My husband surprised me with dinner at RedRock Grille for my birthday. It's been a while since I've had a 5-star meal so I thought I'd better throw out some kudos. First, the food. What can I say? It was very delicious. I was delighted that my filet mignon arrived sizzling. The asparagus and potatoes were devoured quickly, and I couldn't get enough of my husband's french fries. Next, the ambiance. Aside for the fact that we had the restaurant all to ourselves for most of our stay, the view was amazing! The dinner experience alone made me feel so fancy and underdressed. I can't wait to experience dining in the summer. I would go for a walk outside or have some drinks by the fire pit. The numerous Christmas trees and hanging ornaments gave the place such a festive vibe. Last but equally important, the service was fantastic. The place was a triple treat for my milestone birthday. Speaking of which, my entree was half off since today is my actual birthday. Yay me!

Been coming here for a while and going to finally give a review. We went on Friday night and the place was very busy and lively. Our waitress was very friendly and kept our drinks and waters filled. I got the hot honey fried chicken sandwich and it was very tasty, the chicken was the right amount fried and cooked through. The chips are an underrated side. For desert our party of five got three chocolate chip cookie skillets and it was one of the best deserts I've ever had, more than enough for two people to share. Will definitely come again!

Stopped in for a happy hour with a friend this afternoon - our lucky day because it was happy hour special on Wednesday's! I got a seltzer that was $2 off and my friend got $4 off a glass of white wine. We each ordered an appetizer because they were also $4 off on special. I got the fried ravioli that came with a delicious hot tomatoes sauce with goat cheese. Super yummy but the dip was HOT HOT on the rock - 9/10! My friend got the boneless BBQ wings, also very good! We were the only table in the restaurant this afternoon, super clean table right by the window. Service was great! Will definitely be back again for happy hour!

A friend recommended this place for a nice dinner with our family. I like the ambience, the windows make it feel open. We went at night soft lights and not too loud background music was also appreciated. Although I really think instrumental should just be the go to in most places. Personal opinion. The menu had a good mix of items that all four of us could find something we wanted. Service was excellent. My steak cooked to order in the lava rock was great. I wouldn't have minded a little instruction on the best way to navigate doing it. But I got it figured out. The fajitas that come out on the same plate were a bit messy. The oil splatters a little as it rests on the rock. Overall the food was delicious the service was great. The desserts were tasty too They offer a membership which might be worth it if it becomes your regular. Looking forward to returning.

Wow! What a great experience. The stark and prime rib were good cuts and the hot rock my steak came on made it more fun. Brianna took great care of us. Definitely will come back, especially for the specials!

This is a great place to go on a date, or with a group of friends! This place is really pretty. RedRock Grille is located by a golf course which adds a nice touch to the clean and minimalist scenery. We went during dinner on a Sunday night, so there weren't many people there. When you enter the building, you will walk down a set of stairs to the restaurant. The interior is beautiful and has a slightly darker sophisticated vibe to it. We got the tuna steak and the 12-oz NY Strip, and I would recommend both of these dishes. These dishes come out on hot, thick, sizzling stone boards that cook the meat. They basically continue to cook the meet as you are eating them. I liked the concept of it cause this allowed me to have complete control of the meet on how ready I liked it to be. The NY Strip had good tenderness to it and was hearty and filling for one person. You can choose two sides - one starch and one vegetable. I got the herb roasted potatoes and brussels sprouts. The brussels sprouts were good - well, I think they would have tasted amazing if they hadn't been over cooked to the point they were burnt! I was surprised to see how burnt they were... but maybe that was a one time thing. Despite the burnt parts, the seasoning was really good. I'd actually probably ask for it again and just hope they aren't burnt... but the potatoes were really good too! The tuna was soft and I love the sesame seeds on them. The edamame stir-fry was SO fresh - the colors were so nice!! Anyway, service was really great - our waitress was super nice and friendly. I'd come back here again and try their other dishes!

My view from where I was sitting.

This place was perfection. From the service, views, ambiance, and food. All of it -5 stars. I even noticed that all the guests were relaxed and having a great time. Not too loud. Cozy yet modern environment. The shrimp tacos were great, chips and salsa very good. The French onion soup was the best I have ever had and I order it a LOT. Also the Texas Twinkie Pizza .... Wow! Amazing. Full of flavor and you can tell it had only the best ingredients. We want to go back already!

RedRock Grille is located inside of Macatawa Legends Golf Course on the lower level and open to the public. Upon arrival, we asked for a table for 3 and they were able to seat us within five minutes. The restaurant was semi dim lit and very clean and nice looking inside. Lots of windows that open up to see the golf course and I bet it's beautiful during the day or sunset. Our server was able to get us waters right away and was very kind to us all night. We ordered our alcoholic drinks and waited for quite a while. They were delicious though! For an appetizer, we ordered the Pull Apart Cheesy Herb Bread which was house herb focaccia scored and baked with garlic herb butter, a cheese blend, and parmesan, served with pepperoni marinara. Sooooo good! We also ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp which was huge succulent shrimp that were battered and drizzled in their house made bang bang sauce. I absolutely loved this appetizer and enjoyed the crunchiness of it!! RedRocks most known for their 500-degree rocks to cook your food tableside. Both of my friends ordered steak and it was awesome to see the food and hear the sizzling of the meat. They pan sear your meat and you can cook to your own preference. If you're not interested in that, they have plenty of other items on the menu to choose from. I chose the Faroe Island Salmon and it was delicious and cooked perfectly! Normally would rate this place 5 stars but because our service experience was pretty slow I went down a star. I want to note our server was extremely kind and did accommodate to all our needs... but it just seemed busy or maybe he had an off night. We were interested in dessert but didn't even bother to ask for the dessert menu and just paid and went on our way. Overall a good experience and I would come back again to try more items on their menu! Also maybe would like to try their new brunch menu on Sunday from 11am-3pm.

