The VA sent me there to get my back and right elbow treated. The doctor or whatever he is, place…read moreneedles between my forehead, and everywhere in my body and said he was going to come back in 15 minutes and then do my back. He was gone for more than an hour. I removed the needles myself and walk out of the office as I was calling the VA to let them know what had just happened and the "doctor" followed me outside and said he forgot about me. The VA scheduler heard everything, thankfully. Immediately, I was sent to a different location and requested a report to ban this place and avoid sending other veterans there. Don't go there. He will put you to sleep and God knows what else he can do.

Very unprofessional. Ms.Yu is a crook, a swindler, and con artist in my opinion. She's figured out…read moreexactly how she can keep veterans coming to her and cashing lucrative VA checks. I was referred for acupuncture by the VA and this was selected randomly by someone at the national level of Tri-West. Issue one: I kept my appointments but could not get her to provide proof of visits for travel reimbursement. She claimed that that was my responsibility and that I should provide forms from the VA travel and not bother her because 'she's too busy for this nonsense'. Anyone who's familiar with the process knows the document comes from the vendor. Issue two: I was introduced to migraine headaches after being subjected to the overpowering mugwort smoke. I met other veterans who waited for their appointments outside and explained it was due to the smell of mugwort. I spoke with her about it affecting me, but only for a moment, as she has so many patients she attends to simultaneously, that she can't and won't stay in your room. So I called to say I had to stop coming. My sinuses were not able to recover between visits and I had migraines and other issues. She explained it was common and due to mugwort. We would not use it in my room, I'd be moved next to the door, she would stop using it before I arrived & while I visit and she would give me pills that would make me immune to it, but I must not quit coming!!! I agreed and returned to try again - thinking it would improve and I should give it a shot. When I arrived she did none of the things we discussed and told me she would not stop or reduce the use of mugwort and would not move me. She gave me pills to take that were a Chinese herbal remedy and I asked if they were safe prior to a heart surgery. She insisted they were the best and might even prevent me needing a surgery. (I laughed inside b/c I knew that was impossible for reasons I won't go into here) As my appt wound up she asked how I would pay for my pills and that I would need more pills. Pill schedule was 15-per dose @2 to 4X a day. I could pay $15 for my sample today or $45 for my bottle. She said the VA would reimburse me. I later found out the bottle was already opened and missing 1/2 the pills. It's going to sound crazy, but understand I was not in a right state of mind at the time. I was in some very serious medical issues and not mentally well. Basically I was vulnerable and ripe for the con. I bought the bottle only to be (thankfully) told to toss the pills as they could be fatal and of course not reimbursed for the pills. TriWest canceled my appointments and told me not to go back. They said they were opening an investigation but could tell me no more until it was completed. I'm hoping they cancel the contact and protect other people. That's my experience. I'm sharing it so others have knowledge and can decide for themselves.
