I worked in a boutique in the Sendero Marketplace where many Reata Glen residents would walk to enjoy coffee and shopping. I enjoyed getting to know many of the residents and am so impressed how ever single one loves Reata Glen. The residents rave about the facilities and people. I can't think of a happier bunch. My folks are in assisted living on the East Coast. I've been through and understand the very emotional process of finding the right place for your loved ones. Looking for a new home for my Dad, we set out on a journey. 3 years ago my Dad had to move my mom to a home for her fast growing Alzheimer's. My Dad was extremely sad but ready to leave his home he shared with my mom ( bride of 59 years). We looked at 4 different places for him. Reata was more than we had expected. The grounds are beautiful the options of activities and restaurants choices are awesome. Living here is like living in a 5 star resort. The staff is amazing . We definitely had some setback with Covid, but Christy Farris and Mary Rose are nothing short of extraordinary. It is awesome to know that my Dad is really not alone , they are all there in times of need for him. We are now going to move my mom after 3 years to Reata Alzheimer's home " The Orchard's". Before moving in, what stuck out to me about Reata Glen was the concept of being able to transition seamlessly from living here in the new apartments, and if necessarily, to transition easily over to The Orchards, where there is assisted living. Aside from that, the thought of moving into a community where I could be around people my same age was a selling point for me. When I got here I quickly realized how enjoyable it was to meet and socialize with new friends. I was immediately impressed with how beautifully Reata Glens elegant mission style architecture is, and how perfectly it fits in with the rolling hills and orchards. Upon entering I was overcome by the beauty of the interior architecture and design. The staff are helpful, and residents are very friendly. I was impressed by the many options of living quarters and locations when my choosing my home. I look forward to my time in the dining room daily, not only for the delicious food, but also for the welcoming residents and great service. There are many different choices on the menu, that keep it fun and interesting. The quantity is also great. The activities are endless here, there is not enough time to get to all of them. Ready Glen is an incredible place for the right people. The residents are amazing. They are friendly and supportive people. The employees are wonderful. They care about the residents. The Director, Suzanne, is professional. We were "pioneers" at the retirement community. We lived there for 2 1/2 years before moving out. Their current advertising campaign says "Reata Glen- where your nest is protected! " HOLY COW! We LOST more than $300,000 upon moving out of Reata Glen a year ago. The marketing staff was totally supportive as we went through the phases of deciding, moving, and settling in. Nancy, Kari, and Christy of course were key players, but support by Alyssa and Lyn was important too. We knew Kari and Christy were busy with subsequent move-ins, but they still jumped in and helped us with minor issues. Christy continued to call us once in a while to check in and remind us of orientation meetings. As we are settling in, we feel well supported by the operational departments (Plant Ops, EVS, Safety) as well. There seems to be a Reata Glen style that we really appreciate. I came to Reata Glen wondering if I'd like it, and I did immediately. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, that includes both residents and staff. There was very little adjustment that I had to make when moving in. The lifestyle here is incredible. It's very freeing, you don't need to worry about property taxes, gardeners, or utilities. Everything is included. The activities are great. You can do as much or as little as you'd like, there are various clubs, exercise classes, and lectures. All in all, I am so happy I made the move. As a newly retired couple, we were living in our townhome, that wasn't in close proximity to our dear friends. We realized we wanted to be closer to more people, & we wanted to create more relationships. Our daughter told us about Reata Glen, and we decided to check it out. We fell in love with the property from the moment we first came. It's like a cruise ship that never sets sail, and we love a good cruise. The people here are delightful. Reata Glen has name tags for the residents to easily learn everyone's names. A suggestion I would make would be to make the font bigger on the name tags. The location of this property is great. The proximity of everything is close by. The beach, malls, hospitals, etc. Langston & Andrew are both servers in the restaurant and are delightful. The food is initiative, and there is a wide variety of options for dinner. I would say at times the service seems to be uneven. We've been to a few shows since moving in only five months ago, and they have been excellent. Their events have great quality, and the entertainment has been wonderful. read more

