We decided to have a late lunch at the Red Lobster, Metro Center and were disappointed. We have always had a great experience in the past. My grilled fresh salmon, did not taste fresh and the broccoli was over cooked. Normally it is spot on. My husband was in the mood for the shrimp cocktail, but they were out. So, he ordered the crab legs instead. The very nice server assumed he wanted the full dinner. It was a lot of food and he did a pretty good job. They did not have any crab shell crackers, so he had to use his hands. We ordered side salads, which were a $3.99 up charge for a bowl of lettuce, onion, shredded cheese and croutons. I gave it 2 stars as the staff are very nice. Based on the quality of the food and cost, I don't think we will be back. read more

The last time I did was this exact restaurant at 4802 East Cactus here in Phoenix and it was fine. Ok, I had a craving for some battered and fried seafood today, (I'm usually a sushi guy), and so In I went for dinner at my local Red Lobster. I ordered the Admirals Feast Platter and took a sip of my water. FIRST RED FLAG! It tasted....OFF. I asked my server who told me it was PROBABLY the water softener as it sometimes makes the water seem 'salty' or she said it COULD be from something to do with the dishwasher lines because "...sometimes when they are running the dishwasher it makes the drinking water taste funny." Ahhh...that's when I ordered a Pepsi Zero. Ok, moving on. My dinner salad came. It was fine. NOT OMG GREAT...but acceptable. Now for the main course. I remember the scallops being pretty decent in size but these were TINY, (...about the size of marbles) and they, as well as for the, shrimp flounder, clam strips where all cooked to the point that the batter was almost burnt. The baked potato was average but acceptable. Nothing to write home about for sure. It was supposed to have butter and sour cream but all I saw was a ton of sour cream. I'm a big pepper guy and they stick you with those serve yourself pepper grinders that give you MAYBE 1/4 Tsp of pepper if you twist the container top for 20 minutes or until you've achieved FULL CARPLE TUNNEL. All in all, I could only choke down about half of the meal. I took the rest home but probably won't finish it. So, there's $40 wasted. The only reason this place gets a 2 instead of a 1 is the friendly professional, attentive and honest staff. But even with that said, I'll NEVER set foot in here, or ANY OTHER Red Lobster again if this is the levels that they've sunken to. read more

They had the Endless Shrimp promotion going but it was $30. All the lobster dishes and most everything else was $50. I went for the Admiral's Feast because it had scallops. Big mistake. All breaded and deep-fried, and overly deep-fried. Clam strips were dry strings. Scallops were small and hard, not what I pictured at all. Choice of shrimp, but no coconut shrimp. I guess because they couldn't deep-fry them. The flounder was OK, but also breaded and deep-fried to death. Partner got the special with shrimp, then wished for the flounder special. Should've gotten the Endless Shrimp with just the Parrot Bay coconut or just a sautéed fish dish. Or for those prices, gone to PF Chang's or Pappadeux. read more

I've been going to this red lobster a long time and it's always great! Red lobster was my favorite restaurant as a kid so every time I graduated from something or wanted to celebrate we'd go here. I haven't eaten at a red lobster in years, but it was my favorite restaurant as a kid and it was almost a tradition for me to go during the month of December for my birthday. I decided to go this year and this was probably one of the best experiences I've ever had at a red lobster. Sterling was my server and he was absolutely fantastic. They had some holiday drinks and he recommended the "snow globe" -- it was really good and a pretty drink! I got the ultimate feast with snow crab, lobster, grilled shrimp, and shrimp scampi -- everything was perfect (although, I wish I didn't add the garlic butter on my snow crab legs as it wasn't needed). They also recently added Brussels sprouts to the menu and those were pretty good too! The biscuits aren't as great as they were a decade ago though. I'd def come to this location again! read more

First time EVER at red lobster and last. Waitress was great, margarita was typical happy hour drink. Mozzarella sticks and bread decent. Everything was going great UNTIL... a roach decided to join us for dinner. Immediately stood up and let our waitress know that we were no longer going to stay for dinner due to the pest on our table she apologized and said she'll grab her manager. Manager came out half asleep to half apologize did not offer to cover at least the appetizer. Felt terrible for the waitress and decided to pay for what we have already ate and drinks $25 and we tipped waitress since I feel like it's not her fault for that issue. There were two slivers of lobster and the rest were very small lagastinos, the size of very small shrimp. The sauce was good on it. I hate to badmouth this restaurant as I have always liked the food. This trip entailed a birthday dessert that I picked up. I chose the strawberry cheesecake. I love cheesecake but this one was one I disliked. I could taste salt. I do not like salt in any dessert. I love carmel but would never eat salted carmel. Same with cheesecake. Had I known it was a salted cheesecake I would have passed on this offer. Not only the salt but also the dessert had a strong taste of sour cream. I couldn't eat it as I felt my stomach churning. I am still feeling sick to my stomach after a few hours. I usually get my cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. I have never had any from there that tasted salty nor of sour cream. Their sour cream is a very thin toping and undistinguishable. I probably will still patronize Red Lobster since as I have reported above, I like the food there. Wish I could've rated the food but I never got that far I came in with my boyfriend to try some of the new items we've been hearing about since the new CEO took over and was really excited for some seafood boils but before we even sat down the vibes and attitude of the staff sucked we went around 7pm not even close to closing time (I'm a bartender and my bf is a server & it's always a little bit of a bummer when people show up close to closing right? so we try to avoid that) with that being said we pop in tell the host it's for two in which she takes menus and starts to walk us to our table where she tells the server Lou I think his name was that we were gonna be his table on our way over in which he tells her in front of us that he doesn't want to take us after taking a look at us so we walk back so she could see what servers section she could seat us at long story short Lou ended up having to take us anyways which at that point not thrilled about look I get it me and my bf are in our early twenties and I bet he's used to younger people stiffing him which would be my only explanation for his sour attitude from the jump but I hate bad server karma and tip 25% or more usually if ur nice or go above and beyond in any sense but he pulls up to our table takes our drink order the entire time is looking at his other tables made ZERO eye contact brushing us off and was giving I have better things to do rn then serve you which honestly? sure you don't gotta serve us if you don't wanna make money while ur clocked in that's your prerogative so we canceled our drinks and went somewhere else because the way I would've hated to leave him money from tips that I ACTUALLY work for & you would think at his grown age he'd know better guess not read more

