I really like coming to this movie theater because of the ambience, it's always clean and the workers are always friendly.

From start time to the actual movie was 26 minutes of ads. Not even interesting ads either.

01.04.2025. We normally just watch movies at home, but it was our anniversary so we decided to go to Fredericksburg for lunch at a restaurant and to the Regal cinema for a movie. We had an acceptable experience at the movies, and would return to this theater. Pros. * Tickets were easy to purchase at a kiosk, and the ticket-taker was personable in directing us to the correct theater. * The seats were comfortable, and sufficiently sloped so our view was not obstructed. * There were a number of good movies to choose from. We watched "A Complete Unknown", with Timothee Chalamet; both the movie and actor had been nominated for Oscars. Chalamet not only sang all of the Bob Dylan songs, but also learned guitar and harmonica for the production of the movie. * All patrons in the theater were respectful, and we were able to enjoy the movie without the nuisance of other rowdy patrons. Cons. * We had to sit through over 30 minutes of advertisements before the movie even started. * Movie tickets have become expensive. Our afternoon SENIOR tickets were $10.15 each (including $0.66 tax). * Parking was a bit confusing. We parked in a lot on the right but it wasn't obvious where the entrance to the theater was. Neutral. * This is an older theater, but that wasn't an issue for us. * The concessions line seemed to move quickly, but we tend NOT to purchase the popcorn, candy, and sodas offered at concessions stands. * You can earn credits towards movies and concessions by joining the Regal Crown Club. read more

Only good thing is the location. Nothing has been updated in years Theatre 3 is super small and flat with uncomfortable chairs. Its been a long time since ive been here and it will be a very long time or never will i come back. Ill stick with hooky and theatre's that put money into updates of there seats and bathrooms. I hadn't been here in YEARS, and i was pleasantly surprised to find that it no longer smells like urine upon entry like it did back in my youth! The seats aren't large or extra comfy but they weren't bad. I didn't get any concessions, so I can't comment on that. The worst movie theater popcorn. They charge for extra butter and there was hardly any. And the popcorn was not very good.

Stopped in here to see an independent feature that a friend made and was screening. I don't know how old the theater is (maybe 90s era?), but it's an older design and some of the exterior decor is faded. The stadium seating is comfortable and the picture and sound was good. This was my first time at this Regal. It's very tricky to get in the parking lot sometimes because cars often accidentally block the entrance to get onto Plank Road or to cross it. It's also not easy to see where the actual entrance is when the crossing lane is blocked. There are three areas to park. One to the left of the building which seems to have a few more spots compared to the right and then the one row in front of the theater. It was good to see plenty of handicap parking there because that's where they should get priority. The theater itself is a bit outdated looking. The manager and workers are friendly and handle issues very well! Tuesdays are the BEST deal days to go and to also get concession food. You'll get so much bang for your buck compared to other days but I know it's because most people can't come on a Tuesday so it's a smart way of getting business on a usually dead day. I would definitely consider coming back because of the concession deals. I pay triple at the other theater even though they have ticket deals too. This Regal will compete a lot more if the seats were better. read more

So incredibly disappointed in our experience at Regal with the Minecraft movie. Movies are expensive- between snacks, five tickets, and a sitter for our infant- it was well over $100 for the night. Our big kids were SO excited and left incredibly disappointed because of how obnoxious other patrons were being. I was one of three people to complain and yet nothing was done. Will be hard to come back and know that if there is an issue it won't be effectively resolved. Hopefully future movie goers will be less loud and not ruin it for the younger guests, and hopefully Regal will actually do something in the future if that kind of thing occurs again. read more

Dated theater. I haven't seen one like this in awhile. Seems like every theater in the country has gone the stadium route, likely because it's a good idea that offers the best experience for guests. This one still has the old-school slope from front to back with seats that tilt back a little but dont recline. Concessions line was too long due to short-staff. I got to the movie 20 mins before my movie started but waved off after 10 because I knew I wouldnt make it. They only had 2 people working back there and just 1 register open, must have been 20 people in line. Same price that you're going to pay going to a newer style theater. read more

