Very disappointing that the other review- the first review for this new business- left such a biased review without even trying the products from this business. If you are uncomfortable- speak up. Now to my review: My personal experience for the two times I have been to Reed's has been nothing but amazing. First, the owner Reed was wearing a mask! Two) the Nutella Mocha is awesome and so is the Dirty Chai. Reed is very friendly and takes the time to understand what you want. She has many non-diary alternatives and you can see the passion and great care she takes to make your drink specifically for you. I think this is exactly what downtown Morehead City was missing! There is outside seating and the coffee shop's location is not on the busy main road. I will continue to come to Reed's! read more

It was absolutely amazing. From the time I entered the door and was greeted by the cheerful barista. Very friendly and inviting staff. Ambiance is to die for. Plenty of room for seating and hanging out with friends. Specialty coffee and smoothies as well as delicious muffins and treats. Sure to please any pallet. There is a variety of art work to admire or buy. Quaint little shop in the heart of Morehead City right on the waterfront. Will certainly put this on my schedule for regular visits. Thoroughly enjoyed talking with the staff and getting recommendations on places to visit in the area. I hated to leave but will return every chance I get. I was introduced to Reed's by a sweet friend for my birthday. After being introduced to Reed, of which, she is precious! I felt like I just dropped in to a friend's house. Reed was very friendly and her kind smile will brighten your day! I told her (as the strong coffee drinker that I am) I do not know what I wanted but a sweet, warm and soothing coffee. She asked, if I liked chocolate and cherry...uh yes..so I got a dark chocolate and cherry latte! I hope heaven has them! My favorite!!! I am confused about the first review. She was willing to go into an establishment where patrons can eat and drink without masks on, but couldn't stay because she saw the barista and two patrons without a mask? The two times I've been there the barista had her mask ready to pull up. As for the patrons, many people have had the "vaccines". As for my experience, the barista was very friendly. My husband and I got Chai Tea with oat milk and pound cake. Yummy! read more

Best coffee shop in town! Its a gorgeous space. Very clean. Reed is such a pleasure! They have so many drinks, snacks and smoothies to choose from. They also do custom framing, and have art made by a talented local artist on display and for sale. It's a nice place to hang out and enjoy coffee and chat. I love this coffee shop! I wanted a coffee shop for a change of scenery to do some work and Reed's is perfect for that. It's right in the heart of downtown Morehead and on a sunny day you can study steps away from Big Rock Landing. I had a Cafe Mocha and a small cold brew during my time there and loved both. The art and framing was also a unique and cool-looking aspect.
