Loved that we were able to pick or room from all the photos and choices. We called wanting to stay. The owner met us and showed us around. We enjoyed everything about Doc's. We felt at home and comforted with the personalized touch of staying there . The whole place was set up like originally back in the days . Antiques displayed but with a certain touch of perfection . The price of the room was perfect and being close to downtown it's easy to walk to a place for dinner . In all , I will definitely come back .

Our beds were brand new and were comfortable from what I remember! Although the Butte is near the road I never noticed the traffic but it's usually quiet anyway. The online listing showed a restaurant and bar at this establishment. Both of these were closed also. Breakfast in the morning.....better think again. There wasn't even a cup of crappy coffee to be had. The room we had was well worn. The water valves on the shower and bathroom sink barely worked and only with great effort. The front window had a huge crack from top to bottom. About the only good thing I can say about the Sandhiller on June 28, 2025 is that we didn't take home any bedbugs.

But this place is an exception to my rule. I'm here in Akron for work and the motel was recommended to me. I'm not disappointed at all. The room is immaculately clean and in excellent repair. The bed is comfortable and pillows are fluffy. There's a flat screen TV, large apartment type refrigerator (also spotless), microwave and coffee maker. They have Direct TV with lots and lots of channels like I'm used to at home. There's plenty of drawers for my clothes I brought for the week and hangers also. The water pressure is amazing and after a long day it feels wonderful. There's a laundry area but I haven't used it. There's also a activity area with a pool table my boys used with a TV and lots of space for people to gather, cook and eat. No, it's not a 4-star hotel nor romantic by any stretch of the imagination but it is clean, comfortable and safe. I've stayed at over 50 hotels having traveled a lot nationally and internationally and the Mojo Inn is one I would come back to every time I visit Akron.
