This is a traditional country food pub. The Guinness is good. When I asked for bitter I was offering Worthington Creamflow. So they dint sell real ale. But the food is worth a trip . read more

The Red Lion is a traditional pub and top quality restaurant at the heart of the community, offering an excellent selection of real ales, beers and quality wines to complement a fantastic choice of home cooked food. So come along and enjoy a wonderful relaxed lunch, evening out or a few nights in the comfort of our warm and comfortable surroundings, where you will be treated to brilliant hospitality and a genuine welcome in the ambience of a traditional and unspoilt pub. Gordon and Marilyn have over 70 years of experience between them in the hospitality industry and have run many pubs honing their skills to help them create their perfect pub 'The Red' they have always had the vision of creating a pub where they'd like to drink and dine. No bad language (well not excessive anyway), a place where people can feel comfortable and safe, a venue where people can make and build new friendships with others and importantly embracing the local community. I can't reccommend this place enough the food is great quality home cooked and exceptional value for money, the front of house team provide you with a warm welcome and great service throughout your visit. And surprisingly for a village pub the wine was of a v.good standard and reasonably price.....definitely worth a visit, I'll be going back there again and again now I've discovered this brilliant community pub, also this pub was voted North Wales pub of the year 2014/2015 as well as the regional winner of 'community heroes award' for work within the community. read more
