacted with at JINS. I've been a loyal JINS customer since purchasing my first pair in Osaka after graduating college, and I've recommended the brand to others, including my son. Unfortunately, this experience has shown me that I can find better quality glasses and far better customer service elsewhere. JINS has lost a loyal customer.

My first attempt to contact the company was through Facebook on March 21 regarding availability of the Jacques Marie Mage Lucknow in Beluga. I never received a response. I then sent an email on March 26 and also received no reply. Because I was trying to confirm whether the frames were physically in stock before purchasing, I eventually had to call the store directly from overseas at approximately 4:00 AM local time due to the time difference. During that call, I asked why I had not received responses to either my Facebook message or email and was told my inquiry may have been "lost in all the emails." I was also informed that the optical frames I originally wanted were no longer available, but that the sunglasses version was still available instead. I ultimately placed the order on April 10 (April 9 U.S. time) and received a shipping confirmation and tracking number two days later. However, despite advertised 2-day shipping, the tracking remained at "label created" with no movement for over a week. I reached out again on April 19 to ask why the package had still not shipped. I was then told there had been issues with USPS pickups related to military/DPO shipping requirements and was assured the package would ship within 48 hours. To be fair, the frames did eventually arrive and were authentic, properly packaged, and in excellent condition. The product itself was great. However, for luxury eyewear at this price level, I expected significantly better communication, responsiveness, and shipping transparency. Customers should not have to repeatedly follow up across multiple platforms or make international calls in the middle of the night simply to confirm inventory and shipment status. Overall: - Excellent product quality - Poor communication - Frustrating fulfillment experience - Customer service that did not match the luxury pricing I'm happy with the frames themselves, but the overall buying experience left a lot to be desired.

I am writing to provide an update on the actions taken when I returned with the frame they provided. They replaced it with a superior one, and I am perplexed as to why they did not take such action from the very beginning. Apart from this, the overall experience has been satisfactory. They perform well, but when they make mistakes, they are reluctant to take responsibility.
