Well I had a terrible experience with an agent today. Just when I FINALLY FOUND a BEAUTIFUL HOUSE, with EXACTLY EVERYTHING I AM LOOKING FOR up for sale on Craigslist ...the agent that had the add up QUICKLY TOOK THAT AWAY!! After reaching out to the number provided , I was crushed to find that the agent assumed I had read the sale price with deposit wrong. I literally was looking at a screen shot of the add he had on Craigslist!! I had to read back HIS ADD to him. I was in shock and confused cause it made no sense to me. Ok so if that wasn't enough .. he didn't apologize for the "error" was unprofessional... how... I believe when you call someone and if your away from your desk answering the call at home or on your own time , it is your choice to take the call so be professional. Why answer the phone with a tone that makes it aware to the caller that they are interrupting your time!! Also, wouldn't the agent be apologizing for the mistake or misunderstanding and offer other properties or a solution to keep their business and make a sale ??? Nope .. not to this agent .. he was quick to hang up , and basically turn someone away !! I will be taking my money elsewhere. If the agent/client bond isn't there from when we meet .. then It's not going to work at all !! read more

Aprille Sowder definitely went above and beyond her job. 5 stars really isn't enough to give to her. We found Aprille online just like the way we search for good restaurants on yelp. Aprille was ranked number 1 with all the good positive reviews. But unlike yelp could be unreliable at times, Aprille's excellence is really solid and consistent. As first time home sellers, we really couldn't be happier that we found Aprille. Following are the things that I think Aprille has been consistently exceeded: 1. Expertise-we all know that the quickest way to know a person's level of knowledge is by asking tons of questions (I didn't do it on purpose. It's just what first home buyers/seller do and me being myself). I couldn't recall the specific questions that I've asked Aprille, but I was very impressed every time when I got the response from Aprille. Her expertise and timely response makes her really reliable. 2. Timely communication - Aprille has so many clients at hands but I was amazed by how she was still able to respond to my emails and phone calls in a very timely manner. It's not just about the deliver on time; it's the accuracy of her response and the knowledge she has that really makes the whole home buying/selling process smooth. The team of John Ximenez and Linda pilar are horrible. They claim John is lead of the property managment side and linda is the assistant but for real estate sales their roles are reversed. If I could give negative stars I would. These guys are crooked and shady. We rented a property and at showing John said we would get pool cards. Later it was that I had to pay for them. Wind blew part of the fence down and I told them about it being a safety and security issue. Nearly a month later no fix. Called again and was down talked for not following up with them. I had to threaten to pay myself and deduct from rent or option to terminate my lease. Initially they tried saying I was not allowed to do it. I had to state the portion of the law that allowed it. Still took too more weeks to get it done and was a shoddy fix at that. My fault I should have terminated the lease at that point. At move in the carpet was seperating at the seams and told them about it. They told me to get the quote but it was never fixed. Again my fault for letting it go and not pushing it Fast forward to the end of our lease and they noticed us at end of April the plans were to sell the property and I had to comply with showings or they would charge me a fee. Lease was up at end of may. But was told due to 60 day rule in the lease i was forced to pay may and june but i was free to leave anytime before then. Phone messages were a lot nicer to me rather than the negative tone for messages to my wife. John came to thehouse to place the sign and take pictures for the listing(with his iPhone-lol very professional). Nothing negative was mentioned. They came at perfect time as the gardener and housekeeper came the day prior. Two weeks later linda called and said she needed to redo the pictures and i needed to "tidy" up the place. I took offense to that as I pay good money for lawn care and housekeeping services twice a month. She wanted it to look good for their pictures and to move my stuff to the garage. I was appalled. I reminded her that they need to realize we are opening up the house for showings yet we were still living in the home and not going to change the way we live to make them happy. They used picures from years ago that did not accurately depict the house or its current condition. Linda said she would redo them when we left at the end of May. I corrected her that we were told we were responsible there until the end of June by john and i originally offered if we could leave earlier if we found a place. She claimed to not know about the June date per the 60 day rule but sure as hell knew about the clause about not allowing showings and the fee for it. Then tried to claim a verbal statement did not count and changed the tone quick when i told her i had the statement in an email and was very much a valid and legal statmenrt. Lastly, the last month we were there we paid rent and signed in to the log book they have for paying rent. (Not late at all once during the year) after we moved I began asking about the closing process and no contact from them at all during June. The reply i got was they never got the rent for june and i was therfore forfitting my deposit(2,000). Needless to say im furious i checked in and paid like the process they established and very conveinant that they didnt get my rent for the last month. But no calls or contact from them. They are crooked and shady. Its now middle of July and I have yet to hear anything from them. I verified my check was never cashed and now have put stop payment on it. Lesson learned to deal with shady businesses and their practices. Top it off they offered to help find a new place and even help us find a place to buy. These "a holes" would be the last company i would wver recommend for anyone, ever. Stay away. read more