We wanted to try it out since the new CEO took over. And I was pleasantly surprised. We went on a Tuesday and my daughter got the pound of crab legs for $25, which was amazing, and she was not disappointed. I just got a side of scampi and some hush puppies. I was not super impressed with the hush puppies as they were weirdly sweetish but they were still OK. I just like a traditional savory hush puppy. Lou and Kyle were amazing! We had a party of about 26 and the service was excellent! They were super friendly, had great suggestions when it came to the menu and were actually really funny. Kyle always made sure our water and drinks were refilled and Lou was always updating us on our plates since our party was rather large and it came out in segments. Couldn't decide on a place for our anniversary so my husband said, "Let's just go to Red Lobster!" It'd been about a year since we'd been and it was close by. Honestly nothing had changed since our last visit. There was a wait at 5 on a Saturday but a very short one. When entering they do hav3 a sign they are short staffed, please be patient. Sam was our waitress. She was nice, but not sure if she was overworked or just slow. We both opted for cocktails. A white sangria and a lobster rum punch. It took f o r e v e r to get our drinks. She brought water and I did hear her ask the bartender where her punch was after about 10 minutes. Husband ordered the lobster feast for $44. Rice and salad for his sides. I ordered the lobster stuffed flounder with baked potato and the upgraded brussel sprouts for $1.99 more. We finally get our drinks. My sangria was extremely sweet but my husbands rum punch was good. They do have some drink specials now all priced at $5 each. She brings two salads even though I didn't order one. She left it saying it'd have to be thrown away. Our entrees arrived in about 15 minutes after the salads. Everything was plated nicely and hot. My husbands rock lobster tail was huge but smelled very fishy. He ate the pasta and smaller split tail leaving the whole tail. The sauce on the flounder looked like the sauce on my husbands pasta but mine was extremely salty. Pretty small potato with sour cream only even though I asked for butter. We asked for cocktail sauce and never received it. The Brussels, they were five star. Crispy charred outside leaves, tender inside and that maple bourbon sauce I could drink. It's that good. Overall it was just a ok meal. Nothing really stood out (expect the brussel sprouts. $88 before tip I guess is reasonable since we did each have an alcoholic bev. It would have been $20 to go to McDonald's. Will we be back? They have a variety menus and daily specials as well. Food tastes fine overall. Join their membership and you get good offers there. For the exact same price you get a fine dining experience, amazing ambiance, excellent customer service and the food is just stellar. TRUST ME, just do it and you will be so glad you did. Although I don't live in the area and prefer my area of town, this location is my favorite!! We had an AWESOME experience at this Red Lobster on Mother's Day today!!! KUDOS once again to Red Lobster!! We got there close to when they opened, so luckily we didn't have to wait too long. It got crazy busy on Mother's Day, but service was still amazing and the cook NAILED the food, executing it perfectly!!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the brussel sprouts with the amazing flavors and fried onions on top!! I order TWO portions and take some home!! We have noticed that Red Lobster has jacked up the portions and the taste and the options on the menu!! We have had some disappointments in the past (years ago), but not any as of the past couple years!! They are rocking it and I am loving it!!! Red Lobster and I have at least a 50 year history. Celebrated my birthday at Red Lobster. I ordered the Shrimp Linguini Alfredo combo with coconut Shrimp. I had coleslaw as a side dish and added a salad, minus croutons. The Shrimp complimented the Linguini and so did the coconut shrimp. All were cooked to perfection. I also order a mountain dew as my drink of choice. My waitress, Rachel, was very welcoming and informative about the many options that could be chosen from the 3 different menus. The table I chose was a comfortable fit and the music playing above was playing at a level that didn't hault any conversations. The meal ended with Rachel bringing me a glass with ice cream and 1 candle lit in the center. That was really nice of her and her staff. My only negative is their famous dinner rolls were not good. The dinner rolls were dry and looked dry. Also, my soda had very little carbonation in it. If Red Lobster are not able to return the dinner rolls back to that original recipe, they should discontinue that feature. Besides all that I had a great birthday there and would stay a loyal customer. (Just would not have anymore of those dry dinner rolls.) read more

My wife and I took a friend here for dinner for her birthday. Service and food was ok but, two of us got very sick almost immediately. We both had the same thing (twin lobster tails). My wife had something different and she was fine. A couple days later we were still feeling ill effects and I called and advised the store manager. Arielle (may have not spelled it perfectly) at the MetroCenter location is one of the best servers ever. I was there with my mom, and we were celebrating (subdued style). Arielle was kind, sweet, and patient with us - mom was sure she had seen a commercial, but we couldn't match the menu to what she thought she saw; Arielle was helpful to recap the Lobster Fest options. She also was helpful and timely with the assist in helping mom pay at the table terminal. (I have to be careful, not to make mom think I'm trying to pay!)
