At the front of this shop there is dining furniture and various large, well upholstered sofas and chairs with large patterns. There is also bedroom furniture but there isn't enough room in here for much choice of anything, though there is a catalogue of further items to choose from. I continue to be on the look out for a small desk, though not an office one, but there wasn't anything like that here so then I contemplated the dressing tables in case one might suffice instead. The owner didn't seem to mind me hanging about asking useless questions, rather, he cheerfully said that least I would have plenty to think about. Regal Furniture also offers a reupholstery and recovering service for chairs and tables. Regal Furniture opened on the spot of my favourite video rental store. This would have broken 7year old daffie's heart but happily the internet is around and I don't have to worry about renting videos anymore! The shop is rammed! There's very little room to manoeuvre through all the furniture stacked on top of each other, but they're making the most of the space they've got I suppose. Their prices are a little steep but they can be haggled down if you the guts to do so! What does confuse me about this place is that as well as being a furniture, it appears to also advertise in the window, portrait photography. AVOID, AVOID!!! Bought a corner sofa from their Newtownabbey store which was delivered, in good time, in Dec 14. Good enough piece of furniture. Problem was we noticed a tear on the back of it only two days after delivery. On closer inspection it turned out to be a clean cut, which could only have been caused by a sharp blade, and which we surmised was accidentally done by the guys that delivered it when the were cutting off the plastic wrapping. Let's face it, the cut was quite low down and none of us in the house run about with sharp blades attached to our footwear!! After several phonecalls and, eventually, a visit to the store a guy (think it may have been one of the owners) called out to take a look after a few months. He strenuously denied all responsibility. As they advertise themselves as an upholstery firm we asked them if they could repair it. We were even willing to pay for the repair, rather than put up with an unsightly cut in our new piece of furniture (after all, we didn't order one with a cut). Needless to say we haven't heard from them since and it's now May 15 and quite honestly don't expect to unless we pursue the matter further ourselves. So, AVOID, AVOID!!! read more
