What a great place to train ! I highly recommend The Wing Chun Kung Fu Organisation ! I have only been training with the organisation for three months and have learnt so much. Sifu Rick Spain is a living legend with a wealth of knowledge, he focuses on the smallest details, such a perfectionist. Not afraid of change, this system is constantly evolving, a mix of Wing chun, Kyokushin, BJJ, free style wrestling & so much more. Everything he teachers his students has been tested time and time again on and off the mat. An ego free environment where students have so much choice. As you progress through the first level, sparring classes are held twice a week, an extremely important part of the game. Ideal for beginners, advanced and seriously advanced and dedicated students. Mat culture is impeccable. Has the genuine feel and training spirit of a Kung Fu school of the golden age. Kung Fu here is continuously evolving and is complemented by kick boxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, grappling and Muay Thai techniques that beautifully follow the original teachings of the Wing Chun system. But without doubt the mats at Red Boat posseses the most a most challenging but rewarding mats I have had the privelege to train uoon. Sifu Rick Spain leads by example and all his seniors contribute to your growth and journey through and in the martial arts. I've been training here for close to 4 years now and this is what I can say about it: The classes won't just get you fit, rather they will challenge you to BE fit in order to keep up. You'll go for the martial arts skills, and take home not only that, but lessons for your whole life. In your training buddies, you'll find true friends. This is not your regular gym.
