CFU today to find out what to do with the black cord remaining, Dakota called it a coaxial cord. He said "whatever I want to do with it". I didn't know if I should leave it exposed or cut it off, one is at least 20 feet long. This was the first time I was not enthralled by CFU customer service. I asked again "so it's ok to just cut it off". He said again (do what you want it yours). I guess a wanted him to give me a (yes cuttting it off to get rid of unsightly wires is fine, they are not live wires,) His words were succinct and condescending. So why not correct the advertisement for your service then and be honest? They have a 1Gig service, too. I wonder if you really only get 300-400Mbps!
