Shayna was amazing while we were gambling at MGM Springfield tonight. She was constantly checking on everyone, had an awesome attitude, and made the whole experience more enjoyable. Even while covering a busy area, she stayed friendly, attentive, and quick with drinks. What stood out most was how personable and upbeat she was. You can tell she genuinely enjoys taking care of guests, and that energy goes a long way when you're spending time at the casino. This was my very first time at this Regal Cinema, and it was a little confusing to find because you have to park at the casino, and the casino is huge with various floors. I wish there were a directory where the elevators are to tell you what floor the theater is at but once you get on the right floor it's hard to miss, and the smell of popcorn will help guide you. We went to go see the new Lilo and Stitch movie, paid for the tickets online and honestly, these were probably some of the best seats I've ever sat on at a movie theater. Suuuuper comfortable, you can put your feet up if you want to, there's a small table for you to but your food and drinks on, really luxurious feeling if I do say so myself. You pay the price though because this is probably the most expensive movie theater I've been to as well. The large popcorn bucket was $14 and the large drink was $10. It hurts just typing out the prices on here. With that money, I can walk over to Red Rose that's right next door and get the 14 slice pie with 2 toppings... for real. So yeah, come for the movie, but save your money and eat next door. read more

"Start the projection machine Everyone's gone to the movies Now we're alone at last" (Steely Dan) My wife was given a Regal gift card a few years ago, and we never got around to using it. Covid 19 kept us out of the theaters for 2 years, and closing after closing of Regal theaters really kept the number of possible nearby destinations to a minimum. Yes, there are over 500 Regal theaters in the country, but there is just one remaining in Connecticut, (in Waterford). Luckily for us, there is one in nearby Springfield, MA, in the opulent MGM Grand Casino complex, so that's where we went to see Oppenheimer on Saturday. We parked for free in the 5-story casino garage and took the elevator down to the first floor casino level. From there, we took an escalator up to the Regal. Tickets are sold at kiosks, so you will never buy your tickets from a cashier. The kiosks worked great, and we easily paid for our $12.50 Senior tickets using that old gift card. I should point out that when you buy your tickets, a seating chart opens up on your screen, so you buy reserved seats, like you're going to a concert or a ball game. We saw a big concession stand and a big bar on the same level, so you can get a beer and a popcorn if you want to. Oppenheimer started at 11:30, and the bar and concession stand opened up at 11:00. We walked over to the theaters at 11:15 and were met by the only human being we interacted with when a cheerful jolly guy checked our tickets and directed us to screen #5. The seats are fantastic, super comfortable with a button that raises your legs as if you are in a living room recliner. The sound and projection were flawless, and since both were such a big part of the Oppenheimer movie, that was awesome. Some of the rumbling explosions during the Trident bomb test made me jump out of my seat. Our consumer experience at the MGM Regal was magnificent. Now maybe you can do better than $12.50/ticket, but I felt my time at the movies was worth every penny. read more

Took a break from the casino and headed up to the Regal theater. They have no one selling tickets so you are forced to use the ticket machines which are probably faster then having a cashier as you can easily choose your seats but the only thing is if you have questions there's also no one to answer them. I was trying to use my regal card and I guess they don't take it cause I had to enter the receipt number into my regal app to get my points. After getting my tickets, I noticed a bar adjacent to the concession stand so you can get alcoholic beverages with your movie if you want. The concession stand was busy and a little bit unorganized but the guy working the concession stand was good, telling me they were about the close, so if I needed refills he would get them for me now. I ordered a large popcorn for myself so I didn't need a refill but I appreciated him informing me about them closing soon and the offer for refills. After getting my snacks and my drink, I went to the theater which was pretty clean and comfortable and I enjoyed watching the Minions movie with a bunch of other families with kids. Overall, its a pretty good Regal theater and a good break from the casino. read more

First time there and had the grandkids. Had a great time, restroom location confusing, but did not take away from my experience.

I recently started coming here after seeming that their prices were a few dollars cheaper than the other cinemas in the area, Cinemark in West Springfield. Once I did it's been almost impossible to go back, as they offer cheaper prices, similar food choices at comparable prices, comparable seating with their reclined loungers, and online ticketing which makes buying and picking up tickets at the kiosk a breeze. The real one-up here is that they have a full bar with a variety of drinks, so if you prefer to enjoy a beer or wine with your movie they have that available at decent prices. The movie offerings are great with digital and Real D 3D offerings. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating and the theaters are always clean. Pro-tip: they allow you to bring beverages from the casino floor up to the theater! They have free soda and coffee machines right in the floor with a variety of sodas and sparkling beverages offerings. The cups aren't big but if you're looking to save money, this will definitely help! read more

What a great experience! Three of us attended Aquaman this past week, attending a weekday matinee. The wonderful experience started online in the Regal app. The app selected the three best seats automatically while still offering the option to choose other seats. The seats were smack dab in the center of the theater. These seats provided optimum audio and viewing angles. The theater is clean (brand new) and well maintained. The audio was engrossing without being too loud. Now for the seats, OMG, the seats are the reason to go back and back again. Wide, deep, and full power reclining. They were awesome! The snack bar came with many upgrades over a normal cinema, including a full bar! $8.25 for a matinee before senior discount will keep me coming back. A pleasurable, upscale movie experience. I am not normally a go out to the movies guy, but now I may convert. read more

