We wanted soothing music during while our guests were being seated at the chapel, and then we wanted specific songs for my walk down the aisle, and for after the ceremony. None of the other DJ's know what we were talking about, and I was beginning to get frustrated, and scared, that we wouldn't find the right DJ for us. I then went to Say It With Cake, a local bakery, and had a cake-tasting for our wedding cake. While there, I saw a flyer for Musicology DJ and Entertainment. When I contacted them, we scheduled an appointment to get together and discuss our specific needs. We met and talked for over an hour. By the time we left our meeting, my mind was totally "at ease", and I felt confident that everything my fiance and I wanted would be there. I was also given a list of references to contact. I contacted each and every reference on the list, and from weddings, to corporate functions, to religious affairs, I found out that Musicology DJ and Entertainment is exactly what I want! They delivered what they promised to each of their prior clients, and the clients were excited to recommend Musicology. They were with me through the entire planning stage of the wedding. We talked often, and anytime I needed to meet with them to go over additional details, they agreed to meet with me and my fiance. The wedding was a HUGE SUCCESS!!! Musicology played a very appropriate string quartet during the ceremony. The string quartet played current songs (Queen, U2, Beatles, etc.). Who knew that it would sound so amazing? I knew what song I wanted to walk down the aisle to, (it was a little obscure) and they had it! I was a little unsure of what song we should use after the ceremony, when my husband and I walked back down the aisle. Musicology's interactive website helped me decide what song would be perfect for my husband and me. The reception was also planned on Musicology's website, with the help of their Planning Form and Timeline. We planned each step of the way, from our introduction, to the first dance, garter toss, and cake cutting. Nothing was left out! There was an issue with one member of my bridal party, but Musicology flowed with the problem, and my guests were none the wiser! I would recommend Musicology DJ and Entertainment for ANY occasion. Their professionalism goes above and beyond what I was expecting. I needed several different set-ups, as my ceremony was outside, the cocktail hour was in one room inside, and the rest of the reception was in another room inside. Musicology had each room set up as we required, and their fee for the 3 set ups was very reasonable! They kept my family and friends dancing all night long! There were certain songs that I don't love, and I put them on my DO NOT PLAY list. Laura at Musicology (the Event Coordinator) said that that would be fine, but she asked what we would like to say to a guest if they request any of the songs on my Do Not Play list, and both my fiance and I said that if someone requests one of those songs, they should definitely play it!. Well, as it turns out, Musicology knows what they are talking about! They have performed hundreds of weddings, and they really know what keeps people happy and dancing. And the Do Not Play songs weren't nearly as "CORNY" as I thought that they would be. They worked with my crowd! If you are considering a Mobile DJ for any type of function, please consider Musicology DJ and Entertainment Company. They are very professional and accommodating. First, the three serenaded the guests who were sitting down to eat and then, about 30 minutes later, they played at the watering hole next door. Did they nail it? Take a look at the photos. See that woman clapping her hands? She danced when they started playing, and kept dancing throughout. I actually handled all of the communication via text and emails. Use the phone number listed on this page and send some simple details of where and when you'd like them to perform, they'll email you costs and time frames. They were on time, sharply dressed, and took one small break during the 90 minute assignment. They'll also happily partake of the enchiladas and cervezas, should you offer.
