I have used her as a personal gardener for both spring cleanup, all year planting and pruning and deadheading and weeding, and fall cleanup for over three years and no complaints so far. I saw my neighbour posted some nice review and photos about a year ago and Ive been meaning since then to add my comments, I am so slow. Over 2 acres of gardens - with over 500 trees, 50 varieties of plants, fountains, fish ponds, and a 900 sq. ft. living wall, fountains that acts as a natural bio filter. Many of the plants are labeled and there are interesting info signs scattered about. There's a kids playground and even a small climbing wall on one end. Scattered throughout are lots of bistro style tables and chairs. And they have a permanent sculpture exhibit by Tom Ward - such whimsical wooden sculptures - they fit perfectly in the gardens. And turns out, the sculptor was a City of Calgary employee! The city parks department maintains the gardens and they do a lovely job. It was spotless inside and such a relaxing place to take a break after tons of walking around the city. Definitely worth a stop when exploring the downtown core. Highly recommend!

One can easily spend hours in here with the wide variety of food, drinks, and shopping options. To top it all off, there is an absolutely stunning garden on the fourth floor with ample seating and complimentary WiFi. I can see myself just posting up there and getting work done, reading a book, or just relaxing. Only downfall is that all the washrooms are on the fourth floor and with how the escalators are set up and small elevators, it can be a pain to get up there. I wasn't having a great day going around but alas, I found this place in the innermost part of the zoo. This place actually made my day. At the front lawn, we saw a red giant chair where our group held the mandatory photo ops. Then we proceeded to the left wing of the building where the greenhouse is located. There is a botanical garden with various tropical plants and trees that don't normally grow in Alberta's cold weather. After that, we went to the other side of the building and discovered the butterfly garden. Again, we had a good time snapping pics of butterflies in various colors and species. These butterflies are so tame that they do interact with visitors. That was a really cool experience. Outside of the building is a six acre garden where you can have a picnic,or sit in the benches, or hang out in the gazebo. Enmax is the perfect venue for any corporate events or weddings.
