I cancelled two account due to bad customer service experience and long call wait times. I was told the equipment on the first account would be picked up June 23, then 25 and June went by and the equipment sat there waiting for pick up. On the second account, I was told the equipment would be picked up July 2 then July 3 and then today but the equipment is still here. All this time, even after I cancelled both accounts, they are still billing me and charging my credit card. I tried to remove my credit card info but the account website would not let me. After several attempts someone finally answered after 45mins of waiting for the next available customer assistant. Then passed around phone lines for another hour. I don't recommend this company. The deliveries are inconsistent. Only the first order came as scheduled. They just keep sending notices that it is delayed a day that ended up 1-2 weeks delayed. I wasted so much time putting the bottles out and pulling them back (cause we live in an apartment). I had to call several times to cancel cause they have high call volume and tell you to call back. Then I got charged the equipment rental fee cause it went to the next month before I could get a hold of them. I have been using this company for years back when they were still "Ozarka". The service was great and reliable. After they changed their name to "ReadyRefresh" things seemed to get worse for some reason. The first big issue I had was getting things added to my order and I wasn't able to reach anyone to get it resolved. Finally I happened to be home when the delivery guy came and I talked to him about it. It shouldn't take months to get an issue like that resolved. Now I am simply trying to find out why my credit card has a $6 charge that isn't on my invoice. There is no way to contact customer support reasonably. The chat bot is pure garbage. No good company would throw that thing at customers. You can find a web form to email support that they will say gets back to you in 2 days. Nope. It goes into a void. Now I am going to have to figure out how to cancel this service. I am tired of them treating me, a regular, paying customer like crap. Started with Ozarka and they we're good. Then a few yrs ago it became Ready Refresh and was still good until a couple of months ago. First the charged me a late fee even though I'm on autopay. And their lousy customer service never could or would explain how that could happen. Then my scheduled January 10 delivery was pushed out to the 11th. Then to the 12th. Then to Feb 10. This company forces you into auto pay by imposing frivilous late penalties of $20. They force auto pay so that the salesmen can bill for bottles dropped of whether needed or not. There have been times when we had 5 full bottles stacked up while we use only 1 per week. In addition, there have been instances where the bottles were dropped outside our office door outside of business hours leaving exposed to potential theft. I have submitted notice of termination of services in writing along with request to schedule retrieval of current empty and full bottles. No response. I have also requested a paymet link so that I will not incur additional late penalties while check is mailed through USPS. The link provided did not work. I have requested a working payment link with detailed instructions multiple times with no response. Although it is super convenient to have water delivered monthly (especially as I live on the 3rd floor of an apt complex), I canceled because the customer support is a HUGE pain to deal with and results for issues raised (most importantly, refunds) takes months, multiple phone calls, a stupid amount of explaining over and over to ever be resolved. They charged me for a service that was included in my membership and put the refund as a credit on my account with them (not my bank account), which would have been alright had they used that available credit to cover the cost of my future deliveries.....but they didnt. My bank was still being charged while that credit just sat on my ReadyRefresh account. It took 3 phone calls and multiple months to get it resolved. The reps couldn't explain why it was happening. I don't even think it's the reps fault. I don't think the company trains them well, if at all. Next, I received an email from them in July saying the prices were going up and realized I couldn't justify the cost anymore. I sent an email to cancel my account and was offered a $30 a month credit for 6 months to remain a customer. I'm lazy and this was an easy solution...so I thought. I should have known better. Instead, I accepted the offer and figured I'd just cancel in 6 months. The first month, I had to call because the credit wasn't applied. The second month, the credit was applied but my bill was double what it normally is. Why, you might ask?? I called and they explained the prices of the 5 gal water and the del fee DOUBLED...without them giving me any notice! The notice in July said the cost was going to go up $1.5 per 5 gallons, and the del fee was never mentioned....but now all of a sudden everything is doubled. Again, the rep couldn't explain why this happened. In the process of getting the cost adjusted, I realized they charged me another fee (for the dispenser) of $19.99 when it was always $2. I was told I'd be receiving a refund but who knows if or when it'll happen. When I never had any issues, having the service was super helpful. This company deploys several deceptive tactics that I don't like. First, after about 6 months of service they try to go up in price and you have to call over and over to discuss with a live person which does take considerable amount of time to do. Second, nowhere was it disclosed to me that once I terminated my service I was going to be charged a $50.00 reconditioning fee for the dirty, used cooler they gave me. This also doesnt set well with me since I was not informed about this upfront. Third, their customer service is horrible, its extremely difficult to get to a human being to get answers from. For these reasons, I regret using them and would not recommend them to others. I have spent three weeks trying to cancel and have them pick up the NINE 5gal bottles plus the cooler with nothing happening.
