I've dealt…read morewith many different people in my career, across many countries and cities, including many in Vancouver. Never have I met such an arrogant and rude owner as Jeff Pinder. Absolutely NO business ethics, no morals, the lowest standards and will avoid ALL client interaction once he has his hands on your initial deposit. He doesn't care about you, won't take notes or log any calls or meetings, doesn't make eye contact, very weak handshake and has very little knowledge or experience regarding the services he claims to offer. He does not know what he is talking about. Period. Once you make the initial email or call to Burst asking for help, Jeff will respond promptly, and happily to tell you that Burst can offer you everything and more within your budget. You'll probably feel a spring in your step and leave the meeting feeling confident and excited to get started with your project......or you might realize that he is not to be trusted immediately, so trust your gut! What you won't be told is that he will have forgotten the majority of what you said, and has not taken any notes. If for some miracle he has taken note, I'll bet your bottom dollar it won't be accurate since he doesn't listen and has the attention span of a child in a candy store. There's a good chance you'll end up asking for a refund (once you've spent more than you set out to) so don't allow yourself to be manipulated by what comes out of Jeff's mouth. I was mortified when I heard the excuses. No apology and not an ounce of care, almost as if he didn't have any pride or dignity. I wouldn't be surprised if the company were in financial turmoil, and the staff don't appear happy as they are the ones left to pick up the mess. I have been so unbelievably disappointed, and have lost an awful lot of money and business due to incompetence, lack of interest and pure greediness. I typically invest in and enjoy working with good people, that said, Burst's studio team don't seem bad at all, they are simply working for somebody who has absolutely no clue about anything regarding honest relations, strong work ethic, how to deliver successful projects and how to retain clients and actually like working with them - and not only for their money. Not sure how many lies Jeff has told, not even sure what was a lie and what was the truth. I hope whoever reading this has decided to look elsewhere for their creative requirements. Working with Jeff was a very big mistake for my business, and consequently caused me a lot of stress both professionally and personally. I wish somebody had given me a heads up sooner, hence this review. I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry. My experience has been very concerning.