Before moving in, I was living alone and felt I should be planning for the future - but in the future. I didn't think I was ready for the "old folks" home. At a friends insistence I came to visit Reata Glen. Almost immediately I knew this was the place I wanted to be - and not later. Everything about it felt comfortable. What impressed me the most were the people. The people here are so friendly, sociable, and kind. They make an effort to go out of their way to welcome the new residents. Residents you've never met before greet you and introduce themselves everywhere you go. There are lots of activities to do here, more than I can fit into my day. There's a wide variety, an option for everyone. The exercise classes are challenging and can be a great workout. However there are classes suitable to a variety of different fitness levels or interests. The food is exceptional. The dinner menu changes every evening. This keeps the residents interested and lets us have a wide and varied menu from which to choose. And, on top of all that, it is a comfort to know that if or when the time comes that I will need more assistance, there is a wonderful support system in place. read more

After living in Reata Glen for a little over 60 days now, and starting to feel like I am settling in, it has felt like the right move for me. I've never lived anywhere that has felt more welcoming by residents and staff. Everyone is kind and so friendly. For example, a few weeks ago I had an emergency that kept me in the hospital, and I was unable to tend to my pets. My neighbors stepped in without being asked and selflessly took care of my animals for 4 days. The healthcare staff took care of me every step of the way during this emergency. When I returned home they were continuing to follow up, making sure I was recovering, and bringing me meals. The activites here are great. As an active women, the fitness classes are something that really stuck out to me, and I am very much enjoying them. There are different activity options such as excursions, and outings which I appreciate as there are many different ways to stay busy and spend your time. I love the community app which has everything Reata Glen offers digitally. This app shows you all of the different possible activities for every hour of the day. This app is very helpful for you to get acclimated within the community, whether that's with the dining options, activities, or the residents. I like that the app offers the "resident directory" that helps you learn more about each resident. As someone that is gluten free, I appreciate that every ingredient is listed on the menus, and that there are options for me. I find the food decent and healthy. read more

As we age and try to catch up to our parents we see the importance of care and comfort for us all. My family spent years in preparation to find a home for our parents. My father moved in earlier this year and all I can say is THANK YOU Reata. If you are looking for a home, where you know you or a loved one will be taken care of with a concierge level of service Reata is the place. I sleep well at night, knowing my father is living the fullest life, in a community which is beautiful, fun, filled with great residents and even greater workers and has tons of 5 Star amenities. My father is able to drive, play golf, travel and more, but when he slows down, Reata will be there for him. I will say that during COVID I was quite concerned (I am in healthcare) about what measures and precautions Reata would take. Knowing the statistics and figures for other facilities and communities Reata stands out as least affected, in large part because of their commitment to safety. Reata clearly has an advantage in how great it looks, as it is brand new. The grounds, restaurants and facilities are immaculate and impressive. The only 1 thing I can say they can improve upon, is better golf cart parking. And I guess having a golf course would be awesome too. Christy has been one of the most amazing point of contacts for my family. I think she has taken every call of ours, at all hours. If you want a place for yourself, or a loved one, and want to feel as if your family is with you 24 hours a day, choose Reata. The cost may make it unattainable for some, but for those who worked hard, and deserve the best, Reata is the clear choice. To Reata, please continue to take care of your residents and great staff, from Christy, to the food servers, landscapers, nurses and even gate guards. I visited Reata Glen before it was built when searching for a new home. A Continuing Care Retirement Community was not for me at the time, plus it was several years before any homes would have been built. I attended several marketing events (lunches) after that. It turned out to be a beautiful community. I recently received a flyer for a marketing event. I called to RSVP. I was told by the woman (whom I won't name here), that I attended several events before and that she did not get a feel about what I wanted. "You attend and leave. You do realize that you can only live here in Reata Glen. If you need assisted living (The Orchards) then it is too late. I want you to understand that." The woman emphasized that over and over. I said that my neighbor's father was admitted to assisted living never having lived at Reata Glen before. She said that was because The Orchards has open beds and later when the Reata Glen's residents need the care then the beds will be full. I said thank you and hung up. She was rude. This woman has no business dealing with people. They also have inconsistent policies. She said that we cannot get in unless we buy into Reata Glen. If you need a higher level of care, like The Orchards, then you cannot. Well, I know someone who did so don't lie. read more

