This is by far one of the best spas I've ever been too. The overall look of the spa is so charming that you instantly feel right at home, and the people are amazing. I had a facial and my esthetician was Sandy. She is incredible!! Sandy is the sweetest, and she took me through step by step what she was putting on my face and taught me techniques to help stop breakouts. I highly recommend her! I also loved the products that they use at Recoop. The brand that was used during my facial is called Jurlique, and I now want to buy everything that was used during my facial. It's all organic, smells amazing, and you can really feel it helping your skin. They also use the brand Intraceuticals for other facials, which is a top skin care line that celebrities like Madonna and Kim Kardashian use. Another thing I thought was interesting was that they asked me what kind of music I wanted to listen to during my facial. Let me first say, I did not make this transaction easy. I had 17 people, various services needed, not sure on the date. Grace totally made this day happen without one flaw. I got the Superwoman (shellac) Manicure and the Heeling Therapy pedicure with Christie. I really enjoyed both services! My heels were in bad shape and the pedicure seemed to do the trick. The pedicure included a paraffin dip, scrub, and a mask. It was just what I needed! It was a little pricy though, compared to what a pedicure would cost at a normal nail salon, but I was in the mood to splurge. It was very relaxing and I loved the ambiance of the spa. Though I probably won't be going to get my nails done here every month, I will definitely be back again - I want to try some of the spa services! They are so ridiculously accommodating! My friends bday is around Christmas so it's always hard to get in places to celebrate. They juggled their schedule around to fit 6 girls in at the same time for the services we wanted and everyone was done around the same time! One of my friends kept on messing up her nails, and they fixed it time and time again! And they happily took pics for is numerous times! Prices are very reasonable especially for a spa in Bellevue! I was originally set to write this review on my birthday, which was on Tuesday, but I am finally doing now. Talk about being busy, right? :p Alright, kids, let's read Charlee's famous long written novel, review! You ready? Well, I was at the friggin spa for three hours! So, what do you expect??? I write a crappy, short, and lame review? You gotta be dreaming! Anyway, this was my first time going to Recoop, as my awesome husband had set me up to this birthday surprise, I just went along and went to this cute shop. At first glance, when I entered, I felt very welcome, which I first thought I was going to have my manicure and pedicure done. But the front desk lady had set me up as it's expected to start on such service (?), I guess. I wasn't sure what I was set up for, so I just went with whatever she had told me that I was scheduled to have done. So, I was set to change to the locker room and went to the waiting room, then fill up the paperwork, that almost felt as if I'm writing a book novel. Yup... paperwork. Gotta cover each other's asses, right? I first started with a massage service with Natalie, she is super adorable!!! Little, but mighty strong ass-kicker on the massage, I must say! The thing I love about good masseuse, they ask your specific needed area, that they should be more focus on. Natalie did that, and she made sure I was comfortable as well. After a good 60/90 (I think...lost track of time, after falling asleep during the massage. Lol) mins of massage, I was then handed over to Grace, who does the facial magic! Not sure if she's the only one that does facial, but I do think she's the owner of the spa also. Based on people's reactions, I'd assume she is. :) That was my first time ever having a facial done, where she did the peel and all that funky stuff they do. Now, mind you, I was a bit nervous, as I have read MANY mixed reviews about facial peel, so I made sure I addressed it to Grace about my expectations. She made sure I was well aware of whatever she was doing to my face and what she was putting on my face. I was very nervous at first, because I have a very sensitive skin, especially on the face! But Grace made sure I was comfortable with the things she puts on my face, and what magical stuff she applied onto my face. Every step was properly mentioned during the entire session. She even gave me a bit of a warning of what might happen, if I don't carefully take care of my face. Anyway, I'll spare you this part of the details, because I think you just need to experience it yourself. For me was good, I had a good experience, I wouldn't say great...as it was my first time. However, I didn't liked it when she applied tea tree on part of my face, especially below the nostrils. The smell was VERY strong, and I didn't enjoyed it very much. Supposedly it's good for me, after the blackheads removal (??). After all this service, I went to the locker room, to clean up, in which I thought I can use some shower to clean up a bit. BOY the shower was monkey tricky! For the life of Ogur, I couldn't figure out how to get the damn water to come out! Five minutes into the trying, I gave up, and went to my final part of the spa and got my pedicure done. In the end, I walked out of the store, as a new, polished, birthday girl...WITH A PARKING TICKET!!! I had really high hopes for my experience at Recoop Spa. I went to Recoop with my bridal party the day before my wedding to get a manicure and pedicure. The salon environment was both inviting and attractive, and I really enjoyed my pedicure. