As a year-round rider, with daily 40+ mile commutes, regular weekend excursions, and week-long adventure rides in the Cascades and beyond, Cycle Gear Lynnwood is my go-to shop for in person gear advice and purchases. Employees that work here are great! Always friendly, make me feel like "the customer is always right", and are well informed of company promo sales and return policies. Thank you Andrew and everyone that has helped me over the years!! Bought first set of riding gear here in 2020 - I was a bit overwhelmed with so many brands and styles to choose from. The young lady that helped me out was a fellow rider who knew from experience what types of gear would suit my riding the best (wish I remembered her name). I tried on many helmets and there are tons of options to choose from to fit any budget. If they don't have it on the shelf, the online options are great and were received quickly, with free shipping to the store. Overall, Cycle Gear's return policy has been fantastic. Had an issue with Hotwired heated gloves twice - with the brand's warranty, the shop replaced them both times without question. This has saved me all the aggravation of having to go to the manufacturer to try to replace them. Every time I've called the store, someone answers and takes time to answer my questions, give me options and resolve issues without having to "come in and we'll see what we can do". Thank you Cycle Gear Lynnwood for making in-store and online transactions simple and efficient.

However, as soon as I walked in the store a guys just shook his head before I could even say anything. It's very odd for them to treat e-bike riders this way, especially as I assume my son will continue to want to ride even on to his adulthood, which would make him a prime candidate to be their target audience. The shaking of the head and the way I was spoke to, makes it so we will not ever be back. If they really want to take advantage of their future clientele, they should at least offer suggestions on where to get help with e-bikes. That did not happen at all!

They followed my wishes on which ones to deal with or not, and it was ready when they said it would be. Overall had a very pleasant experience other than having to spend the money I didn't want to spend in the first place. But to be clear, that was not their fault just the nature of the service required and the motorcycle.

In the end, I found what I wanted and could afford at Lifestyles Honda in Burlington. WA.; a pre-owned 2018 Spyder RT Limited. I had a slight malfunction on the way home. I called Jake (my contact at Lifestyles) and he walked me through some basic troubleshooting. The following morning, they sent 'Super Rescue' Bruce with an enclosed trailer to pick up my Spyder. Note: I live far south of dealership in Monroe, WA. The shop found a weak battery, replaced it and updated the software. In the meantime, I had worked out a plan to pick up the vehicle on Friday morning. My partner is a bit ill but being a trooper, she would oblige the long trip to drop me off at the dealer. To my surprise and thankful glee, Bruce called me early this morning to say he was on the way to return the Spyder to our home. In my case, I must salute Jake, Bruce, Ron and the staff at Lifestyles Honda for their over-the-top service.

The whole transaction took about five minutes and I returned the following day to pick up the bike. They were very fair on price and there were zero hiccups. This is an excellent business and I highly recommend them. I could have saved a couple hundred dollars at two other dealers some distance away, but I want to keep my business local and Skagit has always treated me well. I purchased two Ducati's from them years ago when they carried Ducati. Not only were they great to me, but also honored a warranty issue to the fellow who purchased my second Ducati. Technically they didn't have to do that, but they did. Good people

They tore it apart and…read moreabout a month later told me the timing belt had slipped and the engine needed a rebuild. I had to question this as it only had 8k on it and had always been taken care of and not trashed. I was told this was a common problem with these and they typically needed a full rebuild around that time, and that they wanted 2100 dollars to rebuild the top end, plus whatever it took to rebuild the bottom end. I really couldn't accept that so I picked it up, brought it home, and took it to another mechanic I've been going to for 30 years. They typically don't work on fuel injection is why I brought it to skagit. They tore it open, found absolutely no issue with the timing chain or gears, no issues with the top end, put it back together, and then looked elsewhere. Turned out it was some junk clogging up the fuel pump inside the tank. They put it all back together and called me because body parts were missing. Turns out skagit had them and had forgotten to put them in the box with everything else. Mistakes happen, I get that. But to tell me I need to spend thousands on a top end rebuild? I can buy a big bore kit for 350. I know there's labor involved but that's a huge cost for a single, in addition to trying to get more money from me for a "posdible" bottom end rebuild. But to tell me to my face that these bikes typically need to be rebuilt before 10k? Yamaha makes a good bike and if there truly had been an issue with one of their well known and big selling motorcycles that resulted in a full rebuild that soon, they would've pulled it from the market. I have to say I'm truly not impressed with any part of this experience and won't be back. And after lying to me in what I feel was an attempt to get thousands out of me, I can't recommend them to anyone.