The tuna "nachos" were excellent. I could've eaten a dozen of them lol. My tomato bisque also was quite good. I had mussel entre and my wife had the grouper. Not a great way to start a special evening out. I ordered the Caesar salad, which was as basic as possible.. I didn't realize you could mess up a Caesar. No croutons just a couple of pieces of bread. A few pieces of cheese sprinkled around, lettuce was chopped up too fine for a Caesar and yellow edges. Too much dressing and not tossed with the salad just dropped on the top. For $14 I would've expected a little more. Our server was great though, she knew the table location was odd at best for someone who had a reservation. So she came in often... but when I booked it I wrote in that it was for a birthday and it was never even brought up by the waitress. Just ignored. The entire experience wasn't terrible but just so so. Nothing special at all.

Our waitress was really nice and overall service was quick. We ordered the Lemon Chicken and the Wedge Salad. The reason why I'm giving this restaurant 3 stars is mainly because of the chicken dish. I was expecting it to be more citrusy, but I feel like whatever lemon flavor it was meant to have was lost by some sort of sweetness. I think the Meyer lemon butter made the dish was so oddly sweet it mixed in with the rice underneath. Overall, this dish was sadly disappointing since we were looking forward to something savory and herby but got what felt like a sugar bomb for chicken. The salad was good and loaded with toppings, however, I felt like there was way too much dressing that drowned the salad once it was all mixed. If possible, I would get the dressing on the side. All in all, great ambiance, good service and a wonderful location. Perhaps I just ordered the wrong things. Still worth checking out, if you're in the area!

If you want to find a place to try with friends, family, or a date, this is a pretty cool place to try out! There are pretty good options for food on their menu. The dishes that have borders around them are what the chefs recommend. Me and my friend decided to go that route. Warm Goat Cheese - really good! It had a really thick and gooey texture, and I felt with the warmth it added to the deliciousness to it. It really is a comforting dish to try out. I thought the Spanish tomato sauce really complimented to the warm goat cheese. They offer 6 pieces of bread; if you need more, they will give you more! Smoked Chicken Empanadas - this dish was pretty good. The shell was very crispy, but the chicken inside was actually pretty dry, to my surprise. The salsa tasted good though, and I really loved the red pepper cream. Beautiful dish though! I don't think I'd get it again though. I do prefer my empanadas slightly on the softer side. Garlic Shrimp Adobado - this was probably my favorite dish. My friend thought it was a little too strong with garlic, but what else would you expect with "roasted garlic, confit garlic butter, garlic chips" as the description?? I personally didn't find it too garlic-y. I loved it and would recommend it. It was flavorful and I loved the soft cloves of garlic. It wasn't too heavy of a dish. Smoked Bacon Wrapped Medjool Dates - this was also one of my other favorites. If you're getting this dish with other ones, my suggestion is to eat this last because the dates are naturally pretty sweet which almost make it feel like you're eating a dessert dish. The bacon was sooo good and cooked so well with the dates. Super decadent dish and unique! If you are not familiar with tapas style, the front of the menu talks about tapas and the communal aspect of it. I loved that they did it! True to tapas style, the restaurant can serve you one to two dishes at a time, which I would recommend. The service was great. Super friendly and warm. On the slower side, but I think it was just because it was pretty busy that night.

Bowerman's on 8th is a love letter to the humble blueberry, written in the language of warm lattes, fresh pastries, and shelves overflowing with jars that seem to bottle summer itself. As someone with a dairy allergy, coffee shops can sometimes feel like places built for everyone else. But here there was kindness in the details--different milk options, thoughtful choices, and the feeling that everyone should be able to enjoy a good cup of coffee. Traveling from out of state, this was one of the places I circled on my map, hoping reality would match the stories. Somehow, it was even better. The blueberry latte was the kind of drink that slows time. Bright and refreshing, sweet without trying too hard, tasting like a morning walk through a Michigan orchard after the rain. Around me were cases filled with treats and shelves stacked with jams, syrups, and every blueberry creation imaginable, each one carrying a little piece of the region's soul. There is something beautiful about a place that chooses one simple thing and perfects it. Bowerman's does not merely sell coffee--it celebrates harvests, local traditions, and the quiet joy of gathering around a table. You leave with a warm cup in your hands, a bag of blueberry treasures under your arm and a feeling of satisfaction. Some places are worth the drive. Some are worth the hype.
