There seem to be many outdoor activities too but we had limited time so we could not explore further. We had a room with 2 double beds....not very comfortable and the pillows were awful. No mini fridge or safe in the room and no deadbolt on the door from the inside......essentials in my opinion. There was a balcony in our room but too cold to go out. Nice view of the sunset in the evening. It was very noisy as we could here people outside our room...as if they were in our room There are so many restaurants close by and we went skiing at a club about 25 minutes away.

Restaurants are quite far away. The only reason why I stayed here is because my company had our professional development training course here. From the airport to here is 1.5 hours. Shocking far. Food here or any food here comes from the same kitchen and are no good.

This hotel looks newer which is really nice to see as most hotels often have been around a while. The interior welcomes you with a nice spiral staircase to the next floor. (you enter on the 2nd floor BTW). There is a bell at the front desk if no one is manning the area. The rooms are nice with a sitting area and bedroom area. there is one TV that can be faced into either area for viewing and a nice little wet bar with fridge. One the first floor you will find a spa along with the pool and workout room. The machines in the workout room look very dated and only one treadmill seemed to want to work. In the same parking lot is a Boston Pizza so you don't have to go far for dinner and the hotel serves complimentary breakfast in the morning. The really nice part is that they have real eggs, not powdered or preformed ones you find in other places. From the hotel you are short drive to shopping and restaurants. And if you like to take long walks/hikes the preservation area is close by. You can walk the trails for free but if you want to park it's $5. They will take US currency on a 1 for 1 exchange or the front desk will exchange small amounts for you. Internet seems to work pretty well with few issues. Overall I am pleased with this hotel, and having never stayed at a Best Western I may not overlook them the next time I am looking for a hotel.

I had called two nights before my stay to confirm the details and to also request if we could possibly check in a bit early due to the timing of the wedding and time we needed to get ready. The woman I spoke to said she would note it but could not promise anything. I understood that but was happy to have the request in. Normally check in is 3pm, she said she would try for 2pm. I was pleasantly surprised when we were able to check in around 1:45. That was so much help for us as we'd traveled a long way to make this wedding and need just a few extra minutes to take a break and get ready. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and modern. Didn't feel crammed into the room. The coffee in the room was not great. I like the easy set up of the machine but the coffee didn't taste very good. The coffee available downstairs in the lobby was much better. I do not expect to be in the area again so I don't see myself returning but if I did, I would happily stay again.

The hotel has a lounge, restaurant and a rooftop to hang out and eat/drink at. There are also a lot of options on main street just out from the hotel. The hotel use to be a post office, originally built-in 1914, and they incorporated that nicely into little touches inside the hotel. When you walk in you are in the lobby/restaurant area. The front desk is right there. During my whole stay I received great customer service. I surprisingly arrived on their grand opening day. They had a soft launch open two months previous. For being a new hotel my stay went smoothly. If you walk in from main street you are on the second floor. There is a parking lot/garage on the first floor. It seems that this option is the only accessible option since the second floor/main street entrance has stairs leading to the door. I stayed on the third floor - room 305 to be exact. I looked out onto main street. The elevators on each floor have their own room, so to my knowledge there are no hotel rooms next to a noisey elevator. The door leading to the hotel rooms is a heavy door and slightly loud though. My room was away from the elevator room door so it didn't bother me. One thing I love about this hotel is they used thick doors and the walls were thick and made well. I didn't have a problem hearing any hotel neighbors. I did hear noise from the street below, usually from the nightlife, but it never lasted too late. I do sleep with a white noise app so that helped. My room was done very well. I loved the decor and ambiance. It was high quality. It took me a minute to figure out the blinds haha, but I was very happy with it. My favorite part was the bed and pillows - it was so comfortable. Usually hotel pillows (even high end hotels) aren't that great in my opinion because they sink or her squished easily, but the Postmark hotels are the perfectly confortable. I slept super well here. Last note - they have a water station on the second floor down the hallway of the rooms. They supply pitchers and ice buckets. I loved having pitchers of water for my stay. I would definitely stay here again!

I tried to explain that I had booked the room already and even confirmed my reservation with THREE different staff members, however, I was told that their night staff took my money but "didn't extend my stay on their computer" -- it was the manger who booked me in for a week and yet she's the one who told me to leave in order to make way for the new guest. After that whole fiasco, I was then told to pack up my room and be gone by 12:25 or I wouldn't be refunded my money. Once I made it to the lobby, I was made to wait 20 minutes while the manager chatted on the phone because apparently calling someone else to help me was asking too much. I tried to discuss the issue with the GM who was rude and extremely condescending. Trying to fix the issue didn't help though because I was told I wasn't welcome back to the hotel. After leaving the hotel, I was approached by the GM in the parking lot who told me to either sign a receipt or give her back the refund she issued me. Now keep in mind that this was MY money that had been refunded by the hotel after they kicked me out despite me having paid and being booked. I told her I wasn't giving her MY money and she then attempted to grab my arm and then stand in front of my car. I'm not even sure why I chose to come back to this hotel because they don't clean the rooms. I stayed here for 3 full months back in 2022, and it got so bad that I had to go out and buy a broom, mop, mop bucket, and cleaners. In the end, I ended up spending $150 to clean the room. Housekeeping entered my room once and a pair of diamond earrings that I had sitting on my end table went missing. I practically tore my room apart searching for them because I didn't want to believe they would steal from me, but they were gone. After that, I just took anything of value with me when I left the room. Some of the staff are extremely sweet people but the majority are rude.

