You know how local business owners always try to ensure that the community members who pay for…read moreservices at their business are kept happy? That is not the case here. The only reason I am giving a 1 star is because giving no stars isn't an option and the staff who tried to help me, were nice. I would highly recommend NOT getting your hair done here. I went here to get highlights (partial blonde highlights) and over 2 hours later, left with botched hair. Not to mention, I went home with toner on my hair after three attempts of using toner to "fix" the mistake and it wasn't working, the woman doing my hair told me that all of the toner on my hair "should" fix the problem and just to wash it out when I take a shower. What type of business runs like this? This is unheard of to me. No exaggeration, this was the worst experience at a salon I've EVER had.
While getting my hair done, every person including staff and a customer there, noticed that my hair was being done incorrectly, as evidenced by all of the looks they were giving to me during the entire process. It's an issue to me, that not one person stopped the situation to avoid any further damage. Instead, they allowed my hair to be done incorrectly, which is embarrassing for a business to represent themselves like that. Before I left, I was told that if I didn't like my hair "tomorrow", to call so SOMEONE ELSE could fix it. When I got home, WASHED THE TONER OUT, dried my hair and started looking through it, I soon realized that it was much worse than what I originally thought. Random blonde blotches, a blonde line running across the top of my head and part.. and strands of highlighted hair that was 3 different colors from scalp to hair end.
To make a long story short, I declined having another person at the salon touch my hair and instead, asked for my money back. To me, a choice should have been given to me, whether or not I wanted someone to fix it there or to be refunded my money. My request for a refund was declined. A few days later I went to have my hair fixed somewhere else and paid $200 for the corrective color and highlights. I then made a second attempt and stopped in Touch of Class to see if I could again, request a refund but this time, in person. My second request was declined by the owners as well even though, salon staff said that they KNEW I'd have to get it corrected because they saw how bad it was before I left the salon that day. Honestly, I think this speaks for itself. I could understand if I didn't like my hair or if I were a difficult person, then maybe I could understand refusing to give someone a refund. But when a floor manager at a salon is the one who does your hair and it turns out so bad that you have to pay triple what you original paid for it, to have it corrected, this shouldn't even be a question of whether or not to refund.
So, please don't let the name of the salon fool you, as there was nothing classy about my experience. It's pretty evident that this business is not ran on morals, making people happy and quality service. Instead, the customer's satisfaction with the service means nothing and the quality of services being provided has low to no expectations. Avoid this salon and avoid the frustration and possibility of having to dish out more money to pay for something that should have been right the first time. I really do hate giving such a bad review, but I feel that when people are spending their hard earned money for cosmetic services that are supposed to make you feel good, it's my responsibility as a member of this community to ensure people are aware of the operations of businesses like this one, so that what happened to me, doesn't happen to anyone else.