My family and I started researching homes for our grandfather. We came upon this community, took a tour, and I was amazed! We met with Eric Payton, who gave us the best tour. The grounds are stunning, the amenities are luxurious, it almost felt like I was in a resort! I moved to Reata Glen one year ago, when I moved in I didn't know a single person. I was just enamored with the location, the weather, and beautiful scenery and landscape. Everything was so clean and kept up well. I purchased my apartment in less than 2 hours before trying the food. I can not believe how lucky I am, every department of Reata Glen and The Orchard took care of me in any way they could, I don't have to worry about anything. I love the food here, they offer a great variety of food and easily accommodate changes and substitutions. Not only does the food taste good but the quality of the ingredients are top notch. The cleaning staff are helpful too. The other day when I was changing my clothes I accidentally dropped my pendant on the carpet, the safety department called me immediately. This makes me feel at ease and I am relaxed knowing if something were to happen to me someone will come right away to help me. To top it all off the people who live here are so friendly, everyone helps each other like a big happy family. I feel like I am living in heaven. I truly believe that I don't have to worry about anything anymore. I have very loving and caring children that visit me often, I love my family so much and I think that moving to Reata Glen is the best way to tell them I love them. I went to visit friends of a friend at Reata Glenn for lunch in 2018. The very kind husband took us on a tour after a wonderful lunch. I was very impressed with the facilities which were still being developed. The architecture and design were superb. The food was top notch. The designs included space for just about everything a retiree could want. The only thing that we felt was missing was a chapel/reflection room. We felt that even a small special space was a very important to residents and visiting families. A well balanced life not only includes physical, social, and mental but also spiritual nourishment. read more

What can I say. 5 star on all levels. After my mom passed I was looking for a place for my dad. We went to 12 different places and this was the only place i was going to allow him to live. On all levels from staff to accommodation to the activities offered. After being married for over 50 years starting over is scary on all levels. After only 2 weeks he is happier than I have seen him in years. He is making friends, doing activities, and learning new skills. The residents are friendly and warm to everyone. He feels comfortable safe and most importantly happy. It's the best decision we could have made. Anyone who has doubts I'm here to tell you this is it. He has found his forever home !!!!! read more

Started doing some research for my parents' future and saw this new community, had to look into it. We scheduled a tour and the grounds were lovely, we had a very informative tour and so far this place sets the bar. The staff we met were kind and helpful, the buildings are beautiful, it really felt like a resort in a way. I also feel reassurance knowing that they have a modern health center on site. Our experience with Reata Glen has been exactly what we hoped it would be. We enjoy the food far too much. I find myself eating much healthier since I don't need to prepare it. The people have been so nice. The activities, the game room, so much fun. The grounds are beautiful. Best of all we had back up when we did have a medical situation come up. We have had an interest in Reata Glen for some time. Although we don't plan to move there right away, we will at some point. We took a tour yesterday and the facilities are very nice and everyone was friendly and professional. Judy Stevens, our Senior Sales Consultant, took us on a tour of the homes that we had an interest in today and it really helped us identify and prioritize a list of homes for future consideration. I moved into Reata Glen in the height of the omicron variant covid cases. I became aware of the staff shortage here right away and was prepared to experience some inconveniencies. I quickly learned that the amazing staff here would do anything to help me adjust to this new chapter in my life. I witnessed them going way beyond their particular job, pitching in to help each other, providing a pared down cleaning service, helping the restaurant servers by waiting on tables, washing dishes and responding to residents needs to adjust living at Reata Glen. In short, there were no real inconveniencies. I'm especially grateful to Christy who became a maintenance, security, dining, cleaning, technical, and activity expert. She came to my apartment several times to help me navigate the touchtown system, encouraged me to attend "The Reata Glen Presents" meetings, made sure I knew how to order dinner and helped me get my internet installed. At the "Club Fair" she introduced me to another new resident that she thought I would like and that resident and I have become "Best Friends." I have seen Christy interact in her usual positive way with staff and residents and she has made me confident that I made the right d ecision to move to Reata Glen. read more