We stayed at the Best Western Mariposa with our family during our youngest son's hockey tournament,…read moreand this was by far the worst hotel experience we have ever had. We are a team with younger children, and parents made a point of supervising kids closely, following curfews, and being respectful to staff. Despite this, we were treated with suspicion and hostility from the moment staff realized we were a hockey team. On our first night, the hotel offered an empty room for kids to play mini sticks. The following day, when kids asked again, we were offered a different room that was dirty and had broken glass on the floor. Staff were notified, but no apology or concern was shown. That evening, while supervised kids were using the pool, another family (not part of our group) opened an unlocked side door and ran into the snow before jumping back into the pool. Some of our kids followed. There were no warning signs and the door was not locked. The pool was immediately closed by staff without testing water levels, and parents were falsely accused of children urinating in the hot tub. By 8:30 p.m., all children were in their rooms with parents. The following morning, our team manager received a rude email accusing our children of running the halls late at night and harassing guests--none of which occurred. The situation escalated further the next evening when staff aggressively confronted parents at the pool and accused a guest of having alcohol without cause. When another parent calmly attempted to speak to the desk manager to de-escalate, the staff member pushed past her and retreated to her office, where police were called. The OPP attended and confirmed there was no disorderly behavior. Everyone was allowed to remain for the night. Beyond staff behavior, the hotel itself was dirty and poorly maintained. Our room had a dead bug and personal items left behind, public areas were not well kept, and breakfast service was slow and inattentive. We would not recommend this hotel to families, sports teams, or anyone expecting professional service or basic cleanliness.

Hot tub and other amenities were on point. Never waited longer than a minute for an elevator. Staff was attentive and while they were busy, they definitely all deserve five stars. We would definitely stay here again. With that said a few things of note: 1. We were never told about the ski lockers or provided our combo for the lock. Perhaps a newbie ski family mistake for not assuming, but also frustrating. 2. I had called about clearance height for vehicles as we wanted to use our Thule on our SUV. The front desk was not much help. Had we known there is a valet lot for vehicles with rooftop boxes, we would have done it for the nominal fee. As I am sure many parents can relate, driving in a snow storm when you can't see out the rear is not fun... roof box solves that. 3. The restaurant on site is lackluster. Service is on point; however, food is just alright and pricey, it is chaotic, and why in the heck only "reservations get window seats" is a policy is beyond any family we spoke to. All these awesome window tables looking at the village and lake that go empty because "walk ins" are subjected to interior seating despite all those tables being empty our entire dining session is beyond me. This isn't Manhattan. 4. The restaurant bar, given how nice the rest of of the hotel is, looked pretty sad. You could see all the shelf lighting was defunct, it looked tired and not well kept. As a business owner myself, and for how front and center the bar area is, my gosh keep it tidy, lit up, and gleaming with some pizzaz. Thankfully for those of us with older kids it is open until midnight, and once again the staff is Johnny on the spot, but geez it has seen better days. I realize it sounds silly, but this hotel is pretty awesome and with the large lobby the bar area should be the North Star, not something I look at and wonder "are they closed already?"

I went to the front desk the next morning to let and showed them pictures (manager present) and they said they would take care of it and apologized. I booked this stay back in March for a staycation pass thru for a work job. At the time of booking…read morethe website and reviews indicated the location was serving up brown bag breakfast. I booked this after wanting to book the local holiday in and I guess with their take back to room host serve, prices moved 1.5X. Very frankly I was hesitant to book this after reviews were suggesting the place was tremendously mismanaged because of (maybe) short staffing during this pandemic. There were reviews about amenities just not available but the pool seemed to be operating. On arrival, the check in was easy, the room was okay, inspected the bathroom, checked the space it was okay. When you look into detail, the sheets are riddled with holes, there are "mystery stains" in the comforter, there are yellow stains on the bathroom wall paper, there are mosquitos in the room to suck you dry. Towels were rough, not soft. The breakfast buffet was typical. For a Hilton brand, I guess I expected something a little more than typical but acceptable. Only feedback was the options were not very diabetic friendly-that's bread option was whole wheat and white Texas toast and white bagels. The muffins were "plastic bag" stuff you would see in the states at low tier hotels. Really my diabetic travel companion could only eat whole wheat toast? The eggs were with cheese, with hame and red paper (so pretty much not halal) and pork sausages or pork sausage patty. The oatmeal was made in a pot for patrons to self serve, did not touch it, it was Covid -and not sure if sugar was added. The green cheese option was only whole fat and yogurt was only whole fat options. Juice was not fresh squeeze like some Hilton locations, it was your concentrated bags diluted. Parking was easy to get to, air conditioning worked. This hotel is not far from Tyndale park. Rating 4 - room was okay, -1 star for wall stains(of what I could see) Rating 2 - cleanliness and quality of sheets, towels (sheets had stains and holes) Rating 2 - limited food selection for breakfast. The local Holiday Inn had more breakfast selection, I would bet the comfort inn would have better selection too.