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about my manicure. I already had shellac polish on my nails, which the manicurist was having difficulty removing. When I first sat down with her, I was explicit about my desire to keep as much length on my nails as possible. The technician was having difficulty removing the existing shellac polish, and after unsuccessfully using acetone and the arched metal scraper to remove my polish, she (mostly) filed the color off of each individual nail. That would have been fine had she not first clipped ALL of the length off of my nail as a way to circumvent needing to file the polish off the tips of my fingernails. One of my nails was broken, and I asked the technician to place a generous coating of glue to ensure that it didn't break again. Not only was enough glue not applied, but the nail was left jagged, which is less than ideal when my wedding dress was all lace and subject to being easily snagged. Furthermore, the polish on two of my nails wasn't even taken to the edges of my nails, and the red polish previously on my nails was not removed in its entirety, and showed through the light pink color which was applied. With my hands being so heavily photographed the next day, I all but cried in the spa at how badly my nails looked. I was willing to pay a high price for quality, but that isn't what I received. After leaving the spa, one of my bridesmaids promptly reached out back to the spa via phone to communicate my discontent with the lacking quality of the manicure I received. The receptionist placated my bridesmaid's concerns, took down my contact information, and assured her that I wold receive a follow up call from the owner. A follow up was never performed. In summary, I received what is honestly one of the worst manicures at Recoop Spa that I've ever received. At the worst time possible. Had I known that the manicure I received would be so subpar, I would've had a manicure done at my local salon where I can rely on the quality, and pay a third of the cost. Was Recoop a terrible experience from start to finish? Absolutely not. But if I could offer one recommendation it would be this: Don't go there to get your nails done the day before your wedding. That is unless you don't care about how they look on the biggest day of your life. read more

I totally love the atmosphere at Recoop. The modern rustic decor is so cute and friendly. Jennifer and the rest of the staff are completely wonderful and their work is great. Prices are a little high but in comparison to the rest of Bellevue it's not a shock. Photos attached of my nails are three weeks after shellac application and they still look great - and I am not nice on my nails. Booked an appointment for the missus on our anniversary trip to Seattle earlier this month. I found Recoop on Yelp, and decided to call in advance to get the lay of the land and scope it out before I committed. Spoke to someone who was very nice to walk me through the ABCs of spa'ing. Not only was she very warm and enthusiastic, she assured me that she would personally take care of my wife from check-in until the completion of her services. After my consult, I decided to book a relaxation massage, followed by a mani/pedi (please excuse my lack of spa vernacular, as I am a guy's guy). After a romantic lunch of freshly caught seafood, I dropped off my better half at Recoop while I snuck off to a sports bar to watch a basketball game. Although I am no connoisseur of spa establishments, I was struck by the chic vibe and hip decor. I found myself thinking that if I were a chick, I would really dig a joint like this. I made a reservation for a package service a month out for my birthday. When I got there i started with a facial with Natalia who is awesome. After that I had a massage and man-pedi I was looking forward to. I waited 1 HOUR in the relaxation room before the masseuse was ready. She must have been double-booked. I planned my day around the three hours I was told it would take so I couldn't stay for the remainder of the services after waiting an hour. Was recently in town for a quick visit and was again able to stop by this great spa with my girlfriends! Fortunately I had some time to burn so I got a facial, massage and mani-pedi. Absolute BEST service all around! From start to end. Loved my mani-pedi, it's been a week and my nails still look perfect! When my friend and I heard about this place, we wanted to go ASAP. It looked so cute from their website and we were in the market for a new "nicer" go-to nail place, even if it meant driving across the lake. Seeing it on Gilt City sealed the deal, and armed with our vouchers, we made an appointment for Friday night. The place is REALLY beautiful. We both loved the rustic touches on the decor, the ambiance was lovely and the place smelled really pretty. The fact that we could choose our music was a huge plus as well. Oh and bonus points for wine! Sadly, the actual nail experience was pretty mediocre. We both got pedicures and upgraded our voucher manicure to shellac. The pedicures were pretty good - the chairs were comfortable, we liked the scrub, although foot massage was pretty lacking, especially compared to the cheapie nail places we're used to. My tech wasn't super friendly, but that's ok when I have wine and my BFF next to me. Then we were off to get our manicures. Mine was fine, although I did not get a hand massage, not even a few seconds of it. (I didn't realize this until I saw my friend getting