Opening day for a new movie yay! Not! We drove 50 miles to Regal Fredericksburg for opening day and opening time for a new movie. We arrived, bought popcorn and tickets, and sat down only to find out the projector was not working and the movie would be canceled. There were several people in the theater for this opening, and they were just as disappointed as we were. The manager on duty, Jaylan, apologized and reimbursed us for the tickets and the popcorn. About two years ago, this very exact thing happened at Fredericksburg Regal where we drove the same distance and the movie was canceled. We spoke to the manager (at that time) about our expense of the long trip over and how the cancellation pretty much ruined our plans for the whole day. Understanding our frustration and our expense, the manager (at the time), gave us complimentary tickets for a later date of our choosing. ***That was reasonable and fair. We asked Jaylan if he could please do the same and give us complimentary tickets for our frustration and our expense. He stated no. We asked to speak to his manager and he said his superior was on vacation. We asked if he could call anyone, and he said no. We also asked him if there was an empty theater and if he could transfer the film to a different theater. He stated there were empty theaters, but that he could not transfer the movie to another theater. So much for a fun day at the movies:( read more

This was my first time coming to this theater. I came through the door and the ticket counter was immediately to the right. In case you need it, the self-service ticket counter is around the corner from the ticket counter. I was greeted with a smile and got my ticket really easily. I had just come from dinner; therefore, I could not eat any popcorn, but everything smelled great. The movie that I went to see was in Auditorium 6 and I did not like the way that auditorium was laid out. I know that it is not fault of the staff, but I was not used to going to a theater where you fill from the back to the front. I decided on my seat, but the way the seats are aligned, I couldn't really enjoy the movie experience. I did not have a chance to check out the other auditoriums, so I would suggest everyone check out the theater for yourself. We recently went to see the Deadpool and wolverine movie and the service was great even with it being extra busy due to the merch, and the General Manager Eric went above and beyond to help me and my girlfriend get the baby Deadpool, he was helpful in answering our questions and it meant a lot especially to my girlfriend, we come to the movies on our anniversary and we're glad we came here and will continue to do so. My sister and her family joined me to watch Rogue One. Parking is a little tight--we parked across the street. The concession stands are pretty typical with the usual high-priced items. We got popcorn and soda. The popcorn was a little above average. The seats are very comfortable and all seemed to have a good view of the screen. The sound quality is also nice. The theater was quite clean. The could use more stalls in the bathroom, but overall a good place to see a film. read more

Terrible staffing. No one available at the ticket counter for 10 minutes. Those that actually were around were not engaged with customers.

We arrived 15 minutes before the movie was about to start and waited in the concessions line to purchase our tickets. I am not sure if it was just because it was a late night movie they changed it to that? It took way too long though. We finally get into the theater at the time our movie was about to start playing. There was old pop corn bags and drinks EVERYWHERE! It was almost like they didn't even try to clean? It also smelled like kitty litter. The trailers start playing and all is better. But then 5th trailer later, it's been 30 minutes and the movie still hasn't started yet. I haven't been to this theater in a while and I don't think I will go back unless I absolutely have to or have a free ticket. read more

I know most people probably prefer Paragon village over regal here in the Fredericksburg area. But I think they are selling themselves short. I think that the chairs are more comfortable at regal even though they just got new leather recliners at Paragon. I think that the people who work here are nicer. And if you go to the IMAX, OMG the chairs are so incredibly comfortable. The only bad thing about the IMAX is that sometimes in shooting scenes it gets a little bit too loud but other than that it's fine. Also many times I have seen the manager working the ticket booth or behind the counter right along with the workers. And to me that's a great thing. adult matinees are usually $9 unless you're going to an IMAX when I think it's $17‍. Don't quote me on that bc I'm not always sure . read more

