Before I hired an attorney from Reel Fathers Rights APC, I was still actively fighting to restore my legal custodial rights. That was one of the most important issues in my case, and his team did not accomplish that for me. Not even close. I was ultimately able to achieve that on my own through self-representation. If you value your time and money, do not hire Reel Fathers Rights Law Group. My experience with this firm was incredibly disappointing and ended with me feeling like I wasted thousands of dollars. Looking back, I wish I had saved my money because I ultimately had to do the work myself--and I won my case without their help. When I hired the firm, I was told that my retainer would be enough to get me through my case. Instead, they burned through the entire retainer before we ever stepped foot in a courtroom and then billed me for nearly an additional $3,000. Those charges were supposedly for reviewing the case and other office work. I was even charged $100 just for making copies of paperwork while I was sitting in the lobby waiting. I have worked with attorneys before on an unrelated matter, so I understand that legal representation is expensive. However, I have never experienced a law firm exhausting an entire retainer--and then some--before a single court appearance. This is a follow up review after a recent hearing. My legal team has continued to produce results. They are positive although it is not quite ideal. The only reason I am giving the firm a 4 Star is just the reasoning of the pricing. Yes, you will get a breakdown of the cost, but some of them are internal and shouldn't be taking money from your pocket like a simple e-mail. The standard of the firm is not its quality and client care which is absolutely great, but instead its affordability. My legal team which involved Derek, Jasmine, Yarely were absolute great in getting my case to its conclusion. Spent over 22k$ within a 8 weeks time frame on legal fees and you will never believe when they took the wonderful decision of switching attorney representing my case (Miss Dollores Lopes).....a week prior to court date ! But nope, they wanted my money asap and then their finance lady calls like a telemarketer to demand (not ask) to add more money to my account, and when I push back she threatened to remove them from representing me. I think all a lot of us being g represented by this firm are facing up hill battles that are very disappointing and unfortunate. I think all the billing seemed relatively fair despite the high cost. I think folks would be spending that kind of money anywhere and not promised a certain out come. It's really unfortunate, but that's how it is. In a loosing situation it was nice to have reelfathers represent me. I felt like my attorney Sandy and my Paralegal Katie really was able to hear me and use the evidence I provided and argued all my points well. Unfortunately it was an uphill battle and I didn't get exactly what I wanted. However Sandy prevented them from totally steam rolling over me. I was able to stand up for my self. They advocated for me in a way I thought I would only dream about. It felt good to be a thorn in their side. I think it's important to remember that the courts are extremely bias and we are all fighting against extreme bias and are facing a lot of hurtful times. I can't compare this law firm to any other because they're the only one that got me thru domestic violence case against me and the child custody case. My name is Francis Miguel Malig, I am 30 years of age, a father to a 6 year old son. My opening remark for this review is that Reel father's law firm is the REEL DEAL. Attorney Nicky and their team had handled my case with great, tremendous care. They were professional, easy to reach, fast to act, and they were nothing short of excellent. I could not think of a better firm/lawyer to fight in my defense. In the past 5 years, I have been through it. Court hearings one after the other, from child custody modifications, to child support, to frivolous restraining orders.. in my experience, it was a constant struggle looking for a lawyer who actually cared enough to study my case.