one). My friend's manicure took much longer than mine, despite starting at the same time, and it still ended up all weird and bubbly and missing "shiny polish" in many places. I have checked out many spa and nail salons and have yet to see one that is of this caliber. Every single one of my clients that I have sent over, absolutely love this place. I am also in the beauty industry so listen when I say that I am pretty particular about customer service to quality of service. I came here with my bridesmaids to get our nails done before my wedding and it was fine. The lady that did my nails was gripping my fingers kind of tight and at one point kind of digging her nails into my fingers. The manicure and pedicure itself were fine and the ambiance there is nice. I went to get eyelash extensions here recently and was not too happy with my lashes after. I showed the technician some pictures of what I wanted and she looked at the picture but didn't really tell me too much about what kind of lashes or curl she would be using. When she was finished, I was a bit underwhelmed. It wasn't very noticeable that I had my lashes done mainly because they were going in different directions and also not curling upwards. I asked her about it and the only thing she did was try to comb it upwards more with a brush, which didn't really do anything. I chose the regular eyelash extensions instead of the volume ones because I didn't want them to look too dramatic. I would have appreciated being told that it wouldn't look as voluminous as the picture I showed her if she knew that the regular lash extensions would be less dramatic. I also found that the lash extensions were shedding pretty quickly and that the extensions were glued a bit far from the base of my lashes. I admit that I'm not really a lash extension expert but I think one of the problems was that the extensions were too heavy for my lashes. read more

I booked an appointment yesterday for my stepmom and I to have massages. However, since there was only one massage therapist working that day (due to the other calling in sick) they had booked us back to back appointments with complimentary manicures so we wouldn't get bored just waiting for the other to finish! Well, it turned out that my stepmom had to cancel hers so when I arrived I wasn't expecting to get the free manicure. :( To my delight and surprise, Grace graciously offered to give me the manicure complimentary anyways! In addition!! I learned that since I live in the same building (Avalon Towers) residents get an extra 10% off! So the Ultimoot Massage and Manicure that I got ($95+$20 value) ended up being about $100 with tip included. I have the say my body feels wayyy better after that massage. However, Nena was a little unprofessional when she scoffed at my Fitbit telling me then about how her son refuses to take karate lessons because he's unathletic. But both ladies who gave me the services were great at what they were doing and it turned out okay. It would've gotten all 5 stars if it weren't for Nena's slight unprofessionalism in how she reacted to my having a Fitbit. I will for sure return again! read more

After my not-so-great experience I was pleasantly surprised to be contacted by recoop's owner, Grace. She graciously offered a "re-do" for me and I was really impressed my 2nd time around. I had an appointment for a Coop+ manicure with Juanita who was excellent. Friendly, efficient, great work; I would go back and make another appointment with her in the future. You can tell just in meeting Grace that she is very passionate and professional about her business - I respect that. With the ease of scheduling and location, recoop will be a business that I return to for those "must fit in" mani/pedi appointments. The staff at recoop is very kind. I was 15 minutes late for my manicure appointment and they still accommodated me even though they were busy. What's more is they were genuinely kind and happy to do so. No snarky attitudes and no rushing through my manicure, which I really appreciated! However, I got shellac and it chipped after just 2 days and completely came off in 1 week. I came here with a friend and she got a regular manicure which lasted longer so I will not be returning here for shellac services. I'm not sure if it's of low quality or what, but my experience with shellac at other salons is that it should last much longer - 2 weeks minimum. At other salons I've paid $20 for a shellac manicure that lasted 2.5 weeks and here they charge $38 and it only lasts for one! My friend was mostly satisfied with her manicure but did not think the design on her ring finger was very well done. The staff is nice and the atmosphere is pretty and relaxing, but my friend and I will most likely not be returning to recoop. read more

I saw Linh for a manicure and pedicure, about a week ago! I just moved to Bellevue and decided to try out Recoop after walking by. She did a fantastic job on both my toes and fingers. I chose the express mani/pedi with shellac polish. She was such a kind soul and was very aware of everything that was going on. My sister just moved up here and they have a cool membership program. My mani and pedi turned out phenomenal. They also have a nice selection of polish. From opi, Essie, smith and cult, and another more non toxic line of polish. Recoop also has massage and facial options available. The entire place was so clean and I really like that the entire nail area is open so you can see where your technicians are getting the products and tools from and what it looks like, this was beyond my expectations.