I am such a fan of RE/MAX Associates. The real estate agents who part of the brokerage are very professional and represent the NAR Code of Ethics to the core. The agents believe the client/customer comes first and always work with that in mind. The owner/broker encourages his agents to stay on top of current education and offers classes at least twice a month. Knowing the market statics of the local market is very important to RE/MAX Associates. Also know that this office is involved in the community as well; RE/MAX Childrens Miracle Network, helping with the SA Foodbank and raising funds for the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure are part of this great office atmosphere. read more

If I could give this group a minus 20, I would. They were very hard to deal with, low-balled us terribly on the value of our home, and then pulled a sneaky, dirty little deed when it came down for them to purchase our home on the agreed amount. There were 3 simple things that they did that will stick with us forever and keep us from ever trusting a realtor again. 1. The appraiser they sent out for our 3 year old home was well below market value. They appraised our home at 460,000.00. After they tried to cheat us again and we backed out of the contract, we decided to refinance and had another appraisal done just a few months after the first one. Their appraisal amount was 490,000.00. Amazing, huh? They were trying to cheat us right off the bat by 30,000.00 and then they insisted that the price of our home be reduced by 10,000.00 more each month it was on the market. 2. They sold us on their company based on the fact that they were very aggressive sellers and never kept a home more than 2 months. This realtor was recommended by Princeton Classic homes, a company that gave them discounts if they could get a buyers home sold for a new home. They said that they were the number 1 seller in San Antonio and Austin and that there would be no problem in selling our home. They also told us that out of 600 plus homes they sold last year, they only ones they had to buy was about 16 and they were less desirable homes in San Antonio with lots of work to be done. Well, they do not sell homes, they market. Just to let you know, you can market your own home for about 700.00, the same as what they charge about 38,000.00. 3. After we thought the contract was done, and the Schrader group told us it was a done deal, they send an inspector out. The inspection came back (on a 3 year old brand new home in a very high end subdivision) with 16 pages of lies. The inspector talked about floors cracked and ceilings cracked and things that were not true or things that were normal for homes and not an issue. They also said things such as the septic tank had roots growing into it and needed to be pumped. Our septic tank is checked quarterly and does not have to be pumped out but every 5 years. We got the septic tank people to come out because it is covered in their service and they said they did not know who this inspector was but he didn't know what he was talking about. The septic was fine. This was how The Schrader group got out of the contract. They insisted that all of these items be corrected before they would buy anything. They hinted at not wanting to honor the contract in a meeting they had but we were trying to hold them to it. This is a terrible real estate group to go with. During the 4 plus months we had them, several real estate friends told us to be careful, that most of these type of services do not actually prove to be true. You would think that by law, they would have to honor their contracts, but they don't. We ended up losing a house that we were building and $4500.00 cash. I hope people see this and realize before they make any deals with this group. They do nothing to sell and everything to cheat people. read more
