Stopped by for a midday snack. We had shrimp tempura and spring rolls. The food was quite good so we ordered some sushi rolls. Their sushi is top shelf! I had a Sapporo. Our server was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean and the bathroom was clean. Handicap accessible with a parking lot in the back. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere was peaceful.

We order from Red Ginger often at work. I love their Bento Boxes. Nice semi-healthy lunch. I alway get the Teriyaki Chicken. It comes with a nice size white meat chicken, steamed white rice and steamed veggies of carrots, zucchini and broccoli with the Teriyaki sauce. Sometimes they even provide us with extra sauce. It is accompanied by tempura assorted veggies to dip in a sauce. Although sometimes it isn't much of an assortment. Last time I only received sweet potatoes. Still good. I love the tempura veggies. In the Bento box is also a small side salad, typical garden salad variety with a delicious dressing and two california rolls. I do wish you could choose a different kind of sushi roll with the meal instead of the California rolls. This is a great restaurant for large group catering. It always comes on time and the food is warm. I have never had any issues ordering from them.

Red Ginger was a great find, with great prices! It wasn't busy on this particular Saturday. We arrived about noon & we're seated promptly. Our server was friendly however the service was a little slow. The restaurant was decorated with Japanese paper umbrellas & lanterns hanging from the ceiling, it had a nice vibe, cool lighting & paint color too. There were three sushi chefs preparing meals in the open, surrounded by a bar with customer seating. There were also tables and half booths to choose from as well. We ordered one California Roll, one Shrimp Tempura Roll & an order of Cream Cheese Wontons. The front of the menu advertised Sushi Rolls 30% off, but on the restaurant window & on the paper order form it advertised 40% off rolls - it's 40% off. The rolls were nicely displayed with an orchid flower on a long platter. The size of the rolls were small but you still got eight pieces. The California Roll pieces kept falling apart - they were not as filled as I would expect, & it needed more seasoning. The Shrimp Tempura Roll had a lot of flavor & were very good. Gosh, you can't beat the price tho, $5.39 each! The wontons were wonderful, very crispy & creamy on the inside. The sweet & sour dipping sauce had good flavor but was thin. All in all a good lunch. I'll return to try out more of the 40% off sushi rolls!

The prices are a bit less -- not sure if or how long that might change. Small place inside and if they do anything at all, they need to stop having SO many menus!! They handed us 3 physical menus. One in color with pictures and two in black and white. Prices vary between them both higher and lower. Looking around the place, there were 3 more signs with more menu "special" items. They need to stop with the menus. It's so damn messy, unorganized, and they need to streamline communication to their customers. No one wants to get a headache trying to figure out 6 menus. The server was very hands off about explaining the various menus and even said "I just work here" -- yeah you do work there, exactly!! Learn how to answer questions, paid employee who wants me to give her my money in the form of tips. I had to work for my dollars why do some servers think they don't have to work for theirs? The rolls were fine. I didn't like their naruto roll very much (wrapped in cucumber). It's just overload there and too much going on for such a tiny spot. The need to organize and clean it up. The scallion pancakes were a bit oily but really tasty for something so simple.

This was the best tasting and the most creative, aesthetically pleasing sushi I have ever had. Our server was so sweet and nice. All of the restaurant staff was so friendly! Nothing will ever beat the prices! Amazing prices with high quality food, extremely hard to find but Red Ginger has done it. The miso soup is the only miso soup I have ever had at a restaurant that tastes exactly the way my (Asian) mom would make. The house salad was perfection, the best type of ginger dressing that exists. We had tons of sushi, which was out of this world. My friend had chicken hibachi which she loved. Next time I'm in Denver I will be coming back!! Will be thinking about this sushi for a while!

Red Ginger is within walking distance from our condo in Denver so we decided to give them a try. I'll start by saying we're very dedicated sushi connoisseurs. I don't mind paying top dollar for high quality sashimi/sushi. In my opinion, you get what you pay for and Red Ginger is no exception. Super low prices = super small rolls and lower grade sashimi/sushi. Don't expect top quality sushi @ a low price. Spring rolls and presentation were good although, service was slow with only two tables. Red Ginger isn't for me, but possibly a great price range for many.

