If you want the TL;DR version of my review, it is: Silver is an ethical, professional reader whom I highly recommend to anyone who wants help getting out of their mental ruts. The word "occult" is an old word that came into English from Latin via French. Its original meaning is simply "secret" or "hidden." That context relates nicely to the type of reading Silver provides. Our lives are complex and challenging for many reasons. Technology often pulls us away from deep thinking, and introspecting about our lives. So many things can be involved in a difficult situation or decision that a person can get overwhelmed and flounder through their life, as important elements get hidden from our conscious notice. Silver's readings are a snapshot of the present moment, related to whatever question or context you provide. The spread she creates, the cards drawn for it, and her -- and your - -interpretation of them provides a way to see the issue differently and consider new ways of addressing it. I met Silver online in a forum focused on a hobby we both enjoy. Free Tarot readings were offered and on a whim, I signed up for one. Silver didn't know me at all, and didn't even try to slyly glean information from me to use in her reading; she just asked me to select a deck, give her a question or focus for the reading, and then set to work. Her reading was clear and very helpful. It amazed me. Since then, I've become a frequent client, turning to Silver whenever I'm feeling mentally stuck or overwhelmed by a situation. Her readings are consistently high quality and professional. The custom readings she's done for me include one themed on the "Firefly" TV series, and another using a crow Tarot deck to explore personal elements of a cross-country, work-related move. My most recent reading was done on Zoom, so it was an interactive process that was also more fun. I view Tarot readings as a tool that can be useful in seeing a current situation or issue from a different perspective, offering a more objective context for it as well as possible ways to address it or achieve a goal. Fern doesn't live in my area, so communication was difficult -- she often didn't get back to me right away, and her process appears to take around three weeks to complete a resume after payment. I found her response rude and unprofessional, especially after I had already spent time communicating and providing my background. When paying several hundred dollars upfront, I think it's fair to expect transparency, courtesy, and timely communication. There are plenty of other career counseling services that charge far less and offer a much faster turnaround time.