Talk about the seats . TRASH !!!! First of all there so close to the front and back seats anytime some one passes theres no room and u can feel it when someone is right behind you and walking by . This movie theater was really close to our hotel and was showing the movie we've been trying to see for a couple of weeks, so we decided to check it out. It's not the biggest movie theater I've ever been too, but it sufficed. When we entered into the theater it was empty, but it clearly hadn't been cleaned after the last show. Popcorn on the floor, wrappers in the chairs and empty cups in the arm rest. No bueno! All of the chairs were the rocking kind and the showing had ample amount of seats. All in all, it was an okay theater that was convenient, but if you're going for glitz or glam, this isn't the place for you. read more

My daughter and went to see the Crawl movie yesterday. Upon entering theater room 9 we immediately noticed the smell of musk and mildew. I hadn't been here in awhile and I did enjoy the movie but, I was thinking the entire time that I wished I had a can of febreze. The Regal is no where near the downgrade that the Marquee Cinema is, but if it does it'll be another theater on my not to visit list. I gave 3 stars because their customer service was very good. Just watched Captain Marvel with some friends. I had booked the tickets yesterday for the Saturday 10:45 pm show. We arrived and went to the ticket counter to pick up the tickets and we found out that I had reserved Friday 10:45 pm not Saturday. Devastated! The only time I ever go to this theater is when the movie I want to see is not playing at Paragon. The theater is fairly clean and the staff is nice enough but the price for what you get compared to other theaters is absurd. A large fountain drink was $7. The seats in the theater seem to have been replaced recently but they are still not very comfortable. Ticket prices are the same as other local theaters. The worst part was some sort of fan kept kicking on during the movie and it was so loud it made it difficult to actually hear the audio. (We were in Theater 10) read more

This movie theatre is pretty good!! Their popcorn is a little stale but it's completely fine! Their drinks are really good and taste better than a restaurant or another movie theatre. We just left there. They've decided that you can no longer purchase your tickets at the ticket booth and have to stand in line at the concession stand to buy them. It was a mess. We've been going there for years, but we've decided this will be our last trip. The theater at Spotsylvania mall has the new lay back chairs anyhow that are much more comfortable. A relatively run-down and small Regal, particularly for an area like Fredericksburg. The outside and inside of it feel like they haven't been updated or maintained in years. It functions but on the inside has a very 'rusty' feel to the ticket box and concessions stands and the halls to the theaters are tiny. The actual theaters were normal. The outside parking lot however was absurdly miniature and bent around and about in a strange shape - not what you'd expect from a theater serving a very large population. UPDATE sorry I'm adding this a little late, I'm a busy person. On Thanksgiving day we went to see the new Thor movie with our teenage son and adult daughter, in town from Atlanta. The FIRST THING she said when she sat down in the theater was, " Why does it smell like piss in here?" Sorry for the crass language, but those were her words. And I told her, "because people urinate in here and it is not properly cleaned, I guess." Seriously, management? How can you allow this to continue? Do complaints have to go to corporate before you can clean it? Dollar Tree is within walking distance, go get a $1 mop and a $1 bottle of Pine-Sol! I bought my ticket via the online app so I cannot speak to how the ticket process was. I was not expecting much out of the theater because of the outside appearance and not a very big lobby. Was presently surprised because the attendants at the concession counter and the ticket takers were all very pleasant, helpful and very informative. Dealing with the public it's very easy to be just not caring or dismissive, but it seemed everyone really was there to help or give information. I decided to get a reserved seat this time around because I wanted to see the imax version of the Avengers and it's well worth the extra dollar! The theater was very clean! I was pleasantly surprised at the appearance as well as the comfort level. Sound quality was pretty much spot on as well. As for the pricing of everything seemed to be average to fair compared to what I usually pay. I've seen some reviews stating the prices were too high. I think they were pretty on par. It's not like you're going to a fast food restaurant, it's the movies, things will be a little higher priced, but it's not outrageous. I will definitely be coming back again and spring for the reserved seating theaters! read more

Come here all the time... but this may be the LAST! So it's summer movie series at regal. Today is last day and they are showing Lego Batman movie.(the most popular one all summer that they showed) 1) they have ONE cashier. Waited 25 mins in line. 2) they have three cashiers for snacks... not a bad number if there was only parents and kids.. not camps! Camp groups of 25?!? Waited 35 mins in line for one snack pack!