While the actual movie theater itself is beautiful and very upscale looking, the concession stand is an absolute mess. It took us about 40 minutes to receive popcorn, chicken tenders, and cinnamon buns. We were late to our movie and we arrived 30 minutes early. It's very disappointing to have to purchase a ticket to a movie, pay for over priced food, and then be late to the movie that I paid for. The food was pretty good, but not good enough to stand in line for 30 minutes. While I was waiting in line, I watched the cashier hand my order to someone who just paid for their food. I confronted the cashier and she had me wait for another 5-10 minutes. These were only cinnamon buns and come to find out- they're in a pre-packaged plastic bag. I don't understand why they were not properly staffed on a busy Saturday night, but it was a very disappointing first impression of the MGM Regal Cinemas. My advice is that it is a beautiful movie theater and extremely clean, but if you want a decent experience- I recommend arriving at least an hour early. read more

Went on a busy Friday night to see A Star is Born. Got tickets for the second row. First off, the bar situation was not good. Two people were manning a long bar and there was no sort of clear line. It was annoying and took 20 mins to get a beer. When I got into the movie, I wished I had bought three more beers. We were in the second row and even with the seats reclined we were still looking straight up at the screen. Apparently A Star is Born is a touching movie, but their faces were so distorted that it took me right out of it. Then, starting in the very first scene of the film, and happening again three separate times, the brightest house lights came on for several minutes at a time. We definitely lost at least 15 minutes of the film to this. It's still early on, so hopefully this place will get it together. It's got good bones. read more

Not a pleasant place. The hallway to the individual theaters was filthy. There was popcorn and wrappers all over the floor. Most other theaters I've been to have an employee cleaning with a quick floor sweep. The guy scanning the pre-bought tickets was just plain rude. The food line was really long. The people working the food line could not care less about the rush. There obviously was not a proactive onsite manager/supervisor. The recliners were really loud when being operated. That was really annoying during a quiet part of the movie to hear somebody's recliner motor grinding away. One would think having a big money place like MGM behind them they would be a step above, they are not, they are a step behind. read more

The theater it self was pretty great but, the staff was very rude and the girl at the counter seemed to have an attitude. She was to fast when getting my popcorn and barley put any butter on my popcorn. When I left the theater after seeing the picture she gave me the meanest look if you find out who she is you should fire her immediately for reference she was short and skinny. Thank you for taking the time and when I return I hope she is fired. read more

I've been twice to this theater, The first time was on a Sat afternoon. Parking was available and there were elevators. Getting out of the parking garage was quite a trip. The bar was not fun. I stood in line for 20 min. There were two bartenders and about 18 people in line. The fancy 6 ingredient drinks take a long time to make. So you wait forever for that beer. The bartenders did not appear to be in any hurry. Then I went to the concession stand...another 15 min in line. The seats were great! Very comfortable and the little table pulls in so you have your drink and snack right in front of you. There is plenty of room for people to walk by you to get to their seats even when your seat is reclined. The sound system is very good. Second visit: On a Sunday afternoon, less issues with parking. The bar only had 12 people in line but alas... one very slow bartender. I gave up on the concession stand after 15 min with very little progress. read more

Had a wonderful time here. But I also went to a 10:30 showing on a saturday morning. So no lines at the bar or concession. No issues going to our seats. The recliners seemed to be a tiny bit bigger than west springfields. And plenty of row space in the theatre itself. read more

I had a lot of high expectations and I think that's where I went wrong. I've been to other dine-in theaters and I thought we'd have waiters and be able to order from our seats and have real entrees. Nope! I had to wait on a long line at the bar to get drinks and the bartender did not know what an old fashion or even what Knob Creek (Bourbon) was. Than we went to the concession stand to get snacks and I asked the nice young lady how long the food took, and she told me everything they make only takes about 3 minutes! Nothing fresh takes 3 minutes so I aired on the side of caution and got popcorn and pretzel sticks, and this review got 3 stars because of those pretzels and my overall experience, if not those would of been 1 star. The staff was super friendly and the theater was clean and the seats were super comfy. The only think also is that since it's at the casino and you park at their garage, is you need extra time to get in. I also went on a Friday night so it was pretty packed. Overall it was nice and I would go back again, I just might not order a drink from the bar or get any food. read more

First visit and probably our last! Horrible experience. We had tickets to a 7pm show and it's not every night we get the chance to go out without our daughter so we were excited for a date night. The movie was for 7pm after watching the 20 minutes worth of commercials they began playing the WRONG movie. After finding someone to tell they began to "work on the problem." Meanwhile we are sitting with one other couple in the PITCH BLACK for 20 minutes before I had to ask them to at least turn on the lights, god forbid there was a fire we couldn't see anything! After waiting 40 minutes they supposedly start playing the right movie. We watch the 20 minutes of the same commercials again... only for the screen to turn off after the commercials! We were then told "We are still working on the glitch and trying to reboot it still"! After sitting there an hour and 15 minutes for nothing we decided to leave it was getting way to late and it didn't look like they were fixing the issue anytime soon. We were offered two tickets for next time.. and then We went to ask for a refund. We were told "we already gave you a ticket for next time." We should of been refunded our money and received a ticket for the inconvenience. But what we really should of received was an apology at least! The supposed "supervisor" never apologized and got mad at us for asking for a refund! It was 8:28 when we left and our movie was for 7. Our time was completely wasted and you are gonna give us an attitude!? This was only the big problem, when we originally got there we went to the bar and were sitting there alone for 10 minutes before someone came out to help us. Then when we ordered our food while paying we were told "we don't have anymore of that." Then I was trying to redeem my points and apparently that wasn't working either. What does actually work there !?!? This was absolutely ridiculous, we were so excited to come here for the first time and it was ruined. read more
