My fiancée and I stopped at this pizza restaurant after our day trip to Columbia, Tennessee on May 18th. The day before this trip, I decided to start a gluten free diet; since my roommate and his girlfriend are doing it and they enjoy it. When I went to type in gluten free restaurants for Columbia, Tennessee, this was the first place to pop up on Google. The two workers who took our order were friendly and knowledgeable about what I should I get for my pizza. I got the Red 7 Pizza with a gluten free crust and a different type of sausage that doesn't have gluten in it. My fiancée got the Italian Pizza with pineapple. She enjoyed it! :) If we're ever back in the Columbia area, we will be heading to this location. read more

Great pizza, poor service. I order Red 7 online occasionally and they often forget to make it or wait to start until I arrive. Not a great choice when you are short on time. I have visited Red Seven a plethora of times, and have always been pleased with their service, atmosphere, and quality of food. I had family in town visiting and was excited to take them for the first time. This is a local version of Slim and Husky's Pizza (similar to a pizza version of Subway), where you order at a counter and pick your own toppings. Their pizzas are all individual sized and have such a great flavor. It's perfect for families and kids. They have a variety of bases, cheeses, meats, and veggies-- allowing each customer to choose from a few specialty pizzas or build-your-own combination. Today we made the mistake of visiting on Memorial Day. This was one of the few restaurants open after being out of town, and we were excited to support a local business rather than merely visiting a chain or fast food place. We walked in right at 7:00, exactly on hour before closing, which felt like enough time due to how quick their ordering process is. As we walked in, the two workers behind the counter loudly sighed and exclaimed "Oh great! I just cleaned all of this! This is ridiculous." The boy began to work on a to-go order ignoring us, while passive aggressively throwing items onto a pizza and grunting. He was avoiding any conversation with us, aside from an occasional glare. The girl stood behind him, staring us down. We stood at the counter for about two minutes before either of them acknowledged us. Nobody told us "welcome in" or even "we will be with you in a minute". I waited for someone to speak to me. Eventually the boy got out of the way and we were able to quickly order. Once we finally received service, it felt like we were a burden and the environment felt tense. We were out of the restaurant by exactly 7:30, with still plenty of time before closing. There were only four of us. I have worked in the service industry before and understand the frustration of people coming in right before closing or being rude on busy holidays-- but being rude to your customers one hour before closing just for walking in the door ruined the entire experience for myself and my family. My husband and I stopped in here for lunch and felt is was just like a Papa Murphys other than they bake it right there for you. There was nothing special or extraordinary at all about the pizza. The restaurant is clean, organized, simple and welcoming. The staff was energetic, friendly, attentive, and conversational. We got the Pauley and the Red 7 pizza, they were tasty and made fresh and very quickly. We enjoyed our meal together and it made me think of how Elizabeth Gilbert described pizza in Naples Italy in her book Eat Pray Love. The crust was thin, and crisp with a perfect chewiness, the sauce and toppings were fresh and the perfect addition to the phenomenal dough. We will eat there again. read more

Food was pretty decent. No complaints there. Our only complaint is with the bathroom. I walked in, and there was a large turd stuck in the toilet. Even tho i tried to flush it many times, it would not go away. And yes i mean a literal whole t*rd. A new friend introduced me to Red 7 last week, as I am new to Columbia and we met there for some dinner. I had taken a look at the website earlier but did not notice they were individual pizzas which is amazing. I have to say, I lived on the east coast for over 20 years and then was in Texas for 4 years. I have not had good pizza in over 4 years till NOW!! Red 7 was outstanding! They have many different sauces to choose from, I think 3 different pizza crusts to choose from and an array of toppings from olives to banana peppers to pineapple. They have all the meats and cheeses too! Most toppings are free, but extra cheese or meat it $2. They also have a make your own salad bar as well and then just the basic fountain drinks or water for your meal. I also saw a handful of specialty pizzas you can choose from. They made them super quick and man oh man, delicious!! I am going to make a point to go again this week, because: 1. I love pizza and 2. It was delicious!!. Don't listen to all the reviews from the gluten-free people. They're all from CA and like to find things to complain about. Im from CA, so you've just gotta take my word for it. This place was great. We love Viking Pizza, but it was closed so we decided to try Red 7. The pizza is similar to Pieology or Blaze if you've ever been to either of those. The ingredients are great, the crust is pretty good and the service is from teenagers who are all polite seem to be doing a good job. The price point is also great considering you're getting a pretty good pizza with any toppings you want for $12 and it's ready by the time you're paying for the order. My husband and I went here for dinner when we didn't want to cook, and just weren't feeling the chain pizza places... First off, the restaurant is pretty cute and has an industrial feel without being overdone... We each ordered something different. We got a "Paulie"- this pizza had: Sweet and Spicy Thai Saice, Mozzarella, Pineapple, Canadian Bacon and Chicken. It was so good- we did add red onion because, why not? We also did a build your own with Spicy Red Sauce, Mozzarella, goat cheese, pepperoni, bacon and red onion... they'll put as much as you want if anything! Both went into their ovens and were ready about 3 minutes later- they have small ovens that hold about one pizza instead of a large brick oven. We couldn't tell a difference in the bake. I have been a fan of red 7 since it opened but I think it's declining. I'm not sure what the problem or the fix is but it needs attention. First let me say I love the pizza here! We moved from Iowa to Columbia a little over a year ago and think their pizza is the best in town. It is a 5 rating; made fresh in front of you with all toppings of your choice & served hot within minutes. We started coming very regularly so I signed up for their rewards program with the promise of qualifying for free pizza along the way. A couple months ago I was told my next visit would get me over the free pizza threshold. Unfortunately they got a new accounting system & they needed to figure out how to transfer the reward points I already earned. It was a manual process but they assured me I had not lost my points and that going forward they would credit my purchases in the new system. Well, after another 3 or 4 visits I was told they still had not transferred the points yet. The "office" had been really busy thru year end. My visits on the new system showed I would get my free pizza on the next visit. That was this past Saturday. I was told with little empathy that they decided to do away with the rewards program & I was just "SOL." I know many will say just put your big boy pants on and get over it, it's a couple of free pizzas. I really feel devalued by the treatment given me and have decided to take a break from Red 7 and I will stop recommending them to my sphere of influence. Terrible. Red 7 has definitely taken a turn for the worst. I went with my family towards the end of the night to try some pizzas since we haven't had Red 7 for months, but little did I know how the staff would be. For most of the night all I could see was this blonde guy and kid with dyed hair working with all of those pizza for the customers. I did not know that there were other workers in the back until I could hear one of them making foul noises from what seemed like a break room. It was disgusting and I was waiting for other chattering families to stop and hear it to. Thankfully my kids were listening to kidz bop, but I was still very disheartened by the language I could hear. I understand these workers are teenagers too, but I was shocked by the unprofessionalism happening. Other locations downtown have such well behaved young workers, and I recall Red 7 used to have the same as well. The most shocking part of the night was when I heard this one boy who working with dark hair say what I thought was a slur towards one of his coworkat first I thought it was in my mind, but my husband looked at me as he heard it again. Half of the workers that night looked like they were burdened with most of the work, and other half seemed to just be their for a check and horseplay. This is not just a social hour, this should be a staple pizzeria in our community. One of people from different backgrounds and ages that at least know how to show decorum in what was such a fun spot as Red 7. Families make sure to take your kids to eat during the day, because at night, these workers become something else. read more