I'm really conflicted about my thoughts on this place. I'd probably give it 3.5 stars but rounded up simply due to the price. Firstly, the rolls are very small. I purchased three and am satiated after consuming them, but I was moderately surprised at the sized (moderately because the price explained it). The rice was cooked decently, albeit lacking a bit of flavor. As for what I ordered - I would not order the Infiniti Roll again. It was doused in too much eel sauce, and normally I wouldn't mind too much but the eel sauce tasted burnt. I would also not order the spicy yellowtail roll again as it was a bit bland. I'm not too sure what I expected with this roll, as the flavor and texture strongly resembled that of spicy tuna. Overall, I'd likely come back. The food that I've had was not incredible, but it wasn't terrible.

This is my go to spot for my birthday with my family. I looove sushi, a few of them not so much. The bento boxes are a hit with my two youngest and my husband always finds something he likes on the menu. The prices are great - I do get a giggle out of their "sales" that are permanently printed on their menus We always have good service and have never had to wait for a table. read more

Pretty little restaurant at Broadway/6th. Lunch on a Friday was pretty special. Service was exceptional and the food? Fantastic. I ordered from the specials board, the 29th Roll, with garlic butter sauce, you've got to try it. I will definitely return. This was an important visit for me because I'm new to the Broadway area here, needed to establish a regular sushi bar, and 3 other places missed the mark. So Red Ginger, it's super nice to know you. This meritorious sushi spot is worth the downtown sidewalk hell walk - a jaunt chalk full of vagrants galumphing the city with a emphasis on the fent fold. But that isn't necessarily just this location, that's just all of Denver. After finding this gem on a Reddit threat, we decided to give it a try. Their ginger salad dressing is absolutely delightful, I wanted to buy it in bulk and take it home. The sushi has a shady marketing tactic of "40% off", but that's 40% off all the time. Temu vibes, for sure, but the sushi is fantastic and it's not that pricey. It ain't fancy in here, but the rolls sure are good. Great place to take your head of HR for lunch! read more

Horrible experience!! Ordered food and then called back within two minutes of ordering to ask them to take the sesame seeds off and they refused. I explained I am allergic and they did not care. Lost all my money and food! Awful way to treat people!! read more

Red Ginger always got a variety of options which makes it fun when trying out new things! I love the sushi and the best part? The deals are great! I went here for my graduation and for other celebrations, the service has always been good and the inside is always clean. The location makes it kinda hard to spot but I'm glad someone recommended this place to me, this is my to go to sushi place. read more

The food was beyond good. We ordered an absolute insane amount of sushi for about 8 people and it came out so cute, our server was the sweetest most attentive lady ever! She constantly kept our drinks topped off and made sure everything was tasting good. The ambience was cutesy, a little worn out but what isn't in denver, y'know! Definitely worth a stop! read more

We came in as a group of 6 just after 8 PM and were seated immediately. The first thing you notice is the amount of discount signs hanging everywhere - on the door, on their board outside, on the menu - seems a little odd, but I didn't think much of it. Most people in the group ordered sushi rolls with a couple ordering the hibachi steak. For $12, the hibachi meals are a good deal as they come with miso soup, a delicious salad, rice, and meat/veggies. There wasn't too much steak in the hibachi steak, but it was still an ample amount of food with enough to take home as leftovers. As a vegetarian, I stuck with scallion pancakes, a sweet potato tempura roll, and a cucumber-avocado roll. I enjoyed everything, but did find the hoisin sauce that accompanied the scallion pancakes to be a bit odd. The rolls were also really small, which I guess makes sense with the low prices. The presentation of the food was good, using fancy decorations like sushi boats and fake flowers. I guess my only gripe with the place is that they seem to present fake advertising since it's evident that the sushi is always 40% off, making that their normal price. If you're looking for a reasonably priced restaurant in Denver with decent food, you should come here. The sushi isn't going to be as high quality as some of the more expensive places out there, but you get what you pay for. read more

One of the few places on Broadway that actually has parking. Restaurant is pretty small but a good option for 2-4 people. Pricing is very reasonable. The rolls are very good. We only didn't like one of them (the mango one, I forgot what it was called.) Overall, it's a pretty good pick for sushi! read more

Sadly Red Ginger has regressed a lot on its sushi. We just spent $100.00 for the SMALLEST sushi rolls I have ever had in my life. Worth actually spending money on regular rolls somewhere else than here. **40% off means 40% of a regular sized sushi roll.** - We were even regulars before COVID and loved this place. read more

