What an inspiring class! I went to art class with a couple of my friends for a fun New Year's activity. The location is easy to get to, tucked away inside the Windy Hill Center. Plenty of parking, and I had an errand to run at the post office next door anyways, so that worked :) . The space is bright and clean, with plenty of windows, a beautiful carpet/tiled floor, and very colorful. Great for an art studio! Her artwork covers most of the wall space, from fun beach scenes to her more serious artwork, and it's like eye candy for anyone remotely artsy. Rebecca herself is the heart of the lesson. It's obvious that this is what she loves to do! She is so knowledgeable, and we had a great time talking about my favorite methods and recent interests, and she wants to show me some new techniques I've been itching to try! The class was well-planned (we did a lesson with "batik" materials), and she handled all of our questions and led us through the lesson, encouraging us to use our own personal taste. At one point, my friend thought she'd done something wrong, but with Rebecca's help, the tiny "mistake" had turned into a beautiful part of the overall piece! At the end of the class, we had a show and tell of everyone's finished product. It was so interesting to see how different each piece was, even though we had followed the same instructions! We got to get to know the other students better, too! Always great to meet other artists. All in all, it was a wonderful class, and I can't wait to go back! Rebecca said she'd plan a class where we can bring our pieces we haven't finished or are stuck with, and she'd help us "get started finishing!" It's a perfect class for me, with as many unfinished paintings as I have haha! read more

Rebecca is a knowledgeable, enthusiastic and sincere art instructor. When my paintings are going in the wrong direction, she finds the most creative ways to help me transform my work into something I'm proud of. She inspires her students to do great things and it's obvious to me that she loves her work. Her art trips to Europe are phenomenal with meticulous planning creating joy and wonderful memories. She is a highly trained artist and her personal art work is fabulous. read more
