Danish artist Thomas Dambo has built seven giant trolls from reclaimed wood using old shelves, pallets, and branches from fallen trees. Trolls are 13 to 60-foot-tall sculptures and are dotted around the forest with some practicing chores and others taking a rest. Super fun to discover! But be careful for mosquitoes - they are brutal in the wooded area. Mr & I got totally eaten. But better than being eaten by the trolls. This place absolutely rocks!

I never agreed until I actually went to one as an adult), but we were allowed to go the Linnaeushof, and by our early teens we were riding our bikes 30 minutes to go hang out here. The Linnaeushof has equipment for kids of all ages, ranging from a simple play area for toddlers, to go-karts, an indoor playground, huge slides, a small waterpark, and really cool chairlifts that took you for a ride across the lake, which you could also explore by paddle boat! At the heart of the playground stands a restaurant, though perhaps snackbar would be a better term. Basic french fries, kroketten, etc., and ice cream. Nothing special, but it's perfect for kids parties and long playground days.

I just love it. I really do…read more On weekdays it's a bit quieter, but even in the weekends when the park is pretty full, the open and free atmosphere remains. People are friendly and cheerful, no one's afraid of having a little chat regardless of if you know one another. Sometimes there's groups of people that bring a guitar and play some music. I've brought my longboard a few times and ended up meeting new people, had a chat about boarding, and even swapping our boards and trying them out in the park. Usually I go here alone and just chill out with a book or music, and I've stayed until the early hours, and always feel safe strolling about by myself. It's definitely my favourite park!

This is the main park of Breda. It's close to the train…read morestation/bus depot and easily accessible from the city centre. There are loads of events in the summer and it's always crowded. There's also a lavatory, it really smells so wouldn't recommend that one.

We saw an extensive wooden play structure with rope bridges, ladders, high and low structures, at least 200 feet long! Our daughters would've loved playing on it! Walking paths everywhere, lots of bodies of water with ducks, grassy areas for picnicking and playing frisbee and flying kites!