It was good! We went right when it opened and it was pretty empty. There was little interaction from the staff but the sushi was good. Good prices and delicious. It's close to my house and I have no complaints. Can't wait to go back for regular sushi dates with a friend read more

I must say it was one of the rudest experiences. I've had at a restaurant even though I did go to the restaurant 30 minutes before it was closing. I ordered something very quick and simple. They were very rude about it and at 9 o'clock they said to my friend and I can you please hurry up and finish eatingbecause we want to go home. as a long time, service industry employee myself I would never ever expect or say that to any customer/guest in my life. not to mention that the food was not what I had ordered !!!! I understand that people sometimes just wanna go home ,It's been a long day, but could've been said in a nonchalantly nicer manner !!! I would definitely not recommend this place just from the customer service alone. I will never be going back there. read more

Absolutely me and my friends FAVORITE sushi place to go to!! We go every other weekend the prices are AMAZING we literally got 3 miso soups 2 apps 3 rolls 2 large sakes and a sashimi platter for 80$ Super friendly service some of the rolls are a little bit small but that's to be expected with the phenomenal prices. Large variety on their menu really cool specials their miso soup is to DIE for great sake fresh fish adorable ambience I cannot recommend this place enough!! read more

This place is cheap, but truly just pay extra for the better food. Had to wait 50 min for my to go order. Extremely rude and confused staff. I watched 4 other people come in with the same problem even though the restaurant was completely empty. The food is plain and boring sushi. Definitely don't suggest coming here. read more

Chill atmosphere & cheap, tasty sushi - what more could you want? After our friends told us about the 50% off rolls deal all day, every day, my boyfriend and I were all about trying this spot. We came here with a group of friends and we all ordered a bunch of rolls, which we happily scarfed down. I wasn't crazy about all of the rolls, but my favorite was definitely the King Roll - it was a big roll topped with fried goodness - very filling & delicious. Everyone seemed happy with their orders & service was super fast & friendly! We'll likely be back whenever we're craving reasonably priced sushi nearby! read more

Decided to give Red Ginger a try because sushi rolls were 40% off! The sushi chef's were creative in their presentation and made it fun to sit at the sushi bar. Service was excellent too. Ambiance was relaxed, got to enjoy my meal and try something new like the sunflower roll that had kiwi on top which was very refreshing. Wonderful experience here, will be returning. read more

In general, it's been a laid back, go-to place to get a meal that will be much better than average for the price. I've been many times since before and after COVID, and it was one of my favorite repeatable spots in Denver. However, the crew totally dropped the ball with our visit today. My wife ordered a tonkatsu ramen and got a chicken tonkatsu set instead (chicken cutlet, not bowl of ramen). To not make it weird, we just let that one be for the greater good of the table because it was our anniversary, grandparents were visiting, and we are here often. Our hamachi kama (one of my favorite dishes in the entire city, normally something I'd highly recommend on this review) was never sent to the kitchen, leaving us waiting for over an hour with two young kids at the table who had finished 40 minutes before. I watched the staff's confusion from my seat, even after we had been told that it was on its way. It was never even started, and it was obvious. That stuff happens, but it's hard to hide what happened in an open kitchen where you can hear what people are saying. But then after they had the "oh crap" moment, it wasn't even expedited. It was gonna take so long that it wasn't worth getting, so two people had to leave our not-busy lunch without getting the main thing we brought them to Ototo for. We were asked to wait for the dish, waited 15 more minutes, and it was not even close to ready. And while I appreciated the apology, the manager initially just tried to "take the dish off the bill," a dish we never received. So he basically tried to do nothing because no restaurant would charge for something that never came out. After I pointed this out, they took off part of the check, but that attempt at nothing under the guise of a comp was crazy. I've easily spent thousands at Ototo over the years. I've sent tons of people to Kizaki, Temaki Den, and the others. This will probably be the last time I go to Ototo. If you read some of the recent bad reviews, something is not working here anymore. I hope the otherwise amazing service at the other Dens can find its way back to Ototo.

For our visit, I got: 1) Negitoro Don: -It's a minced fatty raw tuna mixed with green onion on rice. -I've had this before at a fancy omakase and after that I've fallen in love with negitoro. They close early so you need to put in your order before 8:30 p.m. They don't seat past 8:30 p.m. It looks like a lot of mom and pop Japanese restaurants that you would find in Japan. No I have not gone to Japan, but I watch a lot of videos about Japan due to being obsessed with the culture and the country.

