We take your discomfort seriously and will do everything we can to get you the relief you need. In fact, if you are in pain, you should not have to wait. We offer early morning and same day appointments so you can get relief quickly." This is not true! I was barely able to walk due to intense pain and swelling in my right foot/big toe. I waited outside before they opened and asked if they could see me, even offering to just wait there until someone could see me. I was told no, they had no openings and were even 'double booked all day'. I pleaded. Despite barely being able to walk, literally moving only inches at a time to keep the weight off of my foot, they watched me shuffle out in intense pain with no concern at all. None. I found another provider that was able to see me. They told me they keep at least 3 schedule slots open each day to provide for patients like me that need immediate care. It took a 10 minute consultation with the doctor to get a diagnosis and prescription that provided relief within 24 hours. Don't expect to be able to walk in and get any consideration if they are 'double booked all day'.

The IV sedation and surgery was quick and professional. I don't have any past experience with surgeries, but my time spent in the waiting room was around 2 hours beyond my scheduled time of surgery. I also was left alone in the operating room for a while before being sedated and after waking up. I wish my husband had been allowed back there to help ease my nerves as a first-time sedation patient :/ Also, I feel like my husband should've been given the after-care information that I received (as I was fresh out of surgery and not fully alert).

My…read moreprimary care physician had noticed a substantial bulge in my groin area during a checkup and confirmed it was a hernia. He recommended I contact Kansas Vascular and General Surgery to schedule an operation to address the hernia. On my first visit to KC Vascular the Dr. I was referred to felt the same bulge and said oh yeah that is a hernia let's schedule you for surgery and turned me over to his admin team to schedule the surgery which I did. Several weeks later I received an invoice for that visit in the amount of $70.00. I immediately contacted the billing office to ask why I was being charged $70.00 to simply tell me I had a hernia when my Dr. had already told me I had a hernia and just needed to schedule surgery. The agreed that seemed odd they would charge me for that and indicated she put a note in to the local office to call me to review the charges and contact me if valid. The next call I received was from MediCredit. They not only did not respond to my inquiry on the bill they just sent me right to collections which now impacts your credit. If your Dr tells you that you have a hernia, do not schedule an appointment for the surgeon to simply confirm it as they will charge you for that. As if healthcare and insurance for healthcare and the surgury itself aren't enough of an expense already, now I am being harassed by collections to pay another $70.00 to simply confirm what my Dr sent me in there for. As opposed to discussing the charges with me and validating them, KC Vascular just sent me right to collections. I do not think that is an appropriate way to treat a patient and do not recommend seing them as a result of my experience ttying to discuss a charge, only to be sent immediately to collections impacting my credit. I think this is a terrible way to treat a customer/patient.

I spent nearly a week in the ICU with four broken ribs and never received a clear explanation as to why this happened. I had to take 8 weeks of unpaid leave under FMLA to recover, which caused serious financial strain. Despite this experience, I decided to try the procedure again in April 2025 at a different facility with Dr Park. Unfortunately, I experienced another serious complication. While recovering, it was discovered that Dr. Park had accidentally nicked an artery in my leg, causing a massive hematoma. I had to undergo emergency surgery by a vascular surgeon, and what should have been an overnight stay turned into another week in the hospital, followed by another 3 weeks of unpaid leave. Since then, I have made multiple attempts to speak with Dr. Park or someone in his office regarding what happened, the impact it's had on my health and finances, and my questions about billing. I was told I would not be allowed to speak with him, and no one has returned my three calls. I am extremely disappointed by the lack of accountability and communication. These complications -- both life-threatening -- and the complete absence of follow-up care or explanation are unacceptable. I personally believe Dr. Park takes on too much and moves too quickly, which may have contributed to the errors in my care. Please be cautious if you are considering this provider. My experience has been physically, emotionally, and financially devastating, and I am still dealing with the aftermath.
