Our large freezer broke - we were storing food outside to keep it frozen, but then the temps suddenly warmed up. I called Reed's for information about freezers because I wasn't able to take 3 kids appliance shopping. I was given lots of time and information over the phone with a friendly employee. They price matched Home Depot online for a very nice frost free freezer. They charge $50 delivery to Oxford/Brandon and brought the freezer immediately ! They hauled away the old/broken one from the basement and installed the new freezer. There was a slight issue with my floors being scratched - the employees took responsibility, took photos, and the owner called me to discuss repair. I chose a local craftsman to repair the flooring and texted the owner who promptly reimbursed me with a check. My point is that this would have been a HUGE hassle with a big box store like HD or Lowe's. I will definitely use Reed's appliance again as we will soon be looking for a gas range, and you cannot beat the customer service at Reed's. read more

We chose to purchase our new dryer from Reed's Appliance because we wanted to support local. We purchased a gas dryer from them. When purchasing I, was not asked any questions about what I needed. They are the experts, not me. When I said I needed a gas dryer, they never asked if we were using propane or natural gas. Upon delivery (which I paid for) the installer only had one size of hook up and told me that I needed to have my propane valve replaced to accommodate the 1/2 inch line he had??? He did not come prepared with alternatives. The actual line that would have worked is $30 from Home Depot. They told me to find a plumber!! was also not asked any questions about where the vent needed to be. So of course our vent is unique and the dryer vents from the side. Long story short, I need to return the dryer. I was told that not only would I have to pay for them to pick up the dryer they insisted on leaving at my house in my family room, but I would also have to pay a 20% restocking fee!!! Wow, I have to pay because their salesperson did not ask me one single question to make sure I was purchasing an appliance that would best suit our home? I thought I was paying for expertise but unfortunately not! We will never purchase another appliance from this store! If you are need of an appliance, skip this place and save yourself a huge headache!!!! If I could, I would give this place a negative rating!! read more

We purchased a refrigerator and dishwasher this year and paid to have the dishwasher installed. It took a long time for the appliances to come in but that was to be expected. And they held them in their warehouse until our carpenter remodeling our kitchen wanted them delivered. At first the guys delivering the appliances didn't want to deliver them because of our stairs, there's about 30 of them. I coaxed them into bringing the refrigerator down the stairs using a large hand cart that I had. The one they brought along was woefully inadequate to do the job; it wasn't tall enough and the tires were too small. We had to slide the refrigerator down the last set of steps in its box and did so without damaging it. While installing the dishwasher, the guy installing it, at one point, asked me if I knew anything about wiring. Needless to say, this didn't inspire much confidence in me as to his abilities. He managed to get it installed without any leaks so far. We'll see what my contractor thinks when he brings his plumber out to do more work. When they finished installing the refrigerator, basically just pushing it in the slot for it, they moved the old refrigerator to my front porch and then refused to take it with them. I have yet to be reimbursed by Reeds for the haul-away fee. I don't really blame the two kids they sent out to do the job since the tools they were given to work with were totally inadequate. That an appliance store that advertises free delivery and haul-away services without sufficient or up-to-date equipment is advertising a lie. We went to Reeds because we wanted to buy local and thought we would get a friendlier service than through a big box store (They are across the street from Walmart). As it turns out, I guess smaller family owned stores can't offer the same services as larger retailers because they don't have the capital to buy the necessary equipment for their business. One other thing. We live on a hill and our driveway is gravel and somewhat steep, but not outrageously so. As soon as they backed down our drive, the driver got out and said, I'm gonna have to get towed out of here. I assured him that he would be able to easily drive out of our driveway and told him that if he didn't think he could do it, I would be happy to drive the truck up to the road for him. When they left they easily made it up the driveway without any problems. All in all, I wouldn't buy anything from Reeds again. Too cheap to properly supply their laborers with the correct equipment. Probably not paying them enough either. read more

My mother needed her dryer fixed today (May 9th) at 3:00pm, she told them this in advance, instead they came very early while she was at work cause people believe it or not have jobs and when she called to tell them that she said 3:00 they made it seem like it was her fault for not being there and that they will only operate on their own time instead of doing that thing that people do in order to make it on time to a planned event called an APPOINTMENT?!?! Now she has to call the company that made her dryer to fix it?! Bad business, buy from somewhere else! read more

I had a washer installed today the second once since the first one was defective. When I got home I found a slow leak from the cold water shut off. The first employee I spoke with said he couldn't help. He advised my daughter who he spoke with to contact a plumber. The second employee told me that I was informed at the installation of the first washer that there was a leak in that location. Not the truth! That would mean that I had a leak for 6 months unattended. There isn't any water damage in that area. They did call back later and say they would come out and fix it. After they had lied to cover up the leak they had left I declined. I am so disappointed that they chose to not take responsibility for the leak. I think they just needed to change the cold water shut off valve. I will NEVER do business with Reeds again. I like to keep my business with smaller companies such a let down. read more

Store staff smokes in back and stinks up the place. Otherwise has a decent selection and prices. They also stock speed Queen washers and dryers, which is awesome. I am allergic to cigarette smoke and won't return because of the sinus problems this created. read more