For those not in the know, Chef Toshi Kizaki is one of the OG sushi chef in Denver, responsible for many great restaurants such as Sushi Den, Izakaya Den, Ototo Den, and Temaki Den. Both him and his brother, Yasu Kizaki, serves some of the best nigiri in Denver, and Kizaki has received a Michelin star in the past. The service at Kizaki is impeccable, starting with some pre-dinner drink at the bar, which they share with Margot, another Michelin darling. Once our table was ready, we were led back to our sushi counter in the back, which has been beautiful decorated with the fresh catch straight from Japan. From there, we were served some of the best bites in Denver. The dishes were expertly crafted and beautiful served. The chef even asked about our preferences and replace my wife's uni nigiri with a lobster nigiri, which was wonderful. Each nigiri bite was divine, and given the nature of service, I did not want to disrupt them with pictures and chose to just enjoy the moment. Honestly, this is the best omakase experience in Denver. It is expensive, no doubt, but it's the closest I've had in Denver to a true Japanese omakase experience. I would highly recommend Kizaki for any special occasion, though I would note that the place is frequently booked out so advance planning is a must!

Next was another small bite to lead into my next course, also incredible. Wish I could describe it. My next course was the European sea bass. Now, sea bass is my favorite fish of all time. The perfectly crisp skin, the red onion jam, the spicy sweet balance was perfection. I loved every bite. The olive oil potatoes were a perfect complement. And at this point, I was bursting at the seems... but I still ordered dessert, because you only live once and food is one of the great joys of life. For dessert, I had the crema. I recently stopped in and had an amazing experience. I tried multiple sushi rolls, and every single one was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Each roll had a nice balance of textures and flavors without being overly heavy. The service was outstanding from start to finish. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of without being overbearing. They came by regularly to check on us, refill drinks, and see if we needed anything else, which I really appreciated. It's always nice to feel like you're being looked after without having to flag someone down. The prices here are also very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. They offered some great deals on their sushi rolls, which made it easy to try a few different options without feeling like we were overspending. It's definitely a place where you get a lot of value for your money. As for the atmosphere, it's very easygoing and relaxed. The space isn't huge, but it's cozy and comfortable, with a welcoming vibe that makes you want to linger and enjoy your meal. If you're looking for the worst customer service ever - you're welcome to come to Red Ginger! My wife got me food from them before, and it was very delicious, but she had some problems ordering it last time, so this time we decided to go together. We placed our order, which was around $20, tipped the cashier another $7. After waiting for about 20 minutes, we started wondering where our food was, cuz it doesn't really take that long to make sushi right? So the little girl that we tipped $7 said it will be another 2 minutes. After another 5 minutes it wasn't even close to be finished, so we spoke to the manager, took our money back, and left. Instead decided to go to Asian Grill on 3rd and Broadway. Got our food done there in about 5 minutes and we were on our way. Orientals at Red Ginger seem to be working but white young kids who didn't even seem to be 17, at the cash register were the worst customer service me and my wife ever got here in Denver. I don't understand the mediocre reviews here - I suppose if you go expecting the equivalent of a $100-plus sushi restaurant (for 10 rolls), you'll be disappointed. But, if you want fresh, simple sushi for a very, very reasonable price, this place is great. I used to go to Katsu all the time for all you can eat sushi, but I've stopped, now I go here on a bi-weekly basis at least. It's not fancy, but for what it is, it's good, solid sushi. read more

Man, the people who love this place don't know beans about Japanese food! Yeah, this junk is cheap, but sometimes you get what you pay for. A real sushi chef spends years in training. The training these "chefs" have seems to encompass which end of the knife to hold. If you know and respect Japanese food, do yourself a favor and skip this place. Next the sign out front will say, "Sushi! $1.99 a scoop." read more

The menu is massive and has loads of sushi options. The chicken yakisoba is pretty good. The veggies were cooked perfectly and it had that classic flavor. It was a bit weird though, 'cause our main dish came out first and then the appetizer came out much later. When the wontons finally arrived, they were kinda small and tasteless, but the fried rice was really good. read more

Red Ginger is one of my favorite restaurants in it is consistently good and very reasonably priced sushi! The constant 50% off sale is a little off-putting, but I've been coming here for years and have only had great experiences. Free miso soup or house salad with two rolls of sushi and did I mention it's always 50% offd! read more
