My co-workers and I tried this place for happy hour on a recent Friday (drink specials and half off starters) and it has quickly become a favorite spot! We have all loved the starters--the queso has the sweet-spot-balance of heat and flavor with house-made chips, the brie is roll-your-eyes-back-in-your-head heavenly, and the nachos have generous toppings and disappear quickly. The red rock keeps the dips hot for the entirety of our stay; there is no coagulation of the cheese. In fact, it actually bubbles while sitting on the hot stone. If you like a meal to stay hot, you will both love it here and burn the roof of your mouth if you're not careful. Recently, my husband and I invited another couple to join us to try their dinner service. The golf/game side of the restaurant looks like a sports bar but smells and serves food like a high-end steakhouse. Only at ridiculously reasonable prices. We ordered coconut shrimp, steaks, and perch with many different sides, and we all left raving about the food quality. Of everything! My husband ordered a ribeye but was served a different cut of meat (also delicious but not what he ordered). Our server, Ella, and the manager on duty kindly and efficiently rectified this with a beautifully cooked ribeye for us to take home gratis. When drinks, food, and service are this impressive, I almost don't want to write a review so I can keep this place to myself! I hate to write bad reviews but.... Ordered prime rib medium rare Came out well done Waiter tried to tell me to cut into the center so I did a d guess what? Well done In all fairness they cut my tab in half after having tried to replace the prime only to find out all of it was well done. Also no aujus as is customary. The mashed potatoes were good but barely warm. I did not complain. I've tried this restaurant many times since they've opened. I'll address the positives. The servers are truly the best part of the restaurant. They are hard working, friendly and very accommodating. The bartender Tony makes fabulous cocktails. I've given this restaurant one star for two reasons. First is the condescending, fake, unprofessional manager Kelly and second are the pathetic Inconsistent portions of salmon. The portions of salmon have shrunk exponentially as time has gone by. They started out a good six-ounce portion. Tonight I tried the Red Rock salad again with salmon. The salmon was a one-bite, two-inch by one-inch piece. No joke. When bringing this fact to the attention of Kelly, she basically rolls her eyes and gives some excuse. Doesn't even acknowledge the issue. Keep your expectations low and you won't be disappointed. read more

We met for a siblings lunch and used the golf simulator as well. Kianna provided outstanding service the entire time. She was very outgoing and really added to the experience. Management did a great job of checking in to make sure everything was going well. All of the food was fantastic, and while you may not think of a golf course restaurant for pizza we would highly recommend trying it! The S'mores Dip is also a must try! We dined with two other couples here for the first time and at the end of the evening, we all agreed we would not return. They are very disorganized, the kitchen and service was slow and our steaks overdone and had too much grizzle. Two of us ordered the tenderloin medium rare and it was served well done. We had to wait another 20 minutes for replacements. Two others ordered selections cooked on a lava rock and having the heat right in front of you was too hot and uncomfortable. There were only two GF sections and the kitchen did not seem to have any idea how to alter other tipically GF selections such as fish or steaks. Disappointed again. Same menu as Boatwerks, but service is terrible. Time to change the management team. We called ahead to see if there was a wait and told no. We got there and were told that only seating was at high tops by the golf simulators. The restaurant seating was reserved for the next 2 hours. I told them that we had just called and was told they were not on a wait. I said that it would have been nice if they had told me that was only for the high tops. She said that she had been there since 3pm and did not tell anyone that. I am positive I called the right number because I had to select "2" to get the restaurant, as opposed to "1" to get the pro shop. My wife and I decided to leave and the woman yelled "Your Welcome" in a very snooty tone. There are enough problems with this restaurant that the problem has to be management. Just wanted to let people know how bad of a experience we had at this restaurant on Saturday October 12, 2019. My wife and I decided to try something different and having a steak on a hot lava rock seemed like something new. So we made a reservation, arrived on time and was seated within a couple of minutes. That is when the trouble started. We sat there for over 10 minutes and was never checked on. Not busy only two other tables in the entire room. Two servers were walking around, bartender behind the bar watching the game a hostess and another person started setting up a couple of tables on the other end of the room and still nothing from the servers. After waiting for such a long time I said enough is enough and we got up and left. Stopping at the front desk a manager was there and my wife proceeded to tell him what had happened and that we had reservations and what table we were at and all he could say was "Oh I'm sorry". Well we will never have anything to do with any of the restaurants that are connected with this company and there are quite a few in the Holland area. read more